The 2026 Ducati Monster V2

A New Engine, Less Weight, and a Bold Sport Livery Now at Ducati Oxford

The Monster name has meant something since 1993. It was the bike that rewrote the rules for naked motorcycles raw, purposeful, and instantly recognisable. For 2026, Ducati has reimagined it from the ground up: an all-new V2 engine, a significant reduction in kerb weight, and a level of electronics that would have seemed impossible on a naked bike just a few years ago.

And now, from April 2026, there&#039;s a third colour option that turns heads even before you pull in the clutch. The new Sport Livery has arrived.

Starting Over and Getting It Right

There was nothing wrong with the outgoing Monster. The 937cc Testastretta Evoluzione engine had served it well it was torquey, characterful, and gave the bike a presence that few rivals could match. But the world of engine technology had moved on, and Ducati had a new twin-cylinder unit that offered something better in nearly every measurable way.

The 2026 Monster V2 uses an all-new 890cc liquid-cooled V-twin. At first glance, the smaller displacement might raise an eyebrow but the numbers tell a different story. Power is up to 111hp at 9,000rpm. The engine weighs just 54.3kg, making it the lightest twin-cylinder Ducati has ever produced, and a full 5.9kg lighter than the unit it replaces. The complete motorcycle tips the scales at 175kg with an empty tank four kilograms less than its predecessor, and a figure that makes itself felt the moment you manoeuvre it out of the showroom.

But the headline specification that sets this engine apart from anything else in the naked bike class isn&#039;t the weight or the power figure. It&#039;s the IVT system Intake Variable Timing and it fundamentally changes the way this engine feels to ride.

Who Is the Monster For?

The Monster has always occupied an interesting space. It&#039;s not a beginner&#039;s bike 111hp and a featherweight chassis demand a degree of respect. But it&#039;s never been a track-focused machine either. It&#039;s the everyday companion; the bike you grab for a blast through the Cotswolds on a Tuesday evening, or the one that makes the morning commute feel like something worth getting out of bed for.

For 2026, that balance has been sharpened rather than shifted. The new electronics package means the Monster can be as approachable or as focused as the rider wants. The A2-compliant 35kW version also opens the door to less experienced riders looking to grow into the platform. And for those who want the Monster experience with a little extra wind protection and touring practicality, the Monster+ adds a front fairing and passenger seat cover without altering the fundamental character of the bike.

Three Things That Make the 2026 Monster Different

Intake Variable Timing (IVT)

Most engine manufacturers manage the trade-off between low-rev tractability and top-end power by compromise tuning for one at the expense of the other. Ducati&#039;s IVT system sidesteps the compromise entirely. By continuously varying the intake valve timing, the engine delivers more than 70% of its maximum torque at just 3,000rpm, while still producing 111hp at the top of the rev range. Between 4,000 and 10,000rpm, over 80% of peak torque is on tap at any moment.

In practice, this means a bike that pulls cleanly from low speeds in traffic, surges smoothly through the midrange, and still has real intent when you open it up on a clear road. It&#039;s an unusually wide and usable powerband for a performance naked.

175kg And You Can Feel It

Weight is one of those specifications that looks abstract on paper but communicates itself immediately when you&#039;re on the bike. At 175kg with an empty tank, the 2026 Monster is the lightest four-valve Monster Ducati has ever made. The aluminium monocoque frame with the engine itself acting as a stressed member keeps mass central and low. The technopolymer trellis-style subframe sheds further grams without compromising rigidity.

The result is a bike that turns in with real sharpness, settles instantly mid-corner, and never feels like it&#039;s fighting you. The Showa 43mm upside-down fork and preload-adjustable rear shock are well-sorted for UK roads firm enough to be responsive, compliant enough to not punish you for a poorly-surfaced B-road.

Electronics That Stay Out of the Way

The 2026 Monster comes equipped with Cornering ABS, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, and Engine Brake Control as standard. A 5-inch colour TFT display brings everything together, with four riding modes allowing the rider to adjust the character of the electronics suite to suit conditions and preference. Cruise Control is available as an option for those who cover longer distances.

None of this feels intrusive. These systems are calibrated to enhance rider confidence rather than blunt the riding experience. The quickshifter and updated slipper clutch complete a drivetrain package that&#039;s slick and satisfying in equal measure whether you&#039;re threading through traffic or working through a favourite set of bends.

Monster vs Monster+

Both versions share the same engine, chassis, electronics and suspension specification. The Monster+ adds a front fairing which noticeably reduces wind buffeting at motorway speeds and a passenger seat cover as standard equipment. If you regularly carry a pillion or cover longer distances, the Plus is worth the premium. If you want the cleanest possible silhouette and the purest naked bike experience, the standard Monster is the one.

The Sport Livery: A Nod to History

Ducati&#039;s colour palettes tend to be deliberate rather than decorative, and the new Sport Livery for the 2026 Monster is no exception. The grey base coat is clean and contemporary, but it&#039;s the Racing Red detailing across the wheels, flyscreen, seat, tail section and fuel tank that gives the bike its identity. It&#039;s a nod to the iconic Monster S4, Ducati&#039;s first four-valve Monster, and the bike that defined what the nameplate could be.

Available from April 2026, the Sport Livery is offered on both the standard Monster and the Monster+. At Ducati Oxford, we can advise on availability and lead times speak to the team on 01235 466089 or visit us in Abingdon to see it in person.

Ducati Diavel Range 20252026

A Motorcycle That Refuses to Be Categorised

There are fast motorcycles. There are beautiful motorcycles. And then there are bikes that stop traffic, not because theyre revving at the redline, but simply because they exist. The Ducati Diavel has always occupied that rare third category, and with the current range Ducati has pushed that idea further than ever before.

Whether youre drawn to the sharp, stripped-back thrill of the Diavel V4 RS, the award-winning all-round appeal of the Diavel V4, or the long-haul drama of the brand-new XDiavel V4, the Diavel family gives you something genuinely different. Weve broken down each model so you can understand what makes them tick, and what its like to ride one on British roads.

The name itself is Bolognese dialect for devil, and from the original 2011 machine through to todays V4-powered trio, that rebellious spirit has never left. What has changed is the engine. Where older Diavelts relied on an L-twin, the current generation adopts the V4 Granturismo, a four-cylinder unit whose roots trace directly back to the Desmosedici race engine that powers Ducatis MotoGP effort. On paper, thats extraordinary. On the road, its transformative.

The Benchmark

Diavel V4

Muscle Cruiser 168hp 1,158cc from 24,595

The Diavel V4 is where the family story begins. It won the Red Dot Award 2024 Best of the Best, the most prestigious design prize in the industry,in the Product Design category. A motorcycle that looks extraordinary standing still and feels even better in motion.

At its heart sits the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine producing 168hp, with a torque delivery thats smooth and usable right from low revs, perfectly suited to real-world riding on British A-roads.

One genuinely remarkable ownership detail: valve clearance services are required every 60,000km, roughly 37,000 miles. For many riders, thats potentially a decade between valve adjustments.

For 2025, the Black Roadster Livery gains a bold Racing Yellow stripe across tank, tail, and side panels, a nod to Ducatis racing heritage, developed by Centro Stile Ducati exclusively for the 2025 model year.

Diavel V4 RS

Track-Focused Muscle 182hp 1,103cc from 34,395

If the standard Diavel V4 represents the ideal balance of performance and daily usability, the Diavel V4 RS removes daily usability from the equation entirely, in the best possible way.

The RS uses the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale, Ducatis Desmodromic V4, closely related to the MotoGP engine, delivering 182hp, an additional 14hp over the standard V4, plus that unmistakable dry clutch chatter that announces exactly what kind of motorcycle youre riding.

The RS sheds 3kg over the standard Diavel V4 through carbon fibre air intakes, single-seat tail, fenders, and tank covers. Each RS also carries a numbered aluminium plate on the rear cylinder head, a genuine collectors piece.

MCN Best Cruiser 2025 All-New Model

XDiavel V4

Power Cruiser 168hp 1,158cc from 26,595

The XDiavel V4 is the newest arrival in the Diavel family, and arguably its most ambitious chapter yet. After the V-twin XDiavel quietly disappeared from the UK, Ducati returned with something completely rebuilt: forward-mounted footpegs, V4 performance, and a seat height of just 770mm.

Voted MCN Best Cruiser 2025, the XDiavel V4 shares only its engine and single-sided swingarm with the standard Diavel V4, everything else is new. A longer, lower cast aluminium monocoque frame stretches the stance for a proper muscle-cruiser silhouette, while a 6.9 TFT display raises the technology bar for the entire cruiser segment.

The fully adjustable 50mm upside-down fork and rear shock with separate reservoir offer 25mm more travel than the old V-twin XDiavel, a real-world improvement for two-up touring on British roads. Exclusive Burning Red and Black Lava colours complete a machine unlike anything else in the cruiser market.

Our Take: Why the Diavel Range Matters

Theres a question that always comes up when someone sees a Diavel for the first time: Is it a naked? A cruiser? A tourer? The honest answer is that it doesnt particularly care, and thats precisely what makes it so refreshing in a market where most motorcycles are designed by committee and aimed at everyone.

The V4 Granturismo engine is the foundation that ties the whole family together. Its genuinely exceptional: smooth at low speeds, explosive when you open it up, and impressively refined for daily use. The 60,000km valve service interval alone challenges most preconceptions about Ducati ownership costs.

The Diavel V4 is the pick for most riders, versatile, celebrated, and the model that captures the family spirit most completely. Perfect for winding A-roads and longer weekend runs.

The Diavel V4 RS is for a different kind of buyer, someone who wants the Diavel experience pushed to its outermost edge. The Desmosedici Stradale, dry clutch, Race mode, and carbon fibre panels make this one of the most characterful motorcycles on sale in Britain at any price.

And the XDiavel V4? If forward foot controls and a lower seat height matter to you, or if youre covering longer distances two-up, this is an outstanding option. MCN naming it Best Cruiser 2025 ahead of everything else on sale says everything you need to know.

    <title>2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/2026-ducati-multistrada-v4-rally</link>
    <description>
The Globetrotter Evolved 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally

We are incredibly excited to open the order book for the 2026 Model Year (MY26) Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally. Already the benchmark for long-distance adventure touring, the V4 Rally has been refined for 2026 with intelligent new technology, improved comfort, and a stunning new aesthetic option.

Arriving in the UK from early 2026, this is the machine for those who want to travel without limits.

The Headlines

New Tech: Now features Forward Collision Warning and an Automatic Lowering Device as standard.

New Look: Introducing the striking Jade Green livery with brushed aluminium tank and gold spoked wheels.

Refined V4: Extended cylinder deactivation now works while riding (not just at idle) for better fuel economy and less heat.

Safety: The new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm refines all electronic interventions for MotoGP-level precision.

        The Ultimate Touring Engine

The 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine continues to deliver 170 hp and 121 Nm of torque, but it is now more efficient.

Extended Deactivation: The rear cylinder bank now deactivates during light throttle cruising, not just when stopped. This significantly reduces heat transfer to the rider and improves fuel consumption on long motorway stints.

Service Intervals: It retains the class-leading maintenance schedule: 9,000 miles (or 2 years) for oil, and a massive 37,000 miles for valve clearance checks.

        Comfort &amp; Convenience

Designed for two-up travel, the MY26 Rally includes practical updates to make life easier:

Coming Home Lights: The headlights now stay on briefly after you switch off the ignitionperfect for opening the garage in the dark.

Standard Spec: Centre stand and Heated Grips are fitted as standard.

Range: The massive 30-litre aluminium fuel tank ensures you stop only when you want to.

        Intelligence &amp; Safety Upgrades

The 2026 update focuses on making the ride safer and more manageable, no matter the distance.

Automatic Lowering Device: A game-changer for a tall adventure bike. The system automatically lowers the suspension when speed drops below 6mph (10km/h), giving you a confident, flat-footed stance at traffic lights or junctions. It raises back up automatically as you accelerate.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Joining the existing Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), the front radar now warns you of potential collisions ahead, completing the safety suite.

Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO): This &quot;virtual sensor&quot; technology, derived from the Panigale V4, simulates inputs from 70 sensors to predict the bike&#039;s behaviour, making the ABS and Traction Control interventions smoother and more precise than ever.

Rear-to-Front Braking: A new braking strategy means applying the rear brake now gently activates the front brake to reduce pitch, keeping the bike stable and comfortable for your passenger.

    <title>The All-New Ducati Hypermotard V2</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/the-all-new-ducati-hypermotard-v2</link>
    <description>
The All-New Ducati Hypermotard V2: A Bold Rebirth of Hyper-Performance

Ducati has once again redefined the meaning of fun on two wheels with the introduction of the Hypermotard V2 and its more premium sibling, the Hypermotard V2 SP. Blending the raw, playful spirit of a supermoto with cutting-edge engineering and a refined, performance-focused package, these bikes mark a major leap forward in Ducatis hypermotard lineage.

        Engine and Performance
At the heart of both the Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP lies a 90 V-twin engine, displacing 890 cc. This compact V2 is liquid-cooled, with four valves per cylinder and a variable valve timing system, delivering an outstanding 120.4 hp (88.5 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm.
The powertrain is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 system for smooth, lightning-fast up and down shifts;a feature that enhances the agile, aggressive character of the bike. The clutch is a hydraulically controlled slipper self-servo setup, which gives riders more confidence under hard downshifts and helps make the V2 feel more manageable at the limit.
Whats more, Ducati caters to a broader audience: theres a 35 kW reduced-power version for A2-licensed riders, rated at 43.5 hp and 5 kgm of torque, making the new V2 accessible without sacrificing the core Hyper experience.

        Chassis, Weight &amp; Handling
One of the most striking improvements in the Hypermotard V2 is its lightweight design. Ducati reports a wet weight (no fuel) of just 180 kg for the standard V2,thats about 13 kg lighter than the preceding Hyper 950. The SP version goes even further, shedding more weight to reach 177 kg, thanks to higher-spec parts.
This weight reduction stems from a redesigned structure: the V2 uses an aluminium monocoque frame instead of a steel trellis, which not only cuts mass but gives the bike a more compact, stiff, and responsive chassis. The swingarm is also mounted directly to the engine for added rigidity.
Both versions offer a flat, nimble riding feel, and that reduced mass helps make the V2 extremely agile, ideal for tight urban riding, aggressive cornering, or whipping into the air for the occasional wheelie.

        Brakes &amp; Wheels
Braking performance is no slouch either. The standard V2 comes with Brembo M4.32 monobloc four-piston calipers clamping twin 320 mm semi-floating discs at the front, plus a 245 mm rear disc, combined with Cornering ABS for stability and safety.
On the SP, the brake setup is even more premium, featuring Brembo M50 calipers, which provide stronger feel and more precise control, ideal for spirited riding and aggressive use.
Wheelset differences also underscore the performance gap:
 Standard V2 runs cast light-alloy 3.5 17 front and 5.5 17 rear wheels.
V2 SP features forged aluminium wheels, saving unsprung weight and enhancing handling responsiveness.
Tyres on both are Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV series: the standard uses Diablo Rosso IV, while SP opts for the sportier Diablo Rosso IV Corsa.

        Dimensions &amp; Ergonomics
In keeping with its supermoto heritage, the Hypermotard V2 has an upright riding position, wide bars, and narrow bodywork. This layout gives the rider excellent leverage over the bike and contributes to its playful, manoeuvrable character. According to Ducati, the ergonomics have been thoroughly revised to reduce rider fatigue while boosting control.
Seat height is 880 mm on the standard model. For those wanting a lower reach, Ducati offers a low-seat accessory (865 mm) and a low-seat + low-suspension kit (850 mm).
The wheelbase is quoted at 1,514 mm, lending a compact footprint that aids in agility without compromising stability.
Steering geometry is also optimised: a rake of 26 and a trail of 110 mm provide a good balance between quick turn-in and straight-line composure.

        Electronics &amp; Rider Aids

Ducati has packed the Hypermotard V2 with a modern, race-informed electronics suite.
Key systems include:

A 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) governing lean-sensitive rider aids.
Four riding modes: likely Race, Sport, Road, Wet, which adjust power delivery, traction control, engine braking, and ABS intervention.
Cornering ABS for more confident braking in lean.
Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Wheelie Control (DWC) to help manage the V2s strong torque.
Engine Brake Control (EBC): lets the rider fine-tune how aggressively the engine slows the bike when off throttle.
The 5-inch full-colour TFT dashboard offers a clean, modern interface with 16:9 aspect ratio,it supports multiple layouts and is ready for the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) and turn-by-turn navigation.
Full-LED lighting: both headlight and turn indicators are LED, with dynamic turn signals enhancing visibility and style.
A lithium battery helps reduce weight, especially in the SP version.

        Maintenance &amp; Durability
The Hypermotard V2 is not just thrilling, its also sensible when it comes to maintenance. Ducati confirms a valve clearance check interval of 45,000 km, which is very competitive for a high-performance twin. Oil changes are scheduled every two years or 15,000 km.
These longer service intervals help reduce ownership costs and downtime, making the V2 a viable choice not only for weekend thrill-seekers but also for spirited daily riders.

        Fuel Efficiency &amp; Tank
According to Ducati and third-party sources, the fuel tank capacity is around 12.5 litres, which isnt massive, but in line with its supermoto-inspired design and intended use. Reported consumption is approximately 5.4 L/100 km, giving a practical range for city and canyon runs.

        Design &amp; Styling
Visually, the Hypermotard V2 retains the rebellious, minimalist lines that define the Hypermotard DNA. Sharp, aggressive styling cues, like the pointed beak front section, slim tank, and under seat exhausts, combine to create a posture thats instantly recognisable and unapologetically Ducati. The underseat 2-into-2 exhaust system adds to the bikes sculpted appearance, while also balancing performance and aesthetics. The SP version gets premium touches like a carbon fibre front mudguard, lighter wheels, and high-end hlins suspension, all of which elevate both form and function. Ducatis choice of electronics and the modern TFT display integrate seamlessly into the design, giving the bike a high-tech, purposeful look without sacrificing its raw, unfiltered character.

        Rider Experience
The Hypermotard V2 is clearly designed for riders who want pure, unrestrained fun without compromising on premium performance or technology:
Enthusiasts who love quick-revving V-twins and playful, flickable bikes will feel right at home.
Commuters:thanks to its nimble chassis, upright ergonomics, and relatively light weight, will enjoy zipping through city traffic with confidence.
Track and canyon riders will appreciate the SPs higher-spec suspension and aggressive capabilities.
Experienced motorcyclists who want a premium, well-rounded machine but dont necessarily need a litre-class superbike will find the V2s balance very compelling.
The intuitive electronics, refined ergonomics, and engine character make it equally suited to dynamic weekend rides and daily-use adventures.

    <title>Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/panigale-v4-tricolore-italia</link>
    <description>
The Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia inspires a work of art by Italian artist Andrea Crespi

Ducati marks a new stage in its dialogue with the world of art, a journey that stems from a passion for beauty and translates into projects capable of combining design and Made in Italy excellence
The Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia inspires a work of art by Andrea Crespi, one of the emerging Italian artistic voices of the new generation, capable of blending aesthetics and speed in a unique form of expression
Crespi&#039;s work will become part of the Borgo Panigale corporate collection, supported by the Fondazione Ducati, and will be the protagonist of a temporary exhibition at the DucatiMuseum

A project born from a shared vision: for Ducati, the love of beauty has always been an integral part of its DNA, a value that takes shape in motorcycles capable of combining technology and beauty and which naturally marries with the universal language of art. It is in this meeting space that the collaboration with Crespi takes shape, capable of translating the essence of the motorcycle into a visual work of significant impact.

His creation is inspired by the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia, a limited edition and numbered collector&#039;s motorcycle of just 163 units presented last March at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. A model that celebrates the Azzurro of the National sports teams, the same colour with which Ducati took first and second place at the Mugello Grand Prix in 2024.

Made on canvas in 1:1 scale, the work stands out for a sophisticated interweaving of blue lines, an evocative colour that recalls the original livery of the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia. The fluid and never intersecting trajectories create an optical illusion of movement and depth, projecting the perception of speed into a new and engaging artistic dimension.

From this work comes a limited series of 163 lithographs, reserved for enthusiasts who have chosen the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia. Each lithograph, numbered and signed by Crespi, bears the same number as the model of the motorcycle to which it is combined, to underline itsuniqueness and exclusivity.

<title>Ducati Track Day at Donington Park</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/ducati-track-day-at-donington-park</link>
    <description>
At the beginning of this month, our Sales Executive Ethan had the opportunity to take part in the Ducati Track Day at the legendary Donington Park, an event designed to thrill, challenge, and bring together Ducatisti from across the country. With track sessions available for all skill levels and expert instruction on offer, these Ducati-exclusive days are a must for any enthusiast. This year also saw the availability tohiresome of Ducatis most desirable bikes, including the Panigale V4, V2, Streetfighter V4 and V2, adding even more buzz to an already electric atmosphere.

        Ethan shares his experience below.

&quot;I was initially surprised by the amount of people; we got there relatively early and the car park was already full of vans unloading bikes into the garages. It was easily visable due to the Ducati flags and archesby all the garages. Next thing I noticed was the bikes, Superlegerra V4s, Panigale V4Rs. Some special bikes being used on track was exciting to see.&quot;

As well as the chance to bring your own Ducati to the circuit, riders could also hirea model from Ducatis latest lineup. This included half-daysessions for the Panigale and Streetfighter ranges, with instruction included as part of the experience.

You even had the chance to upgrade your instruction to the current Ducati MOTOGP test rider Michele Pirro, which was really cool seeing him on track and in the paddock. I didnt opt for it as I have done plenty of track riding and racing. However, I did speak to plenty of people who did do the instruction and they said it was amazing, mainly to get the lines correct. Everyone that came off the rental bikes said that it was an awesome experience. The slots had sold out well in advance of the day.

While the thrill of the track was undoubtedly a highlight, it was the atmosphere in the paddock that made a lasting impression on Ethan.

To be honest, apart from riding on track with some awesome machines, it was really nice to chat to like-minded enthusiasts in the garages. The Ducati UK team came into all the garages to talk to people. There was a really nice community feeling throughout the whole day as everyone was passionate about every bike that was there and it was really nice chatting to everyone.

So would Ethan reccomend a Ducati Track Day?

Definitely! Its a nicer set-up than a usual track day. You get fed breakfast and lunch included in the price, you get garage space so you can keep your tyre warmers on, and the team did a really good job of catering to every level of rider. The amount of special/unique Ducatis there was breathtaking, all the way from the old 888s to the new Panigales and everything in between. I would recommend it to any Ducatisti to do it at least once, I will definitely be doing the next one this year.

So whether you&#039;re new to the track or a seasoned rider, the Ducati Track Day experience offers something truly special. With expert support, an incredible range of bikes, and the chance to ride one of the UKs finest circuits in the company of fellow enthusiasts, its a day that celebrates everything great about Ducati.

Booking will open soon for the next Track day at Donington Park, taking place on9th September 2025. Keep your eyes peeled on the Ducati UK website for updates.

Designed around the new Ducati V2 engine and with an aluminium monocoque frame, weighing 18 kg less than the previous model

The 4EVER Ducati and Roadside Assistance packages allow you to travel with complete peace of mind, thanks to a 4-year warranty and an assistance network available here at Blade Motorcycles

With the eighth episode of the DWP 2025 (see video below), Ducati presentedat Intermot, the Cologne motorcycle trade show, the new Multistrada V2, the mid-size crossover designed for lovers of the twin-cylinder engine, with significantly improved lightness, handling and ease of riding. The new Multistrada V2 maintains the 19-inch front wheel to remain safe and fun even on the roughest asphalt but has been completely redesigned around the new twin-cylinder V2 engine, becoming even more accessible and at the same time fun to ride.
Thanks to a project inspired by the search for maximum lightness and focused on the monocoque frame and the new Ducati V2 engine, the new Multistrada V2 weighs a full 18 kg less than the previous model . Its 199 kg in running order without fuel represent the lowest value in the category, benefitting handling and manoeuvres from a standstill and at low speed, even when fully loaded. Its lightness, combined with the wide and full-bodied delivery of the variable-valve twin-cylinder, a benchmark electronics package and a careful ergonomic and aerodynamic development, means that the riding pleasure, fuel consumption, performance and handling of the new Multistrada V2 transform every trip into an unforgettable journey.

        Design

The design of the new V2 draws inspiration from the stylistic concepts that have made the history of the Multistrada family: horizontally balanced volumes, with a light and short tail, and a front area characterised by sporty lines, emphasised by the side panels that load the front end. The shoulder surfaces, the front masses and the beak historically distinctive characteristics of the Multistrada have been made more harmonious.

Like all Ducatis, the Multistrada V2 also combines design and functionality. The Centro Stile Ducati defined its lines in close collaboration with R&amp;D technicians, to integrate aerodynamic solutions into the design studied to improve thermal comfort and protection from the elements.

The windshield, highly protective and adjustable in height, was defined through careful aerodynamic research that also involved the deflectors, perfectly integrated into the front line.

For thermal comfort, as on the Multistrada V4, upwash lateral air conveyors have been introduced, integrated into the design of the bike that help direct fresh air to the riders legs.

The new headlights and DRL inspired by the latest-generation Panigale and Multistrada V4 help to define a compact and aggressive front view, immediately recognizable. The shorter beak is well integrated into the windshield and creates a more harmonious image. The direction indicators, thin and harmonized in the design of the side panels, have been completely redesigned and repositioned to offer optimal visibility and create a gap between them and the fairing that allows the passage of fresh air towards the rider.

The tail is very slim and light, thanks to a shorter rear grab handle, completely redesigned to guarantee functionality and ergonomics.

The ergonomics of the Multistrada V2 have been completely revised with great attention paid to comfort. The rider and passenger seats have been redesigned, and passenger roominess has been improved compared to the previous model in terms of legroom and torso space, thanks to rearward top box and side case attachments.

To allow the rider to rest their feet on the ground safely, the new Multistrada V2 has been equipped with a seat that can be adjusted to two positions, with heights of 850 and 830 mm. Furthermore, the Ducati Performance catalogue offers as an accessory a seat raised to 870 mm, and one lowered to 810. On the S version, thanks to the semi-active DSS (Ducati Skyhook Suspension) and the Minimum Preload system, it is possible to lower the seat to 790 mm.

        Ergonomics and Comfort

        New Ducati V2 Engine

The new Multistrada V2 is equipped with the new Ducati V2 engine, a 90 V-twin, 890 cc, with IVT variable intake valve timing and distribution with coil spring valve recall. This new engine, extremely compact and lightweight weighing only 54.9 kg makes an important contribution to the reduction of the bike&#039;s weight. In this configuration it delivers 115 hp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm.

Thanks to the variable valve timing, the V2 engine optimises performance, delivery and consumption. The power at high revs is combined with a sustained torque delivery at low and medium revs: more than 70% of the maximum torque is already available at 3,500 rpm, and between 3,500 and 11,000 rpm the value never drops below 75%. This is combined with a more regular combustion at low revs, which provides a very fluid delivery at small throttle openings , and the larger flywheel, which improves riding pleasure especially in touring or traffic thanks to a smoother throttle opening response.

Finally, the gear ratios have been specifically designed for the Multistrada, with a shorter first and second gear to improve usability at low speeds and full load acceleration. The gearbox is equipped with the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, which offers a more precise pedal feel and faster gear changes.

To improve comfort and riding pleasure on any route, the new Multistrada V2 is equipped with a completely redesigned frame, rear subframe and swingarm, which embrace the same construction philosophy as the Multistrada V4. The frame is an aluminium monocoque that uses the engine as a stressed element, the rear subframe is a steel trellis and the swingarm is cast in aluminium. All this, combined with the new V2 engine, allows the Multistrada to arrive at an extremely low weight: only 199 kg, in running order without fuel, for the V2 version, and 202 kg for the V2 S version equipped with semi-active suspension.

Thanks to a complete redesign and the solution of the monocoque frame, Ducati engineers have managed to create a slim bike, with a very narrow fit that allows you to put your feet on the ground more easily. Furthermore, the contact area of the knees and inner thighs with the surfaces of the bike has been improved, increasing riding pleasure and the sense of control at high speeds. Thanks to the new ergonomics, the new Multistrada V2 requires less handlebar effort to lean and guarantees more neutral behaviour when entering and going through curves.

The Multistrada V2 is equipped with a Marzocchi fork with 45 mm tubes and a Marzocchi shock absorber with progressive link, both fully adjustable. The Multistrada V2 S boasts semi-active suspension with Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic control, further improving comfort, safety and performance thanks to new electronic strategies that limit diving during braking (anti-dive) and the tendency to sit during acceleration (anti-squat), ensuring optimal riding precision.

In addition, the Minimum Preload function allows the rear suspension to be lowered to a minimum with the simple press of a button, facilitating contact of the feet on the ground especially when fully loaded and with a passenger. As on the new Multistrada V4, the Suspension Modes can be selected independently of the Riding Modes, to choose the preferred suspension calibration while maintaining the electronic control parameters and engine response unchanged.

Both versions of the Multistrada V2 are equipped with a 19 front wheel combined with a 17 rear wheel, with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres, and 170 mm of suspension travel, to offer versatility and riding feel. The Brembo braking system features a double 320 mm front disc and a single 265 mm disc, with benchmark performance in every situation.

        Completely Redesigned Chassis

        Benchmark Electronics Pack

The new Multistrada V2 boasts a complete electronics package, manageable via redesigned handlebar controls and the new 5 TFT colour dashboard, with a completely revamped multilingual interface based on three different Infomodes.

The five available Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and Wet) offer the possibility of adapting the Multistrada V2 to any situation, setting the engine power and response to pre-configured and modifiable values, thanks to the four Power Modes with which the engine is equipped. The Riding Modes, of course, set the cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) to pre-defined levels, which can be modified by the rider.

The three Infomodes (Road, Road Pro and Rally) allow you to make the most of the dashboard&#039;s capabilities, changing the information displayed to offer the rider the best riding experience in every situation: Road Pro, for example, provides the percentage of power and torque used in real time.

Finally, the Ducati Multistrada V2 is equipped as standard with Cruise Control, a USB socket integrated into the dashboard, the Ducati Brake Light EVO (which manages emergency flashing in sudden braking) and, in the case of the V2 S, the Ducati Multimedia System, with the possibility of activating the Turn-by-turn navigator accessory. Furthermore, the new Coming Home function keeps the low beams active when the ignition is turned off, to illuminate the area in front of the bike and make home entry easier.

        Safe everywhere

Like all Multistradas, the new V2 is also designed to allow Ducatisti to travel with maximum peace of mind thanks to benchmark maintenance intervals (valve clearance check set every 30,000 km) and the 4EVER Ducati and Roadside Assistance programs. The first offers a warranty valid for 4 years with unlimited mileage*. The Roadside Assistance* program adds roadside assistance, transportation for the rider and passenger, a replacement vehicle and overnight stays in a four-star hotel in the event of problems that may arise during the period of coverage. All this with the peace of mind offered by a network of over 800 official Ducati dealers in over 90 countries around the world.

Accessories and availability

A wide range of accessories allows you to customise your Multistrada V2 according to the most diverse needs. Plastic cases with a capacity of 60 litres, or aluminium ones with a capacity of 76 litres, are mounted on the bike with floating attachments to improve stability and therefore safety. Steel protections help limit damage in the event of a slide and the centre stand makes maintenance and loading operations on the bike easier.

Adventure lovers can fit spoked wheels, which make the Multistrada V2 more versatile, allowing it to continue the journey when the asphalt ends. Finally, those who want to enhance their Multistrada V2 by changing the exhaust sound, can choose from the various solutions offered by Termignoni.

The new Multistrada V2 will be available in the standard version, and V2 S, featuring DSS semi-active suspension. The first is offered in the Ducati Red colour, while for the second you can choose between Storm Green and Ducati Red, with the additional possibility of opting for the Travel trim, complete with plastic side cases, centre stand and heated grips. The new Ducati Multistrada V2 will arrive in dealerships in January 2025, also in a 35 kW version for motorcyclists with an A2 license.

<title>Scrambler Ducati 10° Anniversario Rizoma Edition: Ducati celebrates 10 years of Ducati Scrambler</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/scrambler-ducati-10anniversario-rizoma-editionducati-celebrates-10-years-of-ducati-scrambler</link>

A limited-edition bike in 500 numbered units, designed in collaboration with Rizoma, to celebrate 10 years of the new Ducati Scrambler

A collectors Ducati Scrambler, on which every detail contributes to creating an unmistakable bike, enhanced by Metal Rose components

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 17 October 2024 With a new episode of the 2025 Ducati World Premire, Ducati unveils a Scrambler that celebrates the tenth anniversary of the birth of the post-heritage bike from the Bologna-based company, and the deep bond almost a symbiosis that forms between each Scrambler and his owner. A Scrambler created in collaboration with long-standing partner Rizoma which for the first time, on this occasion, has directly contributed to the shaping of a production model.

The Scrambler Ducati 10 Anniversario Rizoma Edition is a true Ducati collector&#039;s item, a limited series and numbered in 500 units, which pushes the modern, stylistic and inclusive vision of the Land of Joy even further. Elegant and sophisticated in its colouring enhanced by details in Metal Rose, this Ducati Scrambler rejects labels and classifications, like a true work of art that anticipates the trends and lines of the future, becoming an extension of his rider in which style, innovation and individuality move in perfect harmony.

Every single detail studied by Rizoma for this Ducati Scrambler, starting from the Metal Rose finishing, is part of an overall vision in which the strength and importance of the accessories and individual chromatic details complete and amplify the appearance of the bike and the connection with his rider, making up a final design of great impact. The concept of self-expression, which has always been a founding value of Ducati Scrambler, takes on a different meaning in the case of this Rizoma Edition, becoming an element that completes, communicates and enhances the lifestyle of its owner.

The livery, defined by Rizoma in collaboration with the Centre Stile Ducati, is based on the chromatic balance of Stone White, black and Metal Rose. The tank, the engine, the chassis components and details such as the bar-end mirrors or the exhaust system express elegance thanks to the colour black, which becomes a base, almost a background to highlight the details in Metal Rose covers, footrests, windshield and create a contrast with the Stone White of the tank cover and the sporty mudguard.

The Scrambler Ducati 10 Anniversario Rizoma Edition thus becomes a true sculpture whose three-dimensionality is enhanced by new and refined colour combinations, creating a new milestone in the Scrambler journey into the world of art and design.

Andrea Ferraresi, Director of Strategy and Centro Stile Ducati commented: Rizoma has succeeded in the difficult task of reinterpreting Scrambler while maintaining its essence unchanged. I was struck by the formal rigor, the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the treatment, including the colour, that Rizoma has incorporated in the concept that then became this celebratory version of the tenth anniversary of Scrambler.

Fabrizio Rigolio, known as the &quot;aluminium tailor&quot;, is the Creative Director and founder of Rizoma. With his sartorial approach, inspired by fashion, he has introduced a new language to the world of motorcycles, where style and technology blend together in a unique experience. The Scrambler Ducati 10 Anniversario Rizoma Edition project embodies this vision, elevating the bike to a work of art that reflects the soul of the person who rides it. &quot;This Scrambler is different from the others. It is dedicated to the 500 who dare, who see beyond, who want to leave an indelible mark.&quot;

Ducati Scrambler Next-Gen
The second-generation Ducati Scrambler, born in 2023, is a motorcycle capable of combining a contemporary and innovative Modern Classic look with technical content that sets the standards for the category. Essential, fun, and light, with a great personality, it is the perfect choice for those who want a motorcycle with a unique and recognisable style, dynamic, accessible and safe for everyday use. A motorcycle designed for those seeking freedom and wanting to share their style and way of being with others.

The classic Ducati Scrambler styling cues headlights, tank, shape of the instrumentation remain fixed points, refined in style and with more up-to-date technical content, such as the 4.3 TFT dashboard. And the 73 horsepower Desmodue twin-cylinder engine, enhanced by the new clutch and alternator covers, the belt covers and the exhaust that leaves the engine completely exposed, is lighter and equipped with Ride-by-wire, quickshifter and Riding Modes, to increase riding pleasure and safety at the same time.

The Scrambler Ducati 10 Anniversario Rizoma Edition will arrive starting from March 2025.

<title>Ducati Scrambler, even more customisable with the new accessories line</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/ducati-scrambler-even-more-customisable-with-the-new-accessories-line</link>
    <description>

A complete range to bring each Ducati Scrambler closer to the mood of the person who rides it

Personality, style and attention to detail characterise every accessory in the catalogue

Ever since it was first presented in 2015, Ducati Scrambler has interpreted the most authentic expression of motorcycling, characterised by a free, positive and non-conformist spirit, and open to a meeting of styles and infinite customisations. A bike that has attracted over 100,000 new enthusiasts all over the world, with a timeless design and technical features that make it a modern motorbike in its own right.

Completely redesigned, the Ducati Scrambler introduces technological elements to its segment that make it safer, such as ABS Cornering and Ducati Traction Control, managed through Riding Mode. And being lighter (-4 kg compared to the previous model) it is even more accessible, easy and fun.

However, the Ducati Scrambler remains a bike created from birth to be customised, and thus adapt to all needs and tastes. In addition to the exclusive possibility of choosing 9 different colours through a customisation kit that totally changes the look of the bike, there is also a wide range of original accessories designed to match the aesthetics to the taste of each rider. Everyone will be able to create the Ducati Scrambler of their dreams without compromising reliability and performance, and still enjoy the official Ducati warranty.

Termignoni street-legal silencer
For those who love the ease of riding the Ducati Scrambler and want to liven up the sound of their twin-cylinder, without affecting its smooth and full-bodied delivery, the Ducati accessories catalogue offers a Termignoni silencer made with a black painted sleeve and carbon fibre end cap. A matching band between the cap and sleeve continues with the standard colour of the bike and completes the sporty look of this silencer approved for road circulation but clearly inspired by Ducatis racing DNA.

Spoked wheels
The latest generation Ducati Scrambler was born with aluminium alloy wheels, light in design and combined in black with the main elements of the chassis which enhance the contemporary character of the motorbike. As an alternative, it is possible to equip the motorbike with a pair of spoked wheel rims, suitable for those who appreciate and want to accentuate the more classic and stylish side of the Ducati Scrambler. The dimensions of the rims are identical to the standard ones and the matching tyres remain tubeless. The rim channel is painted black to maintain the chromatic link to the other elements of the chassis, while the spoke finish can be black or polished steel.

Ducati Quick Shift
The fun of riding and comfort in city use of the Scrambler increases by fitting the Ducati Quick Shift, supplied as standard on the Full Throttle. Derived from Ducati sports bikes, the system allows you to shift up and down the gears without using the clutch and without closing the throttle, increasing the speed of acceleration and deceleration.

Turn-by-turn navigation software
The integrated navigator is based on the Ducati Multimedia System, which uses the motorbike&#039;s TFT instrumentation to display the directions of the route calculated by the Ducati Link App. In this way you can take advantage of the navigation functions without having an external device. It is an official Ducati Performance accessory and can be purchased at Ducati Stores together with the motorcycle or even later, thus allowing it to be used even by those who already own a Scrambler.

Ducati aluminium kit by Rizoma
The Ducati Scrambler was created to express the personality of the person who rides it, and further emphasise its character according to details and personal taste. Thanks to collaboration with Rizoma it is possible to enrich each Scrambler with elements in fine aluminium machined from solid and expertly modelled by CNC machining. Lightness and dimensional precision characterise this line of accessories which includes fuel cap, handlebar counterweights, handlebar levers and footrests.

The tank cap is characterised by having a resistant anodised finish available in two colours: one variant has both the flange and the cap anodised in black, while the second has the flange in aluminium colour and a black cap. In both cases the refined workmanship is highlighted by details with visible finishing and by Ducati and Rizoma logos on the cap. Of outstanding quality is the special dedicated key, also machined from solid and branded Ducati: an object so refined that it can also be used as a key ring.

The Ducati by Rizoma handlebar levers are not only extremely pleasing to the eye, but also equip the Ducati Scrambler with useful and sophisticated features, such as the ability to adjust the distance from the grips and reduce potential damage in the event of a fall, because they are equipped with a safety joint, both in the case of the brake lever and the clutch lever. The use of billet aluminium and exclusive 3D processing allow the weight of these elements to be kept down despite their greater construction complexity and also to improve aerodynamic resistance. An air intake located at the end of both levers, in fact, optimises air flows while the Ducati logo engraved on the front part, in contact with the rider&#039;s fingers, improves grip and the sporty feeling while riding.

The handlebar counterweights machined from solid aluminium are available in two colours: full black, or in a sportier combination, black with Ducati red details. In both cases a Ducati by Rizoma logo emphasises the exclusive design. Furthermore, as a functional element, the handlebar counterweights reduce both vibrations to the handlebars and the risk of damage to them in the event of a fall.

The oil filler cap made from billet aluminium adds a sporty touch to the Scrambler twin-cylinder. The precise CNC processing with which it is made makes it precious and gratifying to the eye, while high quality anodising, available in two colour variants black or red, keeps the look unchanged over time.

The pair of footrests created in collaboration with Rizoma are the perfect aesthetic completion of the refined and advanced look of the Scrambler. They require a dedicated adapter and compared to the standard component they offer greater grip and riding feeling, enriching the total black look with visible machined details in the area of the engine. Also in this case Ducati and Rizoma logos are inevitable.

Lightness and functionality are the main qualities of all Ducati accessories designed for the Scrambler, which has built its legend on agility, ease of riding and a cool image. This is why elements such as the rear-view mirrors machined from solid aluminium are not only decidedly beautiful to look at, but also extremely light and rigorously approved for road circulation.

Ducati has characterised the modern and unique line of the Scrambler with unmistakable details. Yet, the desire to take up the challenge and give vent to creativity is evident in the new high license plate holder. Complete with LED license plate light, this accessory makes the rear view of the Scrambler bolder, giving the bike a sportier look thanks to the highlighted rear tyre and the more streamlined line of the rear.

To accentuate the adventurous side of the Scrambler, Ducati offers a light and robust aluminium under-pan protective plate as an accessory. Its shape follows that of the lower part of the engine, effectively protecting the filter area and oil circuits from any debris or impacts.

One of the most recognisable elements of the Ducati Scrambler is the headlight with DRL. A precious detail that can make the front view of the motorbike even more unique are the LED turn indicators available in pairs and which can also be used to replace the standard rear elements. The support of these indicators is made of billet aluminium with high quality black anodisation. The high-intensity monoLED guarantees instant reactivity when switched on and excellent visibility in all light conditions, with obvious advantages in terms of active safety while riding.

<title>Ducati Multistrada V4 RS, when Superbike meets touring</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/ducati-multistrada-v4-rs-when-superbike-meets-touring</link>
    <description>
In the fourth episode of the Ducati World Premire 2024 web series Ducati presents the new V4 RS, the sportiest, most sophisticated and exclusive Multistrada ever created by the Bologna based manufacturer. Produced in a numbered series, the Multistrada V4 RS is the latest addition to the family which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year and is equipped with the Desmosedici Stradale engine, derived from that of the Panigale V4.

Thanks to the V4 equipped with desmodromic distribution, the Multistrada V4 RS offers unique performance and riding sensations, maintaining the balance that has always distinguished the family. The experience is made memorable by the unmistakable sound of the Desmosedici Stradale with dry clutch and Akrapovi silencer, and by the spirited and exciting power delivery. Sensations also guaranteed by the chassis of the sportiest Multistrada in the family, thanks to hlins suspension, single-sided aluminium swingarm and forged rims.

The most demanding motorcyclists will appreciate the technical and stylistic details that make it a unique motorcycle in personality and substance. The RS logo, which becomes a real characterising element of the model, was designed by the Centro Stile and is shown in the livery, on the key and in the dashboard graphics. The slim and streamlined tail, designed exclusively for this bike, helps to make it even sportier.

The Multistrada V4 RS is a model in which every component, every detail - from the electronic package equipped with radar technology to the very light titanium rear frame - was chosen with a single objective: to create the sportiest touring motorcycle ever. The most exciting Multistrada ever created by Ducati.

Sporty style
The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS combines the unmistakable Multistrada line, elegant and dynamic, with technical solutions that recall the technologies used in racing, typical of Borgo Panigale&#039;s super sports bikes. The name RS has exactly this meaning, recalling another motorcycle in Ducati history - the Monster S4 RS - born according to the same inspiring principles.

Superbike engine
The Multistrada V4 RS is the only one in the family to adopt the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. To combine the smoothness and regularity typical of the Multistrada with the personality and sporty characteristics of the Panigale and the Streetfighter, Ducati has intervened on the V4 obtaining a fluid and regular power delivery curve at low revs and at the same time, thanks to desmodromic distribution, exciting near the limiter. A personality that is also expressed thanks to the exhaust tone, which is deep at low levels and exhilarating like on Superbikes during acceleration at high rpm.

Finally, as on the Panigale V4 SP2 and Streetfighter V4 SP2, the Multistrada V4 RS also features a STM-EVO SBK dry clutch made from billet aluminium, with a specific configuration of springs and slipper ramps. This component, which smooths out riding during braking and engagement phases, also contributes to enriching the exhaust sound with its typical metallic timbre when the clutch is disengaged.

Electronics
The Multistrada V4 RS is equipped with the advanced and sophisticated electronic package of the Multistrada V4 S, which includes, among other features, standard radar technology on both the front and rear, which enables the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) functionality and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

The electronic equipment of the Multistrada V4 RS is made up of 4 Power Modes (Full, High, Medium, Low), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up&amp;Down.
All these systems have been calibrated for the characteristics and intended use of the model and integrated into four Riding Modes, namely Race, Sport, Touring, Urban.

On the V4 RS, the Full Power Mode is introduced for the first time in the Multistrada family; this delivers maximum power in all gears, with a prompt response from the throttle. The other Power Modes have been calibrated for use on the Multistrada V4. In particular:

High (associated by default with Sport Riding Mode) offers maximum power in 4th, 5th and 6th gear with a slight reduction in torque in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with prompt throttle response.

Medium (associated by default with Touring Riding Mode) also offers maximum power in 4th, 5th and 6th gear, with a slight reduction in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but with a sweeter throttle response.

Low (default in Urban Riding Mode) with power reduced to 84 kW (114 hp) and a smooth throttle response.

The Multistrada V4 RS is also equipped with EBC (Engine Brake Control) adjustable on three levels, which allows the rider to customize the engine braking depending on riding style and context.

Chassis and ergonomics
The chassis of the Multistrada V4 RS is developed around the 17&quot; front wheel, which ensures great precision and reactivity in sporty riding. This choice led to the choice of a monocoque aluminium frame different from the Multistrada V4 S and Rally to obtain a different inclination of the steering head (25.75 compared to 24.5) defining the trail and wheelbase values in function of the greater sportiness of the bike, similar to what has already been done on the V4 Pikes Peak.

Accessories
The Ducati Performance catalogue offers various accessories to enhance the characteristics of the motorbike and make it unique from an aesthetic point of view. Motorcyclists who want to increase the versatility of the Multistrada V4 RS will find various luggage options, from plastic or aluminium side cases to tank and passenger seat bags and various oversized windshields.

Colours and availability
The motorcycle will be available in dealerships in the Ducati network starting from January 2024 in a single version, which includes front and rear radar as standard in the Iceberg White livery.

As on all models of the Multistrada family, on the Multistrada V4 RS Ducati also offers the exclusive &quot;4Ever Multistrada&quot; warranty, valid for 4 years with unlimited mileage, guaranteed by the entire network of dealers of the Bologna-based company on European territory.

Ducati celebrates 20 years of the Multistrada

Ducati have been at the forefront of technological innovation over the past twenty years when it comes to the Multistrada. Over this time, there have been 4 generations of evolution which has combined everything that a rider could need for adventure, on whichever road you decide to take.

Ducati have packed a lot of history into the Multistrada name over the past twenty years. First presented to the world in 2003, the Multistrada 1000 DS was the first iteration that combined both versatility and sportiness, designed for those who wanted the ultimate all-rounder. From there, Ducati went from strength to strength, continuing to evolve the model through four generations, while introducing technological advancements that have redefined the standards of the motorcycle industry.

And the innovation doesnt stop there. As part of the 2024 Ducati World Premiere, the manufacturer has just announced the launch of the next model to continue its Multistrada legacy: the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour.

To celebrate this milestone anniversary, Ducati have set up a temporary exhibition entitled &quot;Multistrada 20th - Twenty Years of Evolutionary Exploration&quot; inside its Museum in Bologna. There will be a short documentary that exemplifies the history of the Multistrada through images and testimonies.

<title>Turn by Turn navigation system arrives on the DesertX</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/turn-by-turn-navigation-system-arrives-on-the-desertx</link>
    <description>
The DesertX 2023, available in Matt Star White Silk and &quot;RR22&quot; liveries, is the first in the Ducati range to offer integrated Turn by Turn navigation
The navigation system, a Ducati Performance accessory, appears on the DesertX&#039;s TFT display through the Ducati Multimedia System and can be activated either when the bike is purchased or afterwards
The Turn by Turn navigator is also available for the Diavel V4 and will soon arrive on other models in the Ducati range

Exploration, fun and performance. And a great desire to pick up and go. The identity of the DesertX leaves no doubt: it is the first modern Ducati with a 21&quot; front wheel and has been designed to tackle even the most demanding off-road conditions. Presented in Matt Star Silk colouring, to whichthe new &quot;RR22&quot; liveryhas been added, the 2023 model is the first in the Ducati range to introduce the new Turn by Turn navigation system.

The integrated navigator is based on the Ducati Multimedia System, which uses the bike&#039;s TFT cluster instrumentation to display the route guidance calculated by the Ducati Link App. In this way, navigation functions can be exploited without the need for an external device.

It is an official Ducati Performance accessory and can be purchased at Blade Ducati Oxford together with the bike or even at a later date, allowing it to be used even by those who already own a DesertX.

The system relies on the Bluetooth connection between the smartphone (iOS or Android) bike and the earphones on the rider&#039;s and passenger&#039;s helmets through the Ducati Multimedia System (accessory to be purchased separately), which shows notifications on the instrument panel regarding phone calls, messages/emails received and listening to music on the smartphone.

To use the Turn by Turn navigation system, the latest version of the Ducati Link App and the user license activation are required. After that, all you have to do is enter one or more destinations for the app to calculate the route according to your preferences (fastest, most efficient, exclusion of toll roads, etc.) and you can start navigating.

The phone can then be placed in your pocket, in a tank bag or onthe Ducati Performance mount, without the need to keep the display on. Navigation is carried out with the support of maps, which can be downloaded in advance to reduce data traffic consumption or to get into difficulties in areas with poor signal coverage. By keeping the phone online, however, it is possible to take advantage of real-time traffic indications.

Navigation directions are displayed on the screen, leaving space for riding-relevant information so that safety is not compromised. Also in the interests of safety, the system displays the next turn along with the indication of the approaching turn, so that the driver can prepare well in advance for the manoeuvres to be carried out later. It is also possible to display the speed limits of the stretch being travelled thanks to the data on the maps.

The system makes it possible to choose which indications to receive (visual or visual and auditory, if a connection to the rider&#039;s headset is active) and to record the route together with all data on speed, lean angle and photos taken during the trip, so that the experience can be relived or shared with friends. The system, whose functionality will be constantly evolved in future versions, will also be adoptable on the Diavel V4. Map coverage is already extensive, and will be progressively increased in the coming months with the addition of China, South Korea and Japan.

    <title>Ducati presents the new Panigale V4 R</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/ducati-presents-the-new-panigale-v4-r</link>
    <description>
Ducati presents the new Panigale V4 R: over 240 hp in track setup, limiter at 16,500 rpm

The new Panigale V4 R adopts technical solutions previously reserved toMotoGP and Superbike, such as &quot;gun drilled&quot; titanium connecting rods and pistons with DLC surface treatment
The new Desmosedici Stradale R engine in track setup provides 240.5 hp at 15,500 rpm and continues with the limiter (in sixth gear) at 16,500 rpm: extraordinary numbers for a series production motorcycle
Together with the engine, a performance oil has been developed, derived from the formulations used in racing, which contributes to reaching the peak of 240.5 hp of maximum power.

With this bike, Ducati once again confirms its vocation:to offer its enthusiasts the most sophisticated and refined technological solutions, which bring the road supersports bike even closer to the racing bikes used in the WorldSBK Championship.

The new Ducati Panigale V4 R is recognizable from the first glance thanks to the presence of carbon wings and MotoGP-inspired livery, which integrates the white plates with the number &quot;1&quot; in evidence. For the first time, the bike will be produced in a numbered serieswith the progressive number and model name shown on the billet aluminium steering.

The heart of the Panigale V4 R is thenew 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R, an engine capable of reaching amaximum engine speed of 16,500 rpm in sixth gear(16,000 in the other ratios) and delivering amaximum power of 218 hp at 15,500 rpm(Euro-5 compliant*), absolute benchmark values in the panorama of supersports bikes of the same displacement. The new Desmosedici Stradale R, despite all the improvements, delivers slightly reduced performance compared to the previous version due to the limitation generated by the exhaust system complying with the strict Euro-5 homologation. The full potential of this engine, however, is expressed on the track by fitting the racing exhaust, whichallows it to reach 237 hp, 3 hp more than the predecessor.

The engine development of the new Panigale V4 R also involved the production of aspecial oildeveloped by Shell in collaboration with Ducati Corse. The new performance oil guarantees a 10% reduction in mechanical friction and leads to an increase in maximum power of a further 3.5 hp, which rises to +4.5 hp at the limiter.
The formulation of this oil is based on the use of racing-type additives, specific for high-rpm engines equipped with a dry clutch. It is in fact the dry clutch, as in MotoGP and SBK engines, that allows the use of additives, which would make torque transmission problematic in the wet clutch. These chemical elements are added to the base oil in dedicated quantities and percentages to ensure the right balance between performance and engine protection.

With the combination of racing exhaust and dedicated oil,the maximum power output of the Panigale V4 R can therefore reach an extraordinary 240.5 hp.

These numbers are possible thanks to the adoption ofsophisticated technical solutions derived from the world of racing competition.
For the first time on a road bike, gun drilled titanium connecting rodsare used, which are drilled longitudinally along the rod (1.6 mm diameter hole). This solution, allowing the passage of oil from the head to the small end, improves lubrication and reliability in extreme conditions.

The pistons of the Desmosedici Stradale R have askirt characterized by DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface treatment, a solution used in MotoGP and Formula 1 racing competition, which reduces friction between piston and liner and which is applied for the first time on a road engine. The pistons also have a new geometry that makes them 5 grams lighter (equal to 2% of their weight) thus reducing the forces of inertia, to the benefit of reliability.

The other changes involve a more aggressive profile of the intake cams, characterized in this version by a greater lift (1 mm) and matched to new variable-length horns, reduced by 5 mm in the short configuration. This modification improves breathing at high revs and thus increases the maximum power in the configuration with racing exhaust.

Again with a view to improving performance on the circuit, the Panigale V4 R adopts thesame gear ratios used by the bikes competing in the WorldSBK Championship, as was already the case with the Panigale V4 S 2022, with the lengthening of first (+11.6%), second (+5.6%) and sixth gear (+1.8%) compared to the previous model. First gear therefore becomes more usable in circuit riding, offering the benefits of greater engine management when braking and better acceleration when exiting corners. In addition, the smaller jump between first and second gear allows the Ducati Quick Shift to work more effectively, increasing the effectiveness of the new racing pattern.

The Desmosedici Stradale R in its 2023 version is also equipped with anew dry clutch derived from the development of the version used in the WorldSBK by the official Ducati team. The diameter and axial length of the clutch have been reduced (-24 mm) and above all its weight has dropped by around 800 grams.

The greater effectiveness of the new Panigale V4 R in circuit use is also obtained thanks to the adoption ofall the electronic evolutions already introduced on the Panigale V4 &#039;22 and &#039;23, with the expansion and evolution of the Power Modes, new Track Evo display on the dashboard, engine maps with calibration dedicated to each single gear, refinements to the Ducati Traction Control and the Ride By Wire system, but also the adoption of the Engine Brake Control EVO 2 strategy, the new strategy for the DQS and the cooling fan control update.

To make the Panigale V4 R even faster and more usable in racing use, the Power Mode logic already successfully implemented on the Panigale V4 and V4 S has been adopted, naturally with calibrations dedicated to the Desmosedici Stradale R engine.
There are four engine strategies: Full, High, Medium, Low.Full and Low are newly designed, while the High and Medium configurations have been revised. Full Power Mode allows the engine to express its full potential with torque curves without electronic filters, except for first gear. For the Medium and High Power Modes, a new Ride by Wire map management system has been developed with dedicated calibration for each of the six gears, which ensures the rider always obtains optimum drive every time the throttle is opened. The Low Power Mode, on the other hand, has been designed for riding on the road or for low-grip surfaces, limiting the maximum power of the bike to 160 hp and offering a particularly manageable throttle response.

The motorcycle operating parameters can be viewed even more effectively thanks to thenew dashboard graphics, which differ in a revised distribution of the functions of the warning lights outside the screen. The most important change on the Panigale V4 R, already introduced on the V4 S, concerns the interface, which evolves by means of the inclusion of a new Info Mode, developed by the MotoGP riders and called&quot;Track Evo&quot;, which is added to the already existing &quot;Road&quot; and &quot;Track&quot;.

To improve stability, precision and directionality in braking and corner entry phases and allow the rider to define more precisely the best electronic engine configuration on each circuit, the Panigale V4 R also adopts theEngine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2. This electronic engine brake management system features a different gear-by-gear calibration on each of the three selectable levels. The strategy was developed to optimize the intensity of the engine brake as a function of the load on the rear axle.

The Panigale V4 R adopts anew strategy for the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS)which improves the fluidity of shifting at every degree of opening of the throttle, both when the latter is partialized and when it is completely open, dealing with the two different situations in a different way.
In partialized throttle shifting, the strategy acts both by means of an injection cut of the previous strategy and with a reduction in advance, making the action smoother in road use thanks to the absence of engine shutdowns and re-starts.
In fully open throttle shifting, typical of track use, the DQS strategy is refined with an evolution of the torque restitution phase that guarantees more stability to the bike and a more homogeneous and therefore more profitable drive in the lap time.

In addition to these changes, there is also an update of the cooling fan control strategy, now able to offer better management of operating temperatures while also reducing the accumulation of heat typical of the conclusion of track sessions. Furthermore, this strategy guarantees greater thermal comfort for the rider at the typical speeds of road use.

For those who use the Panigale V4 R only on the track, the Bologna-based company has developed the specificDucati Performance DTC EVO 3 softwarefor slicks and rain tires (sold as an accessory, and which makes the V4 R not approved for road circulation open to traffic), which now also allows to activate the flashing operation of the rear position light, as required by racing regulations in case of rain, and replaces the Street Riding Mode with a Rain Mode specifically designed for use on wet surfaces.

To improve rider feeling when opening and managing the throttle, a new throttle control that is 50% more compact and characterized by radial and axial clearances reduced to a minimum, as well as being virtually free of initial idle travel, has been adopted.
Finally, as on racing bikes, there is a Pit Limiter to limit the speed at the exit and entry of the pit lane.

The Panigale V4 R continues with the layout based on the Front Frame and single-sided aluminium swingarm of the Ducati Panigale family. It is possible to adjust the height of the rear swingarm pivot in 4 positions in 2 mm steps.

To increase nimbleness, rider feeling and grip, the chassis of the Panigale V4 R also follows the evolutionary direction traced by the Panigale V4/V4 S with the 2022 model, while maintaining fully mechanical suspension adjustment. At the front, thehlins NPX25/30 pressurized forkincreases its travel by 5 mm compared to the previous &quot;R&quot;. This technical solution, combined with anhlins TTX36 shock absorberwhose centre distance goes from 312 to 316 mm and a standard adjustment of the swingarm pivot to the +1 position, increases the rear height by 20 mm. In this way, a higher centre of gravity is achieved and therefore greater nimbleness in corner entry and changes of direction.

The adoption of a less rigid spring for the shock absorber (from 105 N/mm to 80 N/mm) and a lower ground load on the front due to the lengthening of the fork travel, as well as improving the ability to &quot;copy the asphalt, accentuates load transfers by exploiting the greater negative travel of the suspension, increasing grip and feeling when entering corners. At the same time, the greater travel of the fork allows the front wheel to maintain contact with the asphalt even when faced with more accentuated load transfers towards the rear during acceleration, while the position of the swingarm pivot accentuates the anti-squat effect by improving stability, precision and ability to maintain the trajectory when coming out of corners.
Finally, to speed up and simplify calibration, the rear shock absorber is equipped with a hydraulic adjuster for preload.

The bodywork of the bike have also been updated, with the adoption of a brushed aluminium tank with a capacity increased to 17 litres and a profile that offers better support for the rider&#039;s arms and legs when braking and when cornering. The changes to the tank are added to a flatter saddle, with a reduced amount of foam and with a different covering, which on the one hand guarantees greater freedom of longitudinal movement, and on the other helps the rider to become more stable when necessary.

        Panigale V4 R

Lanuch film

On the Panigale V4 R theaerodynamic package has also been revisedwith a view to greater efficiency: the new two-element wings (main + flap) guarantee the same aerodynamic load, but are more compact and thinner (respectively by 40% and 50%).
To improve the cooling of the engine, stabilizing its performance in extreme use on the circuit, the fairing has been modified in the layout of the extractors in the lower area and complies with the World Superbike Championship regulations. Also in the lower part, on the left side, there is an air intake to cool the sensor of the Ducati Quick Shift.

To further increase efficiency in track use,Ducati Performance offers a wide range of accessories with which to complete and embellish the Panigale V4 R. It starts with the Akrapovi titanium full exhaust system with double under-seat silencer, which improves the already reduced weight/power ratio of the V4 R thanks to a weight saving of 5 kg compared to the standard system and the increase in power up to 237 hp. The exhaust is supplied with dedicated mapping with which all DTC, DWC, DPL and DSC parameters are adjusted to the new performance of the bike.
Further lightening is possible by fitting the magnesium rims, which guarantee a saving of 0.7 kg (-10%) compared to the already light forged original equipment rims, improving all aspects of dynamics and above all nimbleness in corner entry and in changes of direction.

To better adapt the riding position, adjustable aluminium rider footpegs are available, developed by Ducati Corse in collaboration with Rizoma. They are equipped with articulated brake and shifter pedals to minimize the risk of breakage in the event of a slide, and they use the standard DQS, which can be configured both as a traditional shifter and as a reverse/racing shifter.
The Pit Stop accessory package offers tyre warmers and garage stands to enable to approach your track sessions in the best of conditions. Those wishing to use Slick or Rain tyres can choose the DTC EVO 3 software, which introduces the specific calibrations of the electronic controls.
To further embellish the Panigale V4 R it is also possible to adopt one or more of the carbon fibre components for the bodywork, from the rear mudguard to protections for the frame, swingarm, sprocket and crankcase, even arriving at details such as the ducts for the cooling of the front brakes, which improve performance on the track and make braking more efficient and consistent.

    <title>The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/the-new-ducati-multistrada-v4-rally</link>
    <description>
The new Multistrada V4 Rally, the Ducati aimed at lovers of long journeys. An unstoppable companion of adventure, with which to conquer unexplored places, reaching them with maximum comfort. The bike to explore the world, without stopping at nothing, alone or with a passenger.

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is designed for the most demanding travellers, who want to reach destinations further afield, even with a passenger, without stopping at nothing

Improved comfort for rider and passenger and greater range, thanks to a 30-litre fuel tank and the new extended deactivation strategy, for the first time on a production motorcycle, which turns off the rear cylinder bank of the V4 Granturismo even on the move

More off-road attitude with 200 mm of suspension travel, more generous ground clearance and advanced Enduro Riding Mode with dedicated Power Mode

With the Rally,Ducati takes the globetrotter spirit of the Multistrada V4 to an even higher level, thanks toimproved comfort for rider and passenger, a greater range and a more pronounced off-road aptitude. The result is a motorcycle that is in its element on dirt roads as well as in modern metropolises: the perfect choice for those who want to reach any destination with maximum comfort and safety, without sacrificing the typical Ducati riding emotions. As with the entire Multistrada V4 family, performance (170 hp), reliability and maintenance costs (intervals every 60,000 km and Oil Service every 15,000 km/24 months) are excellent.

        Brushed Aluminium and Matt Black

In its element on any road
Living up to its name, the Rally model of the Multistrada V4 is a bike that further improves its ability to rule all roads, especially unpaved ones. In fact, this Multistrada can count onsemi-active suspensions with travel increased to 200 mmthat guarantees a higher ground clearance, on anew Power Mode dedicated to off-roading, onwider rider footpegs with a more marked profile and removable rubber insertand on theSkyhook DSS EVO control strategy, even more precise and efficient. The Multistrada V4 Rally is also equipped with anAutoleveling function, which guarantees a constant trim when the rider, passenger and luggage configuration alters, in order to always keep the characteristics of the vehicle unchanged. Off-road aptitude increases with the Multistrada V4 Rally thanks also tostandard lightened spoke rimsand reinforced engine guards.
With thenew 30-litre aluminium tank, which integrates harmoniously into the muscular and elegant shapes of the bike, it is possible to increase the distances that can be travelled between one refuelling stop and the next: the new Multistrada V4 Rally is ready to tackle even the most remote roads.

More comfort for rider and passenger
The Multistrada V4 Rally is theideal bike for travelling as a coupleand has been designed to take the comfort of the rider and travel companion to the highest level: in this sense the windshield has been redesigned (increased by 40 mm in height and 20 mm in width), the tail has been lengthened and the case attachment set back to offer more space in the leg area for the passenger, who can also count on footrests with larger rubber inserts to reduce the level of transmitted vibrations. Furthermore, thanks to the availability of saddles of different heights for both rider and passenger and the lowered suspension kit, the Multistrada V4 Rally can be customized to suit any rider and passenger combination.

TheMinimum Preload function, already introduced on the Multistrada V4 S in 2022, allows the rider to &quot;lower&quot; the bike when stopping and riding at low speed, by minimizing the preload of the shock absorber. The Multistrada V4 Rally takes a further step forward in terms of ease of use by introducing theEasy Lift functionwhich, by opening the suspension hydraulics at key-on, reduces the effort required to lift the motorcycle from the side stand thanks to fork and shock absorber compression.
In addition, a center stand is standard on this bike to help with the loading and unloading of the side cases and to perform any maintenance items on long journeys away from home easier.

        Safety and technology
Ducati Multistrada family continues to be abenchmark from a technological and safety point of viewalso with the Rally model. The Multistrada V4 was the first motorcycle in the world equipped with afront and rear radar systemto support the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which make riding less tiring on long road sections, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), which signals the presence of vehicles approaching in the blind corner of the mirrors.
The 6.5-inch TFT colour dashboard offers map navigation features thanks to the Ducati Connect application, which supports the use of a mobile phone to answer calls or listen to music, using a helmet equipped with an intercom system.
To further support active safety, the Multistrada V4 Rally integrates ABS Cornering, which allows you to take advantage of the braking power of its system even when cornering, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), which improve night visibility by illuminating the inside of corners, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). These systems use the inertial platform (IMU) to optimize the intervention based on the lean and pitch angle of the vehicle.

Enduro Riding Mode with dedicated Power Mode
To make the most of the potential of the Multistrada V4 in every context, Ducati has developedfour Riding Modes(Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro), which on the Multistrada V4 Rally see animportant evolution of the Enduro mode. Selecting the Enduro Riding Mode activates a dedicated Power Mode, which limits the power of the engine to 114 hp with a dynamic and direct response. The DSS Evolution gets ready for off-road riding by indicating the load mode with a specific icon, depicting an off-road helmet. The DTC switches to a lower intervention level and the DWC is deactivated. The ABS on the rear wheel is also deactivated and cornering functionality and rear lift detection are suppressed to adapt to off-road use.

Extended deactivation
The Multistrada V4 Rally also introduces abrand-new strategy of extended deactivation of the rear cylinder bank,a technical solution debuting for the first time in the world on a production motorcycle. In addition to switching off the rear cylinders at idle with the motorcycle stationary, a function already present on the Multistrada V4, the V4 Granturismo now keeps the rear bank deactivated in other operating conditions to the benefit of fuel consumption and emissions.
With this new strategy, deactivation takes place even with the motorcycle in motion: as speed increases or above a certain power request from the throttle grip, the rear cylinders are reactivated, guaranteeing the character and performance of the V4 Granturismo. This system is active in all Riding Modes.

        Engine and chassis
The 1,158 ccV4 Granturismo engine delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 121 Nm (12.3 kgm) at 8,750 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve to ensure a smooth and progressive response at all revs. The performance of this engine, combined with its total weight of only 66.7 kg, allows the V4 Granturismo to continue to be the benchmark in the category for power and lightness. These numbers are combined with refined technical solutions, such as a counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from the experience gained by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, which works &quot;against&quot; the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, but also the torque curves dedicated to each single gear ratio to combine smooth delivery at low revs, robustness of torque in the mids and power at highs.

At chassis level, the Multistrada V4 Rally continues with the monocoque aluminium frame, light and compact, with a double-sided swingarm shell-cast in aluminium. The Multistrada V4 Rally is offered exclusively with tubeless spoke rims, redesigned and lightened to improve its dynamic qualities.

Equipment
The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is offered inthree different versions:Adventure Radar, equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection,Adventure Travel &amp; Radar, which adds aluminium side cases, heated grips and saddles, while theFull Adventurecompletes this latter equipment with a homologated Akrapovi silencer and a carbon fibre front mudguard.

Accessories and apparel
In addition to a benchmark level of standard equipment for the category, the Multistrada V4 Rally also has a wide range of accessories. On top of the different saddles, to meet the ergonomic needs of rider and passenger, and the components proposed in the three configurations, the following will be available: different options for the windscreen, steel-tube engine guard, additional LED spotlights, satnav with dedicated support, and various luggage solutions, designed for both the tank and the rear plate - top case or soft bag - for those who want to further enhance the 360 tourer qualities of the Multistrada V4 Rally.
It is also possible to make the Multistrada V4 Rally sportier and embellish its appearance with different parts of carbon fibre trim, aluminium levers and footrests machined from solid, dynamic LED indicators and brake and clutch fluid reservoirs machined from solid.

Ducati has created items of apparel to fully enjoy the touring possibilities of the Multistrada V4 Rally. The Atacama C2 suit, for example, with large areas dedicated to ventilation, detachable sleeves and three independent layers, including thermal lining and waterproof membrane, to offer comfort in all weather conditions. Or the Strada C5 suit made of a comfortable stretch fabric, robust and modular in thermal protection, thanks to the detachable Gore-Texinternal membrane and an internal down jacket that can also be used on its own once the bike is parked.

        Availability
TheDucati Multistrada V4 Rallywill arrive at Ducati Oxford starting from February 2023 in two colours: Ducati Red and Brushed Aluminium &amp; Matt Black, the latter with an exposed brushed aluminium tank, with black spoke rims for both. Powered by Testastretta 11 engine, the new DesertX guarantees a comfortable, easy and safe ride in a variety of travel situations thanks to the obsessive attention to ergonomics, in-depth aerodynamic studies as well as latest-generation technological features
The new Ducati DesertX was unveiled to the public in the sixth episode of theDucati World Premire 2022

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 9 December 2021 In the sixth episode of theDucati World Premire 2022, the newDesertXwas unveiled to all motorcycle enthusiasts (here the direct link to the video).
The new DesertX is a bike with an intense off-road attitude, that effectivelyenlarges the boundaries of what can be done with a Ducati. Desert dunes, narrow off-road paths, gravel roads and mountainous twisties: with DesertX travellers dreams know no more limits.

Fitted with 21 front wheel and 18 rear, the new DesertX has been designed to tackle even the most demanding off-road. The specifically off-road-focused development matched with Ducati valuable road expertise give life to a responsive, easy-to-approach bike, at ease on any route and asphalt.

The DesertX project was born in 2019 when Ducati presented the eponymous concept to the public, generating a strong and positive reaction from motorcyclists around the world. This important feedback gave the Bologna-based manufacturer the decisive push to transform that concept into this functional, competent and effective motorcycle.

The design of the DesertX represents a contemporary interpretation of the lines of the Enduro motorcycles of the 80s, created by the Ducati Centro Stile in keeping withessentiality and robustnesscriteria.
The bike is visually composed of 3 macro elements: a unique volume that includes the tank and the side shields, the saddle and the windshield that embodies the distinctive double headlight and further reinforces the uniqueness of this bike. Additionally, stylistic emphasis is given by the use of black and white areas. The surfaces in contact with the rider are properly large and harmoniously connected to better support every off-road riding phase.

The chassis layout of the new Ducati DesertX includes a new steel trellis frame, which works in combination withlong travel suspension with dedicated settings, to ensure effective operation even in the most demanding off-road conditions. The optimisation of all components led to an efficient bike, all packed in 202 kg (dry weight). The choices in terms of chassis make DesertX an easy bike to ride and able to give the right dose of feeling and safety on any surface. Furthermore, the new DesertX offers a great capacity to absorb road imperfections.

On suspension front, the DesertX stands out for its premium fitting. It is offered with 46 mm diameter upside-down Kayaba fork with 230 mm travel and Kayaba monoshock. Both elements are adjustable in compression, rebound and preload. The Kayaba monoshock is perfectly married to the aluminium swingarm and allows a rear wheel travel of 220 mm. In addition, the new DesertX has agenerous 250 mm ground clearance, which results particularly suitable for more extreme off-road adventures.

It is noteworthy that the new DesertX featuresunprecedented tyres size for a Ducati: 21 at the front and 18 at the rear. The original equipment tyres are the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, 90/90-21 and 150/70 R18: the perfect choice for a brilliant all-round use of the bike. DesertX will also be homologated to fit both off and on-road-oriented tyres.

Like all Ducati motorcycles the braking system of this new bike benefits from ABS Cornering function. The front features Brembo M50 monobloc radial calipers with four 30 mm diameter pistons, axial pump with adjustable levers and double 320 mm discs with aluminium flanges. At the rear there is a single 265 mm diameter disc on which works a twin-piston floating caliper, always by Brembo. The braking power setting has been conceived to offer great modulability in off-road driving as well as on slippery surfaces, not to mention the fact that it grants the right dose of power in road use.

The ergonomics of the new DesertX have been developed over long and demanding off-road and on-asphalt test sessions. The saddle-footrest-handlebar triangulation gives its best in stand-up riding and offers a good level of comfort even on on-road riding. The result is a bike with an extremely slim fitting area and perfectly linked surfaces that guarantee the rider maximum control and handling. Saddle is 875 mm high. The combination of a particularly narrow inner leg curve and initial suspension compliance ensures good contact with the ground. The saddle height can still be reduced by means of a lowered saddle (available as an accessory) and can be further lowered thanks to an ad hoc kit.

Ducati technicians have also worked hard on a full suite of contents, that make DesertX atrue enjoyable toolon every road. The riding position, for example, results even more comfortable for rider and passenger alike, thanks to the definition of shape and padding targeted for each of the two seats. Heat management is studied in detail with openings and flows of fresh air whilst aerodynamic protection is ensured by the great care taken in defining the shape and size of the original windshield and the even more protective accessory one.

Proper range to face longer journeys is guaranteed by thefuel tank with over 21 l of capacityand thus offering the opportunity of mounting a second tank (available as accessory) in the rear area, adding further 8 l of fuel. Fuel transfer from the rear to the front tank is enabled when the fuel level in the main tank falls below a certain level and can be activated from the dashboard.
DesertX also has an excellent load capacity, almost 120 l of volume available including bags and aluminium top case. The specific choice of tubeless tyres is functional to the journey and to safety. It allows a combination of greater reliability, greater safety in the event of a puncture and easier repair.

The admired937 cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11 Desmodromic valvetrain engineis the heart of the new DesertX. Characterized by an excellent reliability, this engine delivers110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm* in Euro5 configuration.
Solid Ducati performance is combined with regular and always manageable delivery, providing the rider with a bike capable of tackling any route with great confidence. The engine can count on all the improvements already seen on the Monster and Multistrada V2, including the extremely light and compact 8-disc clutch and the gearbox equipped with a geardrum mounted on bearings to reduce friction and improve precision and smoothness while shifting. This contributes also to a reduction of the total weight of the engine of 1.7 kg compared to the previous version.

To offer the best performance in off-road riding and in various uses, the Testastretta 11 has been specifically optimised. In fact, the gearbox hasdifferent dedicated ratioswith respect to those of the Multistrada V2. As a matter of fact the ratios have been shortened overall on all gears up to fifth, to ensure the best off-road behaviour. First and second gears, in particular, are much shorter, in order to facilitate the low-speed driving phases of certain difficult passages typical of off-road use. Sixth gear is properly long to facilitate highway handling while maintaining low engine speeds; this means a contained fuel consumption and an increased level of comfort.

A special mention is deserved by state-of-the-art electronic systems, which offer first-rate performance and safety also in terms of rider aids.New DesertX in fact comes with 6 Riding Modesworking in combination with 4 Power Modes - Full, High, Medium, Low - that modify the power and responsiveness of the Testastretta engine. The main new features are specific settings for theEnduro Riding Modeand the introduction of thenew Rally Riding Mode, in addition to Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet.

To be precise, the Enduro Riding Mode, thanks to the reduced power and the specially designed control settings, allows the rider to tackle the most demanding dirt roads with greater safety and makes it easier for less experienced users to ride off-road. The Rally Riding Mode, on the other hand, with full engine power and reduced electronic controls, is designed for more experienced riders who want to make the most of DesertX&#039;s off-road performance.

Each Riding Mode, also thanks to the presence of the Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), can change the character of the bike according to the riders input, by acting on the intervention levels of the various electronic controls: Engine Brake Control (EBC), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up &amp; Down and ABS Cornering.

ABS Cornering, in particular, can be set on 3 levels to be able to adapt to whatever situation and rider skill. In the Riding Modes dedicated to off-road (Enduro and Rally), ABS Cornering can also be completely deactivated via the switch cube with a specific button.

The dashboard of the DesertX, vertically oriented and positioned to offer clear information also in stand-up riding, features a high resolution 5 full-TFT colour display. The instrumentation is predispose to integrate the Ducati Multimedia System which allows the rider to connect the phone, thus activating new functions such as music and incoming/outgoing calls or Turn-by-Turn navigation** (optional), which displays directions directly on the dashboard.

The rider is offered the opportunity to choose between two as-standard Info Modes: Standard and Rally. The Standard option provides for all the road information: tachometer and speedometer are clearly visible, as well as the engaged gear, fuel level and other useful journey information. The trip master function is part of the Rally Info Mode. This simulates the operation of the trip master used in rally motorcycles and allows to manually adjust the odometer indication, using the buttons on the left switch cube.

Premium technological features are also represented by the lighting system, which is full LED. The double front headlight has two twin-function poly-ellipsoidal modules with Daytime Running Light (DRL) and has been designed to ensure excellent visibility, particularly important for a motorcycle capable of travelling in all conditions. The rear light is equipped with the Ducati Brake Light, a particular system that, in the event of sudden braking, automatically activates the flashing of the rear light to alert the following vehicles, a solution that further improves riders safety.

Such multi-faceted motorcycle can be further customised by the riders according to their own spirit and mood by drawing on the broad range ofDucati Performance accessories. Among the most appealing items: the rally saddle, which marries the rider and passenger seats for greater effectiveness in off-road activities, and the additional 8-l tank. Touring experience can be further improved with the aluminum side panniers which, combined with the top case, give the bike a total load capacity amount of 117 l, additional LED spotlights, central stand and heated grips. Termignoni exhausts are also available, both homologated and racing. The latter increases the values of power and torque of +7% thanks to the dedicated mapping.

The DesertX will be available at Blade Ducati Oxford from May 2022. The motorcycles will also be available in a depowered version for A2 license holders.

<title>New Ducati Streetfighters are coming to town</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/new-ducati-streetfighters-are-coming-to-town</link>
    <description>
Naked, raw, powerful and thrilling, just a few of the feelings and emotions that come to mind when you see the Ducati Streetfirghter range. Now with two new stunning models, an entry level naked Streetfighter V2 and an emense range topping Streetfighter V4 SP.

Ducati Streetfighter V2

The new Streetfighter V2 is a sports naked with a one-of-a-kind character. It accommodates the needs of those riders who are looking for a bike capable of combining the sporting Panigale V2s DNA with both the attitude and style of the admired Streetfighter. The result is an intuitive and easy-to-handle vehicle, with the right dose of power to ensure feisty performance and maximum riding fun.

It is noteworthy that this project is the precious fruit of the reinterpretation of Ducatis successful Fight Formula, this time applied to the Panigale V2, stripped of the fairings and equipped with high and wide handlebars. The dry weight of this vehicle is 178 kg and the engine is the 955 cc and 153 hp Superquadro controlled by the latest-generation electronic package.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP

The Streetfighter V4 SP is equipped with5 split-spoke carbon rims, 1.4 kg lighter than the forged aluminum ones fitted as standard on the Streetfighter V4 S and capable of reducing the inertia by 26% at the front and 46% at the rear, making the bike significantly more agile and lighter when changing direction. The exclusiveBrembo Stylema Rfront brake calipersguarantee uncommon braking power, as well as stunning performance even during extended use on track*.

The new bike is equipped with thehlins Smart EC 2.0with the event-based system that can vary the damping according to the rider&#039;s riding style, and together with biplane wings they increase confidence and ensure the best performance in sporty use.

Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V4 SP: two new Ducati models derived from the successful Fight Formula

Building on the success of the V4 model, the Ducati Streetfighter family expands thanks to the introduction of new Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V4 SP models
The Streetfighter V2 truly represents the essence of the Fighter attitude: the new gateway to the Streetfighter family is the perfect synthesis between boldness and essentiality
Manufactured in a numbered series, top-of-the-range Streetfighter V4 SP adds the class-leading technical specification of the SP models to the Fight Formula, further improving the power-to-weight ratio of the Streetfighter V4 S, already at the top of its category

Ducati expands the Streetfighter family with the introduction of two new models: the bold and essentialStreetfighter V2and the top-of-the-rangeStreetfighter V4 SP. All the in-depth information on the two bikes have been revealed during the fourth episode of theDucati World Premireweb series.

The new Streetfighter V2 isessential and characterized by a truly sharp design, which embraces the classic stylistic elements of the Streetfighter V4, starting with the distinctive headlight, which recalls the V-shaped DRL typical of Ducati sports bikes and is inspired by the famous grin of the Joker.
The design concept behind this new model is built around the mechanics inherited from the Panigale V2, with the Superquadro engine as a bearing element.

Ergonomics has major rider-centric features and is focused on road use with the added values ofsportiness and comfort. The high and wide aluminum handlebars replace the handlebar risers of the Panigale V2. The saddle now is wider and has new padding that contributes to make this bike even more comfortable. In addition, the footpegs have been repositioned to increase the amount of room. All these improvements allow the biker great control in sporty riding and facilitate everyday use at the same time.

The engine of the Streetfighter V2 is the 955 cc Euro 5-compliant Superquadro, capable of delivering a maximum power of 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 101.4 Nm at 9,000 rpm. This engine results not only usable and enjoyable on the road but also effective and excellent on the track, where can be easily managed. Compared to the Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 project has a shorter final ratio (15/45 vs 15/43) which guarantees greater torque to the wheel at road speeds while giving better engine responsiveness when re-opening the throttle.

While developing this new model, Ducati engineers focused their attention on the chassis set-up. As a matter of fact, the Superquadro engine is used as a bearing element connecting the compact front structure, consisting of a monocoque frame in die-cast aluminum fixed to the engine head. The single-sided swingarm, which is also connected to the engine, is 16 mm longer compared to that of the Panigale V2, a winning point which contributes to ensure the stability of the whole bike.
To this platform are added the 43 mm Showa BPF front fork and the Sachs shock absorber, featuring dedicated calibration to make the bike more comfortable on the road as well as easily adjustable for a whole new dimension of fun on the racetrack.

The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with 5-spoke wheels and the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres: 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 180/60 ZR17 at the rear, which provide a super fast response to the riders needs together with an extra cornering feeling. Except for the adoption of brake pads characterised by a less aggressive bite, more suitable for road use, the whole braking system is faithfully taken from the Panigale V2 and features Brembo M4-32 monobloc radial calipers with 320 mm diameter discs.

Also the comprehensive and modern electronic compartment fitting the Streetfighter V2 is inherited from the Panigale V2. The 6-axis IMU inertial platform manages all the electronic controls of the bike and gives the position of the bike in space in real time, sending the information to the control units that manage the controls. The electronic package includes: ABS Cornering EVO with slide by brake functionality, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.

The Streetfighter V2 features three different Riding Modes (Sport, Road, Wet) with dedicated control settings. The electronic equipment can be enhanced by the accessories contained in the Ducati Performance catalogue: Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA + GPS) and Ducati Multimedia System.

The bike is equipped with full-LED headlights with front DRL and a 4.3 full-TFT dashboard characterised by an intuitive interface that recalls the Streetfighter V4 family-feeling.

The Streetfighter V2 will be available at Ducati dealerships starting fromDecember 2021in the Ducati Red colour with black rims.

The Ducati Performance catalogue features numerous accessories designed to enhance look, performance and style of the new Streetfighter V2. Among these, the wings stand out, designed by Ducati to obtain even higher performance in track use.

For 2022 Ducati introduces also top-of-the-rangeStreetfighter V4 SPmodel, offered in a numbered version and marked with the well-known SP (which stands for Sport Production) abbreviation. The new Streetfighter V4 SP isthe most adrenaline-pumping naked to ever roll its wheels off the production line in Borgo Panigale. This thanks to a special technical equipment that perfectly combines the Fight Formula with the SP specifications, further improving the power-to-weight ratio of the Streetfighter V4 S, which was already at the top of its category, and making the bike even more effective on the track.

The Streetfighter V4 SP comes with a dedicated livery, premium equipment derived from the Superleggera V4, as well as with a restrained weight: 196 kg in running order (3 kg less compared to the Streetfighter V4 S).

The essential and captivatingWinter Test liveryhas been conceived by the Ducati Centro Stile taking inspiration from the Ducati Corse motorcycles ridden in MotoGP and SBK Championships pre-season tests. The Matt Black of the fairings combined with the Matt Carbon finish of rims and wings superbly contrasts with the bright Red accents and the sparkling brushed aluminum tank. The new born from Borgo Panigale is also enriched with some beautiful details, such as the progressive number printed on the handlebar and the Italian flag colour scheme on the carbon wings.

The beating heart is the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale with 208 hp capable of delivering a torque of 123 Nm at 9,500 rpm (Euro 5-compliant). On the Streetfighter V4 SP the Desmosedici Stradale is fitted with the STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, which guarantees a better anti-hopping function, even in the most aggressive downshifts, and greater fluidity during all off-throttle stages, a crucial aspect to be truly effective on the track when pushing to the limit.

The equipment of this unique bike is enriched by the adjustable aluminum and CNC machined footpegs, the carbon front mudguard, the lithium-ion battery and a range of accessories suitable for the track days, such as the open carbon clutch cover** and the caps for removing the license plate holder**.

Thanks to its technical equipment, the Streetfighter V4 SP is the ideal companion for the amateur who wants to rule the track riding a naked bike and get an instant response. Braking capacity results in fact out of the ordinary, the bike is easier to lay into the corner and gets to the apex faster, not to mention the great stability at high speeds.

The Streetfighter V4 SP will be available in single-seat configuration in the Winter Test livery. The bike will be at Ducati Oxford starting atJanuary 2022.

    <title>Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Champion 20th Anniversary</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/ducati-panigale-v2-bayliss-1st-champion-20th-anniversary</link>
    <description>
A unique Panigale. Twin cylinder. Baylisstic.52 wins, 94 podiums and 3 World Superbike Championships: the Ducati-Bayliss pair was one of the most successful in the motorsports world.

21 has been a magic number for Ducati ever since Troy Bayliss sculpted it with his victories in motorcycling history. Precisely in 2021, twenty years after winning the 2001 Superbike World Championship, Ducati is paying homage to the legendary career of the Australian rider by dedicating to him a special motorcycle, produced in a numbered series, which celebrates the first of the three World SBK titles won by Bayliss: the Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary.

The bond between Bayliss and Ducati Corse in the Superbike World Championship is one of the most fascinating stories in the motorsport universe. The results of this beautiful adventure are 52 victories, 94 podiums and three world titles (2001, 2006 and 2008) won with three different bikes: the twin-cylinder 996 R, the 999 R and the 1098 R. Troy Bayliss is the only motorcycle racer in history capable of winning in MotoGP and World Superbike in the same season (2006) and his achievements in the race have indelibly imprinted the Australian&#039;s name in the hearts of all Ducatisti. Now the winning chemistry between Ducati and &quot;Baylisstic&quot; is rekindled with the creation of this celebratory motorcycle, the name of which was chosen directly by the rider, who also actively contributed to the creation of the graphic concept.

Made starting from the base of the Panigale V2, the &quot;Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary&quot; version is characterized by its special livery , whose graphics are inspired by that of the 996 R which in the 2001 season powered Bayliss to the conquest of his first world title, revisiting its colours and cuts. Ducati red is the main colour of the bike, and it joins green and white in a tribute to the Italian spirit of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, while the iconic #21, Troy Bayliss&#039; race number, and the Shell logo, which visually strengthen the link with the racing bike, stand out on the sides and front. Troy&#039;s autograph is reproduced on the fuel tank, while the billet aluminium triple clamp shows the name of the bike and the progressive numbering of this unique model.

To make the motorcycle even more effective in track riding, Ducati has chosen to equip the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary with hlins components . The NX30 front fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber guarantee maximum smoothness and are designed to achieve the best performance on the circuit, with a set-up that makes the bike more precise and offers the rider greater feeling and greater support in all riding phases. The steering damper, thanks to the adjustments it is equipped with, allows you to customize its calibration by adapting it to riding style and the characteristics of the track.

Compared to the standard version, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is also 3 kg lighter, thanks to the adoption of a lithium-ion battery and the choice of the single-seater configuration that explicitly recalls the look of the racing bike (passenger seat and footrests are available in the equipment supplied).

The equipment is completed by the sport grips, the silencer outlet cover in carbon fibre and titanium and the rider seat made by combining two different technical materials with double red stitching. Troys number 21 is embroidered in white on the saddle and, together with the green and red bands, makes up the Italian flag. The motorcycle is also equipped with self-cleaning brake and clutch pumps with smoke grey oil tanks.

The Panigale V2 is the super-mid of Ducati sports bikes and represents the entry model to the Panigale family. It is powered by the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder unit (Euro 5 compliant), with a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The chassis is based on the monocoque frame, while the elegant and sporty design is inspired by that of the Panigale V4.

The electronic package, dedicated to active safety and vehicle dynamics control, includes the &quot;cornering&quot; function applied to Bosch ABS, the electronic quick shift that also works when downshifting and traction, engine brake and wheelie controls (Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control). All the controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) that can be modified using the 4.3&quot; colour TFT dashboard with graphics and interface designed to make menu navigation and settings adjustment intuitive, as well as immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.

The bike was officially presented by Ducati in a special episode of the Ducati World Premire (here the link to see it ) made at the Ducati Museum, on the track and at Troy&#039;s home in Australia. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse Team Manager Davide Tardozzi, who was alongside Bayliss throughout his career in Ducati, Director of the Centro Stile Ducati Andrea Ferraresi and Ducati Head of Product Communications Giulio Fabbri all contributed to the presentation of the characteristics of the bike and the storytelling of the incredible relationship between Ducati and Bayliss. Troy himself took part in this video, sharing with Ducatisti his most indelible memories and emotions experienced on the bike.

The World Superbike universe will also pay tribute to Baylisss career during Round 5 of the season, scheduled for the weekend at the Assen track. On Friday 23 July at 13.00, the Australian champion will be the protagonist of a virtual press conference at the Paddock Show together with Ducati Corse Sporting Director Paolo Ciabatti, in which the most important stages of the victory of Troy&#039;s first title, won on the Dutch circuit, will be remembered. On Sunday 25 July at 12.05, after the SuperPole Race, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary will complete a lap of honour on the track, ridden by Aruba.it Racing - Ducati factory rider Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who competes in WorldSBK with the same number as Bayliss.

<title>New livery for the Ducati Panigale V2</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/new-livery-for-the-ducati-panigale-v2</link>
    <description>

The colour range of the Ducati Panigale V2 is extended with the new White Rosso livery, production from July 2020

The purity of Star White Silk white combines with the traditional Ducati Red colouring the rims, the front air intakes and the air deflectors of the upper half-fairings
  Francesco &quot;Pecco&quot; Bagnaia (Pramac Racing Team), riding the Panigale V2, is the protagonist of the photo-video shooting of the new livery at the Misano World Circuit &quot;Marco Simoncelli&quot;

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 1 July 2020 - The colour range of the Panigale V2 is extended with the new White Rosso livery, which goes alongside the monochromatic Ducati Red livery with which the bike was presented last November.

The new White Rosso livery has Star White Silk as its main colour. The predominance of white enhances the design of the Panigale V2, highlighting the lines and the purity of the geometrical shapes. At the same time the details in Ducati Red emphasize its sporty and powerful character. The Ducati Red colours the rims, the front air intakes and the deflectors of the upper half-fairings. These last two red touches ideally accompany the path of the airflows inside the motorcycle, i.e. those that feed the engine and those that pass through the radiator.

This new livery is completed with an additional touch of sportiness thanks to the positioning on the lower half-fairings of the large Panigale V2 logo, inspired by the graphics of Ducati Corse motorcycles.

Testimonial of the Panigale V2 and protagonist of the photo and video shooting of the new livery is the rider of the Pramac Racing Team Francesco &quot;Pecco&quot; Bagnaia. In fact, Pecco was able to enjoy a preview of the bike by testing it at the Misano World Circuit &quot;Marco Simoncelli&quot;.

&quot;Since 2016, my personal motto has been #GoFree. For me it means living in a light-hearted and carefree way, having fun and giving priority to the things you love to do. I think the Panigale V2 fits well with this definition and reflects my way of being &quot;, said Pecco Bagnaia after trying the Panigale V2. &quot;The new livery, so white, is very beautiful and different from the usual. Despite being a street bike, it surprised me how much speed it can have when cornering. It is a fun, very stable and very sincere bike that allows you to go fast, safely, without becoming tired, while having a very strong and decisive character and personality.&quot;

The Panigale V2, presented less than a year ago and capable of immediately conquering an enthusiastic public, is the super-mid of the Ducati sports bikes and represents the entry model to the Panigale family. It is powered by the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder engine (compliant with Euro 5 standard) and has a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The power of the Panigale V2 allows to have fun on the track, delivering a motorcycle in the hands of the rider that never puts you in difficulty and can always be fully exploited. The delivery of the twin-cylinder is such that more than 70% of the maximum torque is constantly available beyond 5,500 rpm, allowing to get out of the corners quickly, even the slowest ones.

The chassis of the Panigale V2 is based on the monocoque frame and is dressed in an elegant and sporty design inspired by that of the Panigale V4. The fairing has extensive and clean surfaces that surround the mechanical components, enhancing the small size of the Superquadro twin-cylinder and creating a visually compact motorcycle.

The &quot;family feeling&quot; with the other Panigale models is also underlined by the single-sided swingarm, while the compact-sized single lateral exit exhaust, with under-engine silencer, emphasizes the clean lines of the Panigale V2.

The complete and modern electronic equipment, based on the 6-axis inertial platform, leaves no doubt about the sporting DNA of the bike. The electronic package, dedicated to active safety and vehicle dynamics control, includes the &quot;cornering&quot; functionality applied to the Bosch ABS, an electronic gearbox, with operation also in downshift and traction, engine braking and wheelie controls. All the controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) that can be modified via the 4.3 TFT colour dashboard with graphics and interface designed to make menu navigation and setting adjustments intuitive, as well as the immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.

The chassis has fully-adjustable suspension with a Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) 43 mm in diameter and a Sachs shock absorber set up to make the bike intuitive, agile and fun; in addition, the specific calibration of the hydraulic brakes makes it comfortable for road use. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II multi-compound tyres, which combine track performance with versatility on the road, also contribute to the dynamic qualities of the Panigale V2.

The ergonomics of the semi-handlebars and the rider seat offer a non-fatiguing position on the road and an efficient one on the track, thus allowing the rider to move freely.

The technical equipment is completed by a Sachs steering damper and by a Brembo braking system with M4.32 monobloc callipers activated by a radial brake master cylinder. The discs are 320 mm in diameter at the front with a single 245 mm disc at the rear. Braking is powerful, never excessively aggressive and always adjustable.

Production of the Panigale V2 in White Rosso livery from July 2020.

    <title>Excitement and fun with the Ducati Panigale V4 R LEGO® Technic™</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/excitement-and-fun-with-the-ducati-panigale-v4-r-legotechnic%25E2%2584%25A2</link>
    <description>
Ducati and the LEGO Group present the latest model in the LEGO Technic line: the Ducati Panigale V4 R, the result of a licensing agreement recently signed between the LEGO Group and Ducati Motor Holding. Unique of its kind, the first-ever brick reproduction of a Ducati motorcycle expresses and respects the values of Style, Sophistication and Performance that characterize the brand.

The new set combines LEGO Technic DNA with that of Ducati, recreating in brick a spectacular reproduction of the Panigale V4 R, which identifies the maximum expression of Ducati racing bikes homologated for road use, technological excellence, and Italian design worldwide. The most powerful and high-performance Ducati of all time, with 221 horsepower (162 kW) delivered at 15,250 rpm (234 hp / 172 kW at 15,500 rpm with the Ducati Performance by Akrapovi full-racing exhaust) thanks to the 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R, an engine born to compete on track in the WSBK championship. Never before has LEGO Build for Real transported fans from game to reality.

The thrill of the engine roar, the adrenaline of acceleration and the riding position in tackling curves, combined with a breath-taking design; anyone who has ever imagined riding this motorcycle symbol of Italian engineering will love building the LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R set. It will be fantastic to discover how the innovative 2-speed gearbox, exclusive to this new LEGO reproduction, activates the V4 engine, as well as trying the innovative and original front and rear suspension, to simulate a GP ride and feel like an official Ducati rider.

The LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R measures 32 cm in length, 16 cm in height and 8 cm in width and is the first motorcycle model in LEGO Technic history to include a gearbox to simulate different speeds and riding techniques. Other striking features are the steering and suspension that give realistic movement, in addition to front and rear disc brakes. Kickstand, exhaust pipe, windscreen and dashboard are the details that make this bike so faithful to the real version. Last but not least, the red colour that accelerates the heartbeat of every Ducati fan.

We have all been children fond of LEGO bricks and I think it is easy to understand that this new licensing agreement between Ducati and the LEGO Group is like a dream come true. Two excellences that share the same values of dedication, passion and attention to detail come together to give life to a unique experience said Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati Licensing Director. Our hope is that the Ducati Panigale V4 R LEGO Technic can bring together, excite and entertain children and parents, but also all the fans who ride their motorbikes every day.&quot;

The Ducati Panigale V4 R is such an elegant icon and a masterpiece of technology states Aurlien Rouffiange, Senior Designer of LEGO Technic. It was essential for me to include as many details and features as I could, to capture all the curves and the unique design of the Red icon, to create for the first time a functioning gearbox and steering as well as a V4 cylinder engine that spins. To me riding is all about the sensation you feel in connection with the road on your motorcycle. I hope that building the LEGO TECHNIC Panigale V4R model brings you the same excitement. Not only a play experience but also a way to learn about mechanics, power and technology. The beginning of a long journey with a lot of fun and passion.

&quot;Being one of the first to have built with bricks the model of an icon such as the Ducati Panigale V4 R was exciting&quot;, stated Paolo Lazzarin, General Manager of LEGO Italia. &quot; The set perfectly captures the spirit and design of the original thereby transforming the concept of performance: pure adrenalin racing and full control. This model is the brainchild of the partnership with Ducati Design Center and I am convinced that LEGO fans of all ages will appreciate the attention-to-detail in this amazing motorcycle replica created by LEGO Technic.

Creating the LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R set is exciting and offers an addictive and rewarding construction experience. Reproducing the realistic features such as the engine introduces builders, regardless of their age, to the world of engineering, and just one look at the details of the LEGO mechanisms and gears lets you see how similar this brick model is to the real bike.

The LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R model, created with 646 pieces, is designed for fans aged 10+ and will be available in our Ducati dealerships.

    <title>New 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/new-2020-ducati-streetfighter-v4</link>
    <description>
DUCATI STREETFIGHTER V4 &amp; V4S - Place your deposit today - Limited Supply for 2020 Season!

The Panigale V4 stripped of the fairings, with a high and wide handlebar, 178 kg on the scale, powered by 1100 cc Desmosedici Stradale delivering 208 hp kept in hand by biplane wings and a complete electronic package, this is the Fight Formula that gives life to the Streetfighter V4. The result is a modern and technological naked bike with an aggressive and emotional design, which does nothing to hide its high performances. The minimalist full-LED headlight captures the spirit of the Streetfighter V4 perfectly: recalling the front of the Panigale V4, it also evokes the grin of the Joker (the comic strip character from which the designer of the new naked drew inspiration).

True Ducati design is also evident in the V-shaped DRL, already featured on the Panigale V4 and SuperSport. On the Streetfighter, the Front Frame and Desmosedici Stradale engine take centre-stage. Only partially screened by superstructures that have been cut to a bare minimum, their sharp lines create a clean, essential whole. The low, lunging front end flows out from the tank, giving the Streetfighter the look of a predator coiled for the pounce. In keeping with streetfighter culture, the clip-on handlebars have been replaced with a high, wide bar that, together with a moderated footpeg position, make the riding position sporty yet agile, perfect for ripping up the road.

Such powerful design demands a powerful engine, and the 1103 cm3 Desmosedici Stradale 208 hp fits the bill: for a naked, it packs an impressive punch, yet dedicated engine mapping lets the rider control the power with confidence. The engine - combined with a kerb weight of 178 kg (of the S version) - takes the power/weight ratio to 1.17. Performance can be further improved by mounting the full-racing Ducati Performance exhaust by Akrapovic, which boosts power to 220 hp and educes weight by 6 kg. Feisty Streetfighter V4 performance is kept under control by sophisticated electronics lifted directly from the Panigale V4 and the &#039;biplane&#039; wings developed by Ducati Corse aerodynamicists. Brought forward to maximise their effect, the wings generate 28 kg of downforce at 270 kph, attenuating front wheel &#039;floating&#039; at high speed and the tendency to wheel-up. They also boost stability during braking at the turn-in point and through the corner. On the road, this dynamic behaviour instils confidence. On the track, instead, it boosts performance by limiting electronic control intervention and allowing delayed braking. The latest-generation electronics package on the Streetfighter V4 is based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) which instantly detects the bike&#039;s roll, yaw and pitch angles. The electronics oversee every part of the ride: some controls manage start, acceleration and braking, others handle traction, while some lend a helping hand on corners and out-of-the-corner stretches.

An S version of the Streetfighter V4 is also available. This features Marchesini forged wheels and Ohlins electrically controlled suspension (43 mm NIX30 forks and TTX36 monoshock) and steering damper. The latter use the second-generation Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 system which, in addition to making full use of the IMU 6D, provides a more rider-friendly interface.

    <title>New 2020 Ducati Panigale V2</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/ducati/news/new-2020-ducati-panigale-v2</link>
    <description>
The twin-cylinderPanigale has been given a thorough makeover.Renamed thePanigale V2, it takes a totally new design, it features sophisticated electronics based on a 6-axis inertial platform and, thanks to a more comfortable rider seat and the suspension set-up, offers better yet safer sports performance while making road riding more enjoyable and user-friendly than ever.Thename informsDucati twin-cylinder enthusiasts that the bike is powered by the 955 cm Superquadro.

The extensive fairing gently embraces the monocoque frame, highlighting the compactness of the Superquadro twin-cylinder engine to create a bike that is visually more compressed and less intimidating than the Panigale V4. Another key part of the Panigale V2 look is the single-sided swingarm and the new exhaust with extremely compact under-engine silencer and single-side end pipe. The clean lines typical of Ducati superbikes are enhanced by the traditional Ducati Red livery and black wheels.

The Panigale V2 thanks to chassis modifications combined with the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso CorsaII tires is more intuitive, agile and fun to ride, moreover a fine-tuning of the suspension hydraulic setting improve comfort in road use. Now Euro 5 compliant, the 955 cm Superquadro engine delivers even more power (+5 hp) and torque (+2 Nm). With a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm, the Superquadro Euro 5 remains true to its nature: as user-friendly on the road as it is powerful yet always under control on the track. Valve play checks every 24,000 km and services every 12,000 km or 12 months.

Not even the comprehensive, cutting-edge electronics package -based on the 6-axis inertial platform -leaves the rider in any doubt that the Panigale V2 has thoroughbred sports blood running through its veins. The new electronics package raises active safety and dynamic control standards by adding the cornering function to the ABS, upgrading the quick-shift so it now covers down-changes and including traction control, engine brake control and wheelie control.

As you&#039;d expect, all controls are incorporated in the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Street) and can be adjusted via the new 4.3&quot; colour TFT dashboard. Featuring a user-friendly graphic interface browsing menus, adjusting settings and identifying the selected Riding Mode couldn&#039;t be easier.
