We currently have a very rare and exciting career opportunity within Blade Motorcycles for a Professional General Manager – Dealer Principal. Oxford Harley-Davidson is a successful, state of the art dealership with a very exciting future! You will be responsible for further developing a recently relocated business that represents one of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brands.

You will be responsible for and involved in every aspect of running the dealership including:

  • Dealership budgeting and profitability
  • Staff recruitment and development
  • Customer experience and relationship management
  • Motorcycle sales
  • FCA compliance, finance and insurance sales
  • Parts, Clothing and Accessories
  • Workshop Service
  • H-D CXI brand management
  • Stock and asset management

You will require a proven, successful track record within the motorcycle or automotive industry as either a General Manager, Dealer principal or an experienced Sale Manager looking to take ‘the next step’ ideally with a passion for motorcycles.

Other key attributes will include being a genuine leader and ‘people person’ who naturally motivates and drives a team to achieve business objectives. You’ll be ambitious, driven to succeed and the type of person that wants’ to ‘make a positive difference’ day to day.

The successful candidate will have a proven ‘track record’ in direct sales with a minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in either automotive, motorcycle, retail or service industry. Above all, you will have the ability to deliver a consistent and professional sales performance while offering customer service levels commensurate to working with one of the world's most recognised and iconic brands.

You will require a minimum of 3 years’ mechanical experience either automotive or motorcycle and hold a full UK Motorcycle licence. With the ability to deliver an efficient rate of work while maintaining the highest quality standards at all times, with a comprehensive technical knowledge of motorcycle mechanics and a proven track record in either the motorcycle or automotive industry.

Semi-Skilled / Motorcycle Technician / Improver

You will have basic motor vehicle knowledge with a minimum of 12 months’ mechanical experience either automotive or motorcycle and hold a full UK Motorcycle licence.

You’ll require the ability to deliver an efficient rate of work while maintaining the highest quality standards at all times. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to progress and develop within a supervised workshop environment. During the coming season you’ll be de-crating, building, undertaking pre-delivery inspections and fitting accessories to all makes of new bikes, under full supervision. With full commitment to success within this role, we will then offer further training and progression during 2018 to ‘Service Technician’ with enrolment on the required ‘manufacturer’ training courses to support your personal training and development.

This is a very rare and exciting opportunity for someone with basic technical ability and a desire to progress to fully qualified Motorcycle Technician status.

In return we offer full manufacturer training with a competitive salary package of between £17,600 > £21,000 (subject to experience and qualifications) Full time position 42.5 hours per week.
