THE 2026 HONDA CB1000GT: SPORT TOURING DONE PROPERLY

Honda has never been shy about building sports tourers, and with the CB1000GT it has come back to the segment with serious intent. This is a bike built on the CB1000 Hornet&#039;s high-revving inline-four platform, but transformed into a full sport-touring machine, fairing, panniers, electronic suspension and all,for a price that undercuts most of the competition significantly.

At 11,999 OTR, the CB1000GT arrives as one of the most comprehensively equipped sport tourers on the market. Both Blade Honda dealerships in Abingdon and Stratford-upon-Avon now have the new model available to order.

What Is the Honda CB1000GT?

The CB1000GT sits in Honda&#039;s sport-touring category alongside the Pan-European-era heritage of bikes like the VFR800, but brings an entirely modern approach to the job. Think of it as the CB1000 Hornet with a proper touring brief: a CFD-shaped half fairing to shield you from the wind, standard panniers to carry your gear, and an electronic suspension system that adapts to the road beneath you in real time.

The platform is the same 1,000cc inline-four that powers the Hornet,an engine with direct lineage to the CBR1000RR Fireblade, but the fuelling and mapping have been reworked specifically for the GT&#039;s role. Rather than the Hornet&#039;s more aggressive delivery, the CB1000GT prioritises smooth, accessible power throughout the rev range, making long motorway stints and fast A-road runs equally comfortable.

Honda&#039;s target here is clear: riders who want a motorcycle that can do a long weekend away without compromise, but still feels genuinely engaging on an empty morning B-road. Reviewers at both MCN and Bennetts have been impressed, with MCN calling it &quot;involving, practical, affordable and a thoroughly enjoyable ride.&quot;

Who Is It For?

The CB1000GT is aimed squarely at experienced riders who have outgrown the limitations of a naked street bike but want something that still rewards enthusiasm. The 825mm seat height and 229kg wet weight make it manageable for a wide range of riders, while 147.6 bhp means there is absolutely no shortage of performance on tap when you want it.

It is also a strong proposition for commuters who tour. This is a bike you can ride to work every day and take on a two-week European trip, the standard centre stand, heated grips, cruise control, and luggage make that a realistic prospect from day one, without spending another penny on accessories.

THREE THINGS THAT SET THE CB1000GT APART

1. Showa EERA Electronically Controlled Suspension,Standard

Most sport tourers in this price bracket ask you to pay extra for electronic suspension, or offer it only on higher-spec variants. Honda fits Showa&#039;s EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) system as standard on every CB1000GT.

Working in conjunction with the six-axis IMU, EERA continuously monitors road speed, chassis attitude and suspension stroke rate, from both forks and rear shock, and adjusts compression and rebound damping accordingly. The response time is 0.015 seconds. You can select from four preset modes (Standard, Sport, Rain, and Tour, which configures the dampers for two-up riding at sustained higher speeds) from the handlebar controls without stopping.

2. A Full Touring Kit,Included in the Price

The CB1000GT ships from Honda ready to tour. That means detachable panniers (37 litres on the left side, 28 litres on the right to accommodate the exhaust), heated grips, knuckle guards, a centre stand, and cruise control are all part of the standard specification. Nothing to add, nothing to tick on a configurator.

The seat has been redesigned with thicker foam and revised shaping compared to the Hornet, and the footpegs and handlebar position have been moved to suit longer days in the saddle rather than a more aggressive, forward-leaning posture. The five-position adjustable windscreen adds a further level of customisation, and Honda offers an optional tall screen for riders who prefer maximum protection.

3. A Fairing Designed by CFD, Not Compromise

Honda&#039;s engineers used Computational Fluid Dynamics to shape the CB1000GT&#039;s half fairing, optimising airflow management across a wide range of pitch, roll and yaw angles. The result is wind deflection that works whether you are sitting upright on a straight motorway, leant over through a roundabout, or pressing into a headwind on a cross-country route.

The nose section has a distinctive edged design with two forward-jutting points beneath the LED headlight cluster, with optional integrated fog lights available through Honda accessories. It is purposeful rather than bland, the CB1000GT reads as a sports bike first, a tourer second, which suits its character perfectly.

Engine, Performance &amp; Technical Specification

The heart of the CB1000GT is a 1,000cc DOHC inline-four with lineage that runs back through the CB1000 Hornet to the CBR1000RR Fireblade. Honda has reworked the fuelling and throttle mapping specifically for the GT&#039;s touring remit, the power delivery is smooth and progressive rather than peaky, with strong mid-range torque that makes it easy to maintain pace without constant gear changes.

Peak power is 147.6 bhp at 11,000 rpm with 75 lb ft (101.7 Nm) of torque at 8,750 rpm. The six-speed gearbox has been given ratios suited to the GT role, with second through fifth tuned for brisk acceleration and sixth a deliberately long ratio that keeps revs relaxed at motorway speeds. A bidirectional autoblipping quickshifter handles clutch-free up and down shifts on the move. Honda has opted for an assist and slipper clutch rather than the automated E-Clutch technology seen elsewhere in the range, perfectly functional for the GT&#039;s intended audience, and keeping the riding experience traditional for those who prefer it.

Honda CB1000GT,Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the 2026 Honda CB1000GT cost in the UK?

The 2026 Honda CB1000GT is priced at 11,999 OTR in the UK. Crucially, that price includes detachable panniers, heated grips, cruise control, a centre stand, and knuckle guards as standard equipment,a considerable amount of kit that would typically be added as paid options on competitor machines. Finance options are available subject to status; contact your nearest Blade Honda dealership for current offers.

What electronics come as standard on the Honda CB1000GT?

The CB1000GT has a thorough electronics package fitted as standard: Showa EERA electronically controlled suspension (with four presets adjustable from the bars), a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), five riding modes, throttle-by-wire, a bidirectional autoblipping quickshifter, cruise control, and Honda RoadSync Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration. It is, in short, one of the most electronically sophisticated bikes in its class at this price point.

Does the 2026 Honda CB1000GT have Honda E-Clutch?

No,Honda has not fitted the CB1000GT with its E-Clutch automated system, which is currently spreading through several other models in the range. Instead, the CB1000GT uses a high-quality assist and slipper clutch to reduce lever effort and suppress rear wheel hop under hard downshifts. Combined with the bidirectional quickshifter, gear changes are smooth and effortless without requiring the full E-Clutch hardware.

What colours is the 2026 Honda CB1000GT available in?

Three colours are available at launch: Grand Prix Red with Graphite Black livery, Pearl Deep Mud Grey, and Graphite Black. The Grand Prix Red is particularly striking with its two-tone finish echoing Honda&#039;s racing heritage.

What is the difference between the Honda CB1000GT and the CB1000 Hornet?

Both bikes share the same 1,000cc inline-four engine architecture, but the CB1000GT is purpose-built for sport touring where the Hornet is a naked street machine. The GT gains a CFD-designed half fairing with a five-position adjustable windscreen, detachable panniers (37L and 28L), Showa EERA electronically controlled suspension in place of conventional Showa forks, a redesigned and more comfortable seat, revised footpeg and handlebar positioning, heated grips, knuckle guards, and a centre stand, all standard. The engine mapping has also been reworked to deliver smoother, more accessible power throughout the rev range rather than the Hornet&#039;s more aggressive character.

<title>Calling the adventure curious: Honda Adventure Roads unveils a new accessible adventure riding format for 2026</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/calling-the-adventure-curious-honda-adventure-roads-unveils-a-new-accessible-adventure-riding-format-for-2026</link>
    <description>
Revised event format for 2026 set to open up Honda Adventure Roads to a broader audience with a series of skill-focused Trail and Off-Road Tours
Hondas mid-sized Transalp with Honda E-Clutch with Throttle By Wire (TBW) technology takes centre stage as the bike of choice for 2026
Two bespoke routes throughout the summer for riders to choose from
Continued collaboration with key partners including Honda official accessories, Enduristan, Alpinestars, and Dunlop

Honda is inviting a new wave of riders to discover their adventurous side as the brand evolves its renowned adventure program for 2026. With a focus on accessibility, skillbuilding, and pure twowheeled discovery, the upcoming season aims to attract the adventurecurious; those who feel the call of the trail but want a structured, confidencebuilding experience before tackling longhaul expeditions.

For 2026, Honda is shifting from its traditional epic, ultraendurance format to create a series of shorter, skillfocused Trail and OffRoad Tours across Europe. Designed to welcome younger riders, female riders, and anyone seeking to level up their adventure abilities, these new events offer a gateway into the adventure riding lifestyle without the route intensity of a full Honda Adventure Roads (HAR) expedition.

Whilst the format has changed for 2026, the key fundamentals that make Honda Adventure Roads unique remain, offering attendees a premium experience from start to finish with dedicated training and rider development, HRC rider presence throughout the trips, as well as luxurious accommodation, food and drink - all curated to the highest standards to give a lifetime of unforgettable moments.

2026: Accessible Adventure Across Europe

This years program will unfold across some of Europes most iconic riding regions - each offering worldclass landscapes and varied terrain perfect for developing offroad proficiency.

Event 1 June:Pyrenees Barcelona to Toulouse (11-14 June 2026)
Event 2 September:Alps Turin to Nice (10-13 September)

Pricing for both events is just 850, for the full, comprehensive package. Riders will only need to cover personal flights and spending money. Applications to join the adventure will start on the 18th Feb at 9am GMT.

The 2026 events will follow a 3-day format, offering guided Trail and OffRoad Tours designed to build practical riding skills in real adventure environments. Over an exciting three days, riders will enjoy the same premium, exclusive Honda shared experience theyve come to expect

Each event will be limited to just 30 rider places, ensuring a supportive and personalised experience. The programme is aimed at riders who are looking to grow their adventure riding abilities, with no previous Honda Adventure Roads experience required - though unlike previous years, past HAR participants will not be prioritised for the 2026 season.

This year&#039;s events will spotlight the Honda XL750 Transalp, equipped with the latest Honda E-Clutch with TBW technology. The mid-capacity adventure bike is the perfect partner for those riders trying Adventure riding for the first time. The Transalp is just as much at home slicing through an Alpine pass as it is kicking up dust on rough tracks. The addition of E-Clutch with TBW technology, from Hondas DreamTech portfolio, allows riders to start, stop, and change gears without the clutch lever.

To celebrate the addition of this technology, each event will feature specific DreamTech Challenges a series of activities like the Technical Climb, Adventure Flow, and Low Speed Technical Course are designed to demonstrate how E-Clutch helps riders free mental capacity to focus on line choice rather than clutch modulation.

    <title>Honda E-Clutch</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-e-clutch</link>
    <description>

Honda E-Clutch

The future of manual riding is here, and it still feels like a manual.

You love the feel of a gearbox. The connection. The control. Honda gets that, which is exactly why E-Clutch doesn&#039;t replace any of it. It just makes it better.

What Actually Is Honda E-Clutch?

Part of Honda&#039;s DreamTech family of rider-focused innovations, E-Clutch sits neatly inside a conventional six-speed manual gearbox. It&#039;s not an automatic. It&#039;s not Honda&#039;s Dual Clutch Transmission. Think of it as a very smart assistant, one that handles clutch operation whenever you want it to, and steps back completely whenever you don&#039;t.

A compact actuator inside the engine casing reads your inputs and coordinates clutch engagement, fuel delivery and ignition timing in real time. Press the gear pedal and the system produces fast, smooth, jolt-free shifts. Pull the lever yourself and E-Clutch instantly steps aside. Switch it off via the TFT display and you&#039;re fully manual until you decide otherwise.

At a Glance

Works within a conventional 6-speed manual gearbox

Adds just ~2kg to the overall bike weight

Available on 500, 650 and 750 series Honda models

Enhanced further with Throttle By Wire on 750s

Manual lever always available, E-Clutch just steps aside

How E-Clutch Changes the Ride

Three situations where E-Clutch makes a genuine, noticeable difference.

City &amp; Traffic

Stop-start commuting puts the clutch lever through its paces. With E-Clutch, pull-aways are smooth and stalling becomes a thing of the past. Hill starts? No drama. Slow-speed filtering? Far less tiring on the left hand. It takes the friction out of urban riding, literally.

Back Roads &amp; Twisties

On a great set of bends, the last thing you want is thinking about clutch slip. E-Clutch manages changes with precision so you stay focused on your lines and the road surface. On 750-series models with Throttle By Wire, it handles downshift blipping automatically, keeping things stable under hard braking.

Mixed &amp; Rough Surfaces

On the XL750 Transalp especially, E-Clutch works alongside the riding modes to add stability when the road changes beneath you. Advanced clutch management reduces rear-wheel hop over bumps and rough ground, keeping the bike settled and predictable wherever the ride leads.

Extra Intelligence on the 750 Series

On the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp, E-Clutch teams up with Throttle By Wire for an even more refined experience. TBW lets the system coordinate not just the clutch but throttle response and riding mode behaviour too, so every shift feels more natural in any condition.

The practical result: smoother pull-aways, better mid-corner stability, and downshifts that feel like they&#039;ve been rev-matched by a pro rider. All while adding just ~2kg to the bike, agility stays exactly where it should be.

750 Series: E-Clutch + TBW

Automatic downshift blipping for smooth deceleration

Improved stability entering and through corners

Reduced rear-wheel hop over uneven surfaces

Seamless integration with Sport, Standard and Rain modes

Weight penalty of just ~2kg over standard models

Is E-Clutch Right for You?

The short answer: probably yes, whatever stage you&#039;re at.

New Riders

E-Clutch removes one of the more stressful parts of learning, hill starts, slow-speed manoeuvres and pulling away in traffic. You build confidence in the ride itself, without the clutch getting in the way.

Experienced Riders

Don&#039;t write this off as a beginner feature. The shift speed, smoothness and 750-series stability benefits are genuinely appreciated at every level. Many seasoned riders who&#039;ve tried E-Clutch simply don&#039;t want to go back.

Returning Riders

Getting back into riding after a break? E-Clutch bridges the gap beautifully. Use it fully while you rebuild confidence, dial it back as your instincts return, switch it off whenever you&#039;re ready. The choice is always yours.

Come and Try It for Yourself

Reading about E-Clutch only tells half the story. The real proof is in the ride. We have E-Clutch models at both our Abingdon and Stratford dealerships, our team are always happy to talk you through the technology, answer any questions and arrange a test ride at a time that suits you.

Honda Street Range 20252026

Something for Everyone. Nothing Compromised.

No other manufacturer covers as much ground in the street motorcycle world as Honda does right now. From a sub-4,000 air-cooled single that makes you smile at every roundabout, through a family of Hornet streetfighters spanning 500cc to 1000cc, to a brand-new litre-class retro roadster arriving in UK showrooms right now the Honda Street range for 20252026 is the broadest, most technically advanced line-up the brand has ever assembled.

What binds these bikes together is a shared philosophy: brilliant engineering, honest riding dynamics, and a price that consistently raises eyebrows for the right reasons. Honda has pioneered the idea that every rider not just those who can afford the most expensive machine deserves a modern, well-built, properly enjoyable motorcycle. That idea has never felt more alive than it does today.

Below, weve worked through the entire range available at Blade Honda. Whether youre here to find your first bike, your next bike, or simply to understand what all the fuss is about read on.

New for 2026 Neo-Retro Roadster

CB1000F

1,000cc Inline-Four 122hp from 10,599

The CB1000F is a genuinely significant moment for Honda. After years of concept appearances most memorably the CB-F Concept at the 2020 Osaka Motorcycle Show the production version has arrived for 2026, and its worth the wait.

Styled around the CB750F and CB900F superbikes that powered Freddie Spencers AMA championship campaigns in the 1980s, the CB1000F wraps its technology in deliberately retro clothing: a round headlamp flanked by twin horns, flowing tank-to-seat line, and bold graphics that feel as fresh today as they did in Spencers era.

Under the skin lies the same CBR1000RR Fireblade-derived inline-four as the CB1000 Hornet, but completely retuned for character over outright power. New camshafts and longer 140mm intake funnels shift peak power down to 9,000rpm, making the full 122hp feel natural and usable rather than excitable. The result is a bike that pulls cleanly from low revs, cruises effortlessly at motorway speeds, and rewards longer rides as much as it does blast sessions on country lanes.

A six-axis IMU enables cornering ABS and wheelie control, while throttle-by-wire brings three riding modes plus two user-configurable settings. The 5 TFT with Honda RoadSync, Honda Smart Key ignition, and fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP front and rear suspension complete a genuinely premium package at a price that few rivals can match.

MCN Bike of the Year &amp; Best Naked 2025

CB1000 Hornet &amp; SP

1,000cc Inline-Four 150/155hp from 9,099 / 10,099

There are motorcycles that are good. There are motorcycles that offer good value. And then theres the CB1000 Hornet a bike that MCN named both Bike of the Year and Best Naked for 2025, and which genuinely redefines what 9,000 should buy you in the naked sports category.

Like the CB1000F, the engines lineage traces to the CBR1000RR Fireblade, but tuned here for explosive streetfighter delivery rather than retro character: 150hp, a broad mid-range, and a top end that genuinely surprises even experienced riders north of 7,000rpm. Fully adjustable Showa forks, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and a 5 TFT with Bluetooth are all standard.

The CB1000 Hornet SP (10,099) adds an hlins TTX36 rear shock, Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers with a radial master cylinder, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a further 5hp. In matte black with gold wheels and forks, its a bike that punches well above its price point. If youre considering the SP, its worth knowing the monthly PCP difference over the standard Hornet is typically around 10.

The Middleweight Sweet Spot A2 Restrictable

CB750 Hornet

755cc Parallel-Twin 91hp from 7,449 E-Clutch available

When the CB750 Hornet launched in 2023 it immediately became the benchmark for what a middleweight naked bike should be. The recipe was simple: a new, 755cc parallel-twin engine with a distinctive 270 crank (giving it a characterful uneven firing order), paired with a lightweight steel diamond frame designed entirely around agility.

For 2025 it gained a dual LED projector headlight and revised TFT menus. For 2026, it gains something arguably more significant: Honda E-Clutch. More on that below but the result is a bike that already punched above its class now able to appeal to an even wider range of riders.

Producing 91hp at 9,500rpm with 75Nm of torque, its a genuinely fast motorcycle with a spread of power thats friendly rather than intimidating right up until you ask it for everything, at which point the mid-range surge is properly exciting. The 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted forks and Pro-Link rear shock are class leaders. Its also A2-licence restrictable via an ECU rewrite at any Blade Honda service centre, and fully reversible.

Honda E-Clutch What Is It, and Why Does It Matter?

Hondas E-Clutch is one of the most genuinely useful pieces of new technology to appear on motorcycles in years. Introduced on the CB650R in 2024, it now extends to the CB750 Hornet, CB500 Hornet, and more for 2026.

Heres what makes it different from a quickshifter: its not just for upshifts. The E-Clutch handles every aspect of clutch operation pulling away from standstill, changing up and down through the gears, and coming to a stop all without you needing to touch the clutch lever. An electronic actuator reads throttle position, gear selection, and speed, then coordinates fuel cut and ignition timing for seamless, shock-free transitions.

The clutch lever is still there. You can use it any time you want to the system pauses and then reactivates automatically. Or you can switch E-Clutch off entirely via the TFT. It adds just 3kg to the motorcycle. On the CB750, it works alongside Throttle by Wire for extra refinement, particularly in corners and over rough surfaces. For city commuters, it transforms stop-start riding. For new riders on the CB500, it removes the single most common cause of stalling. Its the best of both worlds, in a very compact package.

Where E-Clutch Began Four-Cylinder Character

CB650R &amp; CB650R E-Clutch

649cc Inline-Four A2 Licence Showa SFF-BP

The CB650R is the bike where Hondas E-Clutch system was born. Launched in updated form for 2024 with E-Clutch as standard, a new 5 TFT display, and refreshed styling, it proved that the technology worked beautifully with a high-revving four-cylinder engine.

At its heart is a 649cc inline-four with DOHC and four valves per cylinder a proper small inline-four with a rev-hungry character that builds through the mid-range and keeps pulling to the redline. Its A2-licence compatible and positioned in Hondas range as the gateway into four-cylinder naked performance: more mechanical complexity and a sharper, more involving character than the parallel twins, but approachable enough for daily use.

The 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted fork and steel diamond frame deliver the same agile handling philosophy as the Hornet family, while the 5 TFT with RoadSync and HSTC traction control bring it fully up to date. Both standard and E-Clutch versions are available at Blade Honda.

The 500 Family Four Bikes, One Brilliant Engine

Hondas 471cc parallel-twin is one of the most proven A2-compatible engines in production. Reliable, smooth, economical, and genuinely fun it powers four very different bikes in the Street range. All are A2 licence compatible (35kW / 47hp), all have ABS, and all can be owned with real confidence.

CB500 Hornet

from 6,299 also available with E-Clutch

The newest member of the Hornet family, the CB500 Hornet takes the aggressive streetfighter styling and 5 TFT with Honda RoadSync down to A2-licence level. Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) is standard, as is a slipper clutch and full LED lighting. The E-Clutch version adds Hondas semi-automatic system for completely effortless riding ideal for city commuting or new riders building confidence.

CB500F

from 6,299

The CB500F is a pared-back, no-nonsense entry into Hondas 500 world. Same engine, same Showa SFF-BP inverted front fork, same reliability but with a cleaner, more traditional roadster stance. It has a 17-litre tank (larger than the CB500 Hornets), a stepped two-piece seat, and an ergonomic, natural riding position. Its one of the best-selling beginner bikes in the UK for very good reason: its genuinely easy to live with, and it stays interesting long after youve passed your test.

Style, Character &amp; A Different Kind of Riding

Not every great motorcycle is a streetfighter. Two bikes in the Honda Street range take a very different approach one rooted in retro scrambler style, one in the slow-burn pleasure of a beautifully made air-cooled single.

1960s Soul 2025 Engineering

CL500

471cc A2 Licence from 5,699

Drawn from Hondas original CL72 street scrambler of 1962, the CL500 is the most characterful expression of the 471cc twin. An upswept dual-exit exhaust, 19-inch front wheel, rubber fork gaiters, and rounded tank with knee pads make it one of the most distinctive-looking bikes in any class.

The development brief was Express Yourself and it shows. The CL500s proportions encourage customisation and personal expression, with a rich accessories range from Honda and an active aftermarket scene. It handles confidently on tarmac, copes well with light off-road work, and commutes easily during the week. Practical, beautiful, and completely its own thing.

MCN Best A2 Bike 2025 Made in Japan

GB350S

348cc Air-Cooled Single A2 Licence from 3,999

At under 4,000, the GB350S is one of the most extraordinary value propositions in motorcycling. Made in Japan to Hondas highest standards, its powered by a long-stroke 348cc air-cooled single producing 21bhp modest figures that tell you nothing about how rewarding it actually is to ride.

The secret is character. That 70mm 90.5mm engine architecture gives it an unhurried, deeply satisfying exhaust note and a riding style that encourages you to work with the road rather than charge at it. Economy is extraordinary around 100mpg in typical riding. MCN named it Best A2 Bike for 2025. For anyone who wants to learn, enjoy, or simply rediscover what motorcycling feels like when its stripped back to its essence, theres nothing quite like it at anywhere near this price.

Why Hondas Street Range Is Worth Your Attention

What makes the Honda Street range genuinely remarkable in 20252026 is the consistency of quality across every price point. There is no budget Honda that feels cheap. There is no beginner Honda that feels patronising. Every bike in this range rides, handles, and is finished to a standard that other manufacturers charge considerably more to match.

The introduction of Honda E-Clutch across the CB750, CB650R, and now CB500 range is a genuine step forward for the industry not as a replacement for the manual experience, but as an enhancement of it. The fact that Honda has made it optional and reversible says everything about their understanding of what riders actually want.

The new CB1000F is the most exciting single arrival since the CB1000 Hornet itself. A litre-class retro roadster with real engineering substance beneath the nostalgia a bike that stands confidently alongside the Yamaha XSR900, Royal Enfield Super Meteor, and Triumph Speed Twin without flinching on price.

And for those at the start of their riding life, the GB350S at under 4,000 and the CB500F and CB500 Hornet at 6,299 offer genuinely brilliant entry points. Honest, reliable, and rewarding the kind of bikes that build riders, not just passenger lists.

Come and see the range in person at Blade Honda in Abingdon or Stratford-upon-Avon. Our team knows these bikes inside out and can help you find the right fit whether thats your first motorcycle or your next one.

    <description>
New Honda CB1000GT High-Performance Sport Toure

Honda introduces a bold new chapter in its sport-touring line-up with the CB1000GT, a bike that fuses Fireblade-level performance with the refinement, comfort, and endurance required for long-distance touring. At a starting price of 11,999, this machine is designed for riders who crave both athletic prowess and premium touring convenience.

        Performance &amp; Engine

Under the fairing lies a 1,000 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine. Its derived from Hondas high-revving Fireblade lineage, but has been tuned specifically for smooth, usable power through the rev range, ideal for touring.

Maximum power: 110.1 kW at 11,000 rpm
Maximum torque: 102 Nm at 8,750 rpm T
he engine features Throttle-By-Wire (TBW), enabling precise throttle control and integration with the electronics suite.
Gear changes are smooth and less fatiguing thanks to a quick shifter and a wet, assisted slipper clutch.

        Chassis, Suspension &amp; Handling

What makes the CB1000GT especially notable in the touring category is its electronically controlled suspension. Using Showas EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) system, the suspension adjusts damping automatically based on riding conditions informed by a 6-axis IMU.

Front suspension travel: 130 mm
Rear suspension travel: 140 mm
The frame uses a diamond-style steel mainframe, offering a stable but agile platform.

This combination gives confident handling both when the bike is lightly loaded and when carrying a passenger or luggage.

        Brakes &amp; Wheels

Stopping power on the CB1000GT is provided by high-spec brakes:

Front: Twin 310 mm floating discs with Nissin 4-piston radial calipers.
Rear: Single 240 mm disc with a Nissin mono-piston caliper.
ABS: Two-channel Cornering ABS (leveraging the bikes 6-axis IMU) for lean-sensitive brake control.

Wheels are 17-inch cast aluminium, with 120/70-ZR17 front tyres and 180/55-ZR17 rear tyres.

        Tech Specs

Honda has designed the CB1000GT with long-distance comfort in mind, without sacrificing its sporty edge:

Seat height: 825 mm, making it relatively accessible.
Kerb weight: 229 kg.
Fuel tank capacity: 21 litres.
Fuel consumption: Approximately 6 L per 100 km, giving a practical touring range.
Windscreen: 5-position adjustable (81 mm range), allowing riders to tailor wind protection.
Seats: Rider and pillion seats are both well padded and vibration-damped for long rides.
Cruise Control is standard, making motorway miles more relaxing.

Electronics &amp; Ride Technology

The CB1000GT boasts a sophisticated electronics suite to balance sportiness and touring:

Riding modes: Four presets Standard, Sport, Rain, Tour plus a custom User mode.
Engine Power and Engine Brake: Each mode adjusts both, tailoring throttle and braking feel.
Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC): 3 levels + off integrated with IMU.
6-axis IMU: Used for lean-sensitive ABS and managing suspension via EERA.
TFT Display: 5-inch colour screen with Honda RoadSync, allowing smartphone connectivity.
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and auto-cancelling indicators help with safety and convenience.
Heated grips come as standard for added comfort in colder conditions.

        Design &amp; Styling

In design terms, the CB1000GT blends aggressive sport styling with touring sensibility:

It has a slim, muscular front end with aerodynamic shrouds for wind protection without bulk.
Split LED headlights give the bike a distinct and modern look.
The cockpit feels premium thanks to bodywork sculpting and a well-integrated windscreen.
There are optional accessory packs:

Comfort Pack: taller windscreen, extra seat padding, fog lights.
Urban Pack: 50-litre top box + alarm system.
Sports Pack: under-cowl, crash pads, tank stickers, wheel stripe kit.

        Rider Experience

The Honda CB1000GT is designed for riders who want a genuine sport-tourer that doesnt compromise on performance:

Touring riders who want a powerful engine but also comfort for long-distance trips.
Sporty commuters who value agility, high-spec brakes, and electronic suspension.
Experienced motorcyclists who appreciate a 1000cc inline-4 engine but need more practicality than a pure sportbike.
Performance-focused tourers looking for modern electronics (modes, IMU, HSTC) plus touring amenities like cruise control and heated grips.

Thanks to its balanced ergonomics (upright yet sporty), excellent fuel range, and advanced tech, the CB1000GT offers a refined but exciting ride experience.

Retuned Fireblade engine offers effortless everyday performance with a unique four-cylinder soundtrack thanks to extensive development work

Extensive specification includes Honda Smart Key operation, five-inch colour TFT with smartphone connectivity, LED lighting all round and much more

Honda has announced the expansion of its storied CB family, with the introduction of the 26YM CB1000F. The latest chapter in a long and illustrious story of performance bikes, the F is a retro naked inspired by icons from the CB back catalogue, particularly the AMA-spec CB750F of Freddie Spencer.

The bikes swooping style is pure 80s, a decade increasingly influencing contemporary popular culture in everything from music, style, clothing and more. The clean design of the CB1000F focuses on the essentials, with a strong connecting line flowing from the tank, through the side covers and seat into the rear cowl. Other retro influences include single round headlamp flanked by twin horns, the bold tank graphics, and a bespoke exhaust topped with a megaphone style muffler.

Powering the CB1000F is the proven CBR1000RR Fireblade unit, which has undergone a variety of development work to create a substantial change in character. Revised camshafts for exhaust and intake valve timing, as well as tuned intake specifications, help produce maximum power of 91kW @ 9,000rpm and 103Nm of torque @ 8,000rpm ensuring power is always available in everyday riding. These changes also give the CB1000F an evocative, unique four-cylinder engine sound as well as delivering enjoyable, well-balanced performance across the entire rpm range.

To ensure an all-round supple ride, 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks have been employed up front, paired with an adjustable Showa rear shock operating a Pro-Link linkage offer high-quality ride control and dynamic performance. Ensuring all round control, four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers work 310mm floating discs.

Juxtaposed against the outwardly retro look is a thoroughly modern and extensive standard specification. A six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) facilitates Cornering ABS, whilst Throttle By Wire (TBW) delivers three default riding modes to tailor the bike to any condition. With preset combinations of Power, Engine Brake, HSTC with integrated wheelie control settings, plus two USER options allowing the rider to tailor their preferred settings, the rider is free to choose the right mode for any kind of ride.

The optically bonded five-inch TFT screen offers intuitive usability, clarity even in bright light, and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity through the simple switchgear on the left handlebar, whilst a Honda Smart Key can be tucked away in a pocket for effortless operation.

Continuing Hondas commitment to reduce consumption of global resources and increase the use of more easy to recycle materials, the CB1000Fs rear fenders and seat base are made from pre-consumer recycled PP (Polypropylene).

Rounding out the CB1000Fs introduction to the European market is a range of Genuine Honda Accessories that enhance style, performance, and comfort. Available as part of carefully curated packs (Sports, Comfort, or Travel) or available individually, the CB1000F can be tailored to your exact needs.

    <title>Honda CB125F - Commuting made easy</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-cb125f-commuting-made-easy</link>
    <description>

Hondas perennially popular entry-level CB125Fs standard specification revolves around its low friction enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine that delivers outstanding fuel economy while maintaining strong 125cc performance. Equipped with Idling Stop for 26YM (the first time on a Honda manual transmission), EURO5+ compliance has also been achieved. Refreshed bodywork takes styling cues from a range of much bigger stablemates and equipment includes a new LED headlight and taillight, plus 4.2-inch TFT LCD display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and USB-C port. A centre stand and passenger grab rail are standard fit.

An entry-level 125cc motorcycle needs to be a multi-faceted machine. To some it represents the most economical way of getting from A to B, both in terms of initial affordability and running costs. To these riders it must be durable, easy to live with and economical: simple, trouble-free transport at its most fundamental.

But to many new riders a 125 is the start of their motorcycling adventure, their first real bike. So, it must deliver all the above, plus everything else that a motorcycle should the excitement, freedom and instinctive pleasure that two wheels bring to everyday life. Yet it also must be easy for a novice to manage as they learn, with a build quality and styling that instil tangible pride of ownership.

For any manufacturer, welcoming and introducing fresh entrants to their brand is important. The right initial experience can lead to a lifelong association, and the CB125F has long served this function for Honda a tough, user-friendly entry-level motorcycle that offers the perfect first rung on the ladder. The CB125F was a new model name for Honda in 2015; it maintained the previous CBF125s core strength of robust simplicity but built strongly on that strong foundation in terms of quality, ease of use and style.

In 2021 the CB125F was renewed once more, with a complete (lighter weight) refresh that made it even more desirable and cost effective. In 24YM it received a light update through a new muffler and pillion grab handle and now, for 26YM, it moves on again with updated styling, revised details and additional tech that owners will appreciate.

As ever, the CB125F remains a great bike to simply get you where you need to be, or from where to begin the ride and journey of a lifetime.

The CB125F is a serious small machine, whose original development involved the filing of no fewer than 19 patent applications.Completely updated in 21YM, it lost 11kg thanks to a new engine, redesigned frame and revised bodywork. For 26YM and expanding on its success the CB125F receives refreshed, sharper styling with a new, premium, headlight signature, plus enhanced specification and everyday usefulness in the form of a full-colour 4.2 TFT display, complete with RoadSync smartphone connectivity and USB-C port conveniently located near the handlebars.

Idling Stop technology has been applied and, as before, the air-cooled enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine offers a user-friendly experience, EURO5+ compliance, and outstanding fuel economy, all while maintaining excellent 125cc performance

The 26YM CB125F will be available in the following bold colour options:

Imperial Red Metallic

Matt Marvel Blue Metallic

Matt Axis Gray Metallic

    <title>Introducing the 25YM Honda CB750 Hornet</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/introducing-the-25ym-honda-cb750-hornet</link>
    <description>
Hondas hard-stinging twin-cylinder Hornet builds on its popularity for 25YM, with an aggressively re-chiselled face courtesy of an all-new dual LED projector headlight unit and cockpit cowl while a new five-inch TFT screen features new menu designs, and retains Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Carrying zero excess mass, class-leading power-to-weight ratio is delivered by a 67.5kW and 75Nm engine driving a 192kg package. The eight-valve parallel twin-cylinder unit delivers both top end buzz and strong mid-range usability, combining with an ultra-lightweight frame for supremely agile side-to-side performance and instant, riotous acceleration. Throttle By Wire (TBW) serves up three riding modes and three-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control, plus three levels of Engine Braking and Power delivery. Full Showa suspension comprises 41mm Separate Fork Function Big Piston (SFF-BPTM) USD forks and (revised) rear shock working through Pro-Link. New suspension settings for 25YM offer increased front end feel for a sportier and more enjoyable ride. Dual, radial-mount four-piston calipers bite hard. The indicators auto-cancel and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology is included. An A2 licence option is also available.

        Introduction

The original 1998 CB600F Hornet grew to be a hugely popular bike in Europe, for many reasons. Its compact, naked form was great around town, and it had the engine power and handling ability to carve a section of corners with joyous enthusiasm. Different iterations of the Hornet took it in the direction of sports touring and in the hands of Hornet Cup racers an outright race bike, while a 2007 upgrade added extra RR-derived top-end power and much more aggressive style.

Every individual owner had a reason why their Hornet was so good, but two things remained constant throughout its life and development:

It was great fun to ride. And the fun came with an affordable price tag.

23YM was the perfect time for a new Hornet to land a bike for the time and a whole new generation of riders. It had big tyre tracks to fill and serious competitors to contend with. None of which was lost on Hondas development engineers.

This background drove the creation of something quite special - the CB750 Hornet, a bike which took inspiration and direction from its ancestor but brought the celebrated Hornet brand right back to the cutting edge. And packed it with a direct injection of excitement and pure-thrill adrenaline.

With minimalist streetfighter styling led by the latest generation of creative minds in Hondas Rome R&amp;D facility, it was developed to attract younger riders looking for a serious move up. In a nutshell, Honda armed the CB750 Hornet with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio.

And, to keep things simple, three words can be used to sum it up: Fast, agile, fun.

For 25YM, the trademark Hornets svelte, taut styling is amplified through a newly developed, powerful light unit. Giving it a look of its own within the three-bike Hornet family, the CB750s dual LED dual projector headlight sits low and centered for a true streetfighter silhouette.

Revised suspension settings and a new five-inch TFT screen round out the changes, and bring the CB750 Hornets style and tech bang up to date.

        Model Overview

The Hornets engine packs a great deal of Hondas engineering prowess into a small space. Headline numbers: 755cc parallel twin-cylinder, 67.5kW peak power and 75Nm torque. With wet weight of 192kg it has a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 0.36kW per kg / 2.81kg per kW.

Compact, competition CRF-derived Unicam eight-valve cylinder heads employ downdraft air intakes and a Vortex Flow Duct to ensure optimal combustion. A 270 crank delivers feel and character; the primary drive doubles as balance shaft while an assist/slipper clutch manages a six-speed gearbox. Electronic rider aids thanks to Throttle By Wire (TBW) include three riding modes (plus USER mode), three-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control with three-level Engine Power and Engine Braking adjustment.

To maximise the engines potential, its housed in a steel diamond frame, which is extremely light weight thanks to optimisation of wall/pipe thickness and stiffness. For optimal agility and rider feedback, suspension is top quality: Showa 41mm SFF-BPTM USD forks and rear shock (with new settings for 25YM) operating through Pro-Link. Dual four-piston, radial-mount calipers stop hard while the tyres are sized to provide perfect levels of grip and agility a 120-section front matched to 160 rear.

The rich specification list is headlined by an all-new look, built around a low-set, centrally mounted dual LED projector headlight, tautly wrapped in a revised cowl that oozes streetfighter style. The CB750 Hornet now owns a style that is distinct from its larger and smaller siblings, carving out an identity all of its own.

Also new is the five-inch TFT colour display which supplies vivid information delivery and management of all systems, as well as the connectivity of Honda RoadSync system for both Android and IOS devices. Its operated, easily, by a four-way toggle switch on the left handlebar.

A range of Genuine Honda Accessories, including updated quickshifter, soft luggage, engine protectors and cosmetic enhancements are ready to go. New for 25YM are honeycomb pattern knee grip Tank Pads, Dark Smoke Instrument Visor, headlight stripe, stainless Radiator Grill and loud volume Alarm.

The 25YM CB750 Hornet will be available in the following colour combinations:

               Matte Ballistic Black Metallic

                 Matte Pearl Glare White
                 Digital Silver Metallic
                 Glint Wave Blue Metallic

        Key Features:

Engine

The parallel twin-cylinder powerplant packs a hugely enjoyable punch to give the Hornet its performance edge. Its designed for every rider to exploit to the maximum, with exhilarating peak power output, but also to deliver accessible low to mid-range usability perfect for the less experienced, and a major boost to the enjoyment of everyday town riding.

755cc, with an 8-valve Unicam cylinder head it pumps out 67.5kW @ 9,500rpm with 75Nm torque @ 7,250rpm. Bore and stroke is set at 87 x 63.5mm with compression ratio of 11.0:1. Compact and lightweight (and a configuration used by the MX competition-ready CRF450R) the Unicam head operates the 35.5mm inlet valves via cam, and the 29mm exhaust by rocker arms. Inlet lift is 9.3mm, exhaust 8.2mm.

For razor-sharp pick-up and throttle response patented Vortex Flow Ducts create a more uniform distribution from the side scoops into the airbox, which then feeds downdraft intakes and 46mm diameter throttle bodies. An aesthetic update for 25YM is removal of the breather tube which ran across the engine it has been re-sited for a much cleaner look.

The 270 crank and uneven firing order create a characterful, twin-cylinder pulse feeling. To make the engine as tightly wrapped as possible theres no balancer drive gear; the primary drive gear doubles up duties and spins the balance shaft. The water pump is tucked away inside the lefthand engine cover and theres no need for a water-cooled oil-cooler. The cylinders also use a Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide) coating, as also used in the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and CRF450R.

An assist/slipper clutch with oblique layout disc segments offers light lever feel, eases up shifts and manages rear wheel hop under hard braking and rapid down changes.

The catalyser has been upgraded and an SO2 added for forward looking legislative compliance. Fuel consumption of 23km/l (WMTC mode) offers a potential range of over 340km from the 15.2L fuel tank. A 35kW, A2 licence option is also available.

USER customisation option between the three levels

SPORT uses level three EP and level one EB and HSTC to deliver maximum performance with minimum intervention.
STANDARD mode is a mid-way setting that uses level two setting for EP, EB and HSTC.
RAIN mode employs the lowest EP setting, level one, for the least aggressive power delivery with level two EB and three HSTC.
USER mode allows the rider to choose between the three settings for each parameter and save the setting for future use.

        Styling and Equipment

The main signature of the Hornet is the fuel tank, which takes inspiration from the shape of a hornets wing. Everywhere you look, from the aggressively angled nose-fairing to the razor-sharp, minimal tail, there are hallmarks of tension and aggression, outlining true sporting intent. Up front the new headlight unit comprising dual high/low unified projector lenses is unique within the Hornet family. With a look of its own within the Hornet family, the LED unit is both more compact and more powerful than the previous design. The cockpit cowl has been tautly re-shaped to match, amplifying the Hornets aggressive streetfighter styling and conveying its engaging, sporty ride.

Usability, for all riders, is also inherent to the design. Seat height is a very manageable 795mm and the riding position upright, with slightly rear set footpegs for natural control and wide handlebars for leverage.

The new five-inch full colour TFT screen uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and backlight transmittance improved.

The IOS/Android smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync alongside a simple, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. All an owner has to do is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CB750 Hornet, and go.

To simplify and miniaturise the entire electrical system the Hornet uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) alongside a Body Control Unit (BCU).

The rear indicators have an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. At a minimum speed of 56km/h, with either brake working if negative acceleration of a minimum of 6.0m/s2 is detected, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process. At the same speed the threshold is reduced if ABS is activated, to a negative acceleration of a minimum 2.5m/s2.

Both front and rear indicators also auto-cancel; rather than using a simple timer, the system compares front and rear wheel speed difference and calculates when to cancel the indication relative to the situation.

        Chassis

The Hornets steel diamond frame is lightweight, at just 16.6kg (for comparison, the CB650Rs is 18.5kg). A major technological process of stiffener, main/down tube thinning, and pivot shape optimisation has produced a hugely strong platform, with rigidity balance to deliver feel and geometry set for agility just what the engine needs.

Rake and trail are set at 25 and 99mm, with wheelbase of 1,420mm and kerb weight of 192kg.

With a view to heighten sports handling performance (especially braking from higher speeds) Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BPTM) USD forks are clamped by Hornet-specific top and bottom yokes. With 130mm travel and by dividing the functions Big Piston pressure separation damper in one leg, spring mechanism in the other maximising both reaction over changes in road surface and the overall ride quality.

The rear shock absorber operates through the steel swingarm via Pro-Link and offers 130mm travel. Its design ensures excellent response and temperature management; it features 7-stage preload adjustment to match the forks.

Building on the Hornets raw sporting appeal for 25YM are the detail changes to the bikes suspension. Damping settings have been optimised front and rear to maximise the front wheels contact patch, for a more dynamic, sportier and engaging ride.

Dual front 296mm discs and Nissin radial-mount, four-piston calipers deliver impressive, fingertip stopping power, with excellent progressive feel through the lever. To further elevate handling and ride quality lightweight wheels use Y-shaped spokes. Front wheel width is 3.5inch wearing 120/70-ZR17 tyre, the rear 4.5inch with 160/60-ZR17 tyre.

    <title>Take a look at the 25YM Honda NC750X</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/take-a-look-at-the-25ym-honda-nc750x</link>
    <description>
Lets take a look at one of Europes favourite twin-cylinder all-rounders, the NC750X complete with its signature 23L internal storage receives a host of detail updates led by refreshed styling and revised LED headlight. A new five-inch TFT display allows smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync through a new intuitive and backlit four-way toggle switch on the left handlebar. Front braking is now taken care of by dual 296mm discs and two-piston calipers and the wheels are also a lightweight new design. Specification includes Showa 41mm SBDV telescopic forks and Pro-Link rear suspension and, as before, effortless acceleration is on tap from the torquey 745cc twin-cylinder engine, equipped with Throttle By Wire, three default riding modes and Three-Level Honda Selectable Torque Control. The popular Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) option also gets a low-speed response upgrade and an A2 licence, 35kW version is available. Looking toward enhanced sustainability the NC750X is also the first Honda to use coloured Durabio in the manufacture of two of the four crisp new 25YM colours.

        Introduction

Since its introduction (as the NC700X) in 2012, the NC750X has enjoyed consistent popularity throughout Europe. Reasons for the success are several: a ground-breaking, torque-laden, fuel-sipping twin-cylinder engine, a relaxed, roomy riding position with wide handlebars and comfortable seat, compliant suspension and distinctive adventure-inspired styling all play their part.

Other draws come in the shape of the novel storage compartment (where the fuel tank would normally be), which can hold a full-face helmet, and Hondas unique Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) that over half of European customers have chosen since 2021.

Viewed as a whole, the NC750Xs qualities combine to create a motorcycle which functions superbly for all types of riding: commuting, touring and simply for pleasure it has proved a motorcycle with compelling all-round appeal.

Honda has taken care to continuously evolve the NC750Xs successful (and unique) formula, with several upgrades over the years. For 2014 it gained a performance boost from the addition of 75cc to its engine capacity, going from 670 to 745cc; for 2016 a new more adventurous aesthetic, new instruments, DCT upgrades and LED lighting were added. For 2018 two-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and an A2-friendly 35kW version arrived.

In 2021 Honda built on the NC750Xs core strengths of practicality, do-it-all comfort and handling composure, by improving all three. At the same time, it gained more spirited engine performance, with an injection of extra torque and top-end zap, and a raised redline. It was also 6kg lighter, with 30mm lower seat height. The addition of Throttle By Wire, electronic riding modes and revisions to HSTC were the final polish of an extremely complete package.

For 25YM the NC750X continues its development path with increased use of sustainable materials in its manufacture, new styling, more technology, and refined DCT response and handling performance. It remains, as ever, a true Honda all-rounder.

        Key Features

The 25YM NC750X adopts a new dynamic, tough identity thanks to evolved upper and lower fairings with sharp creases and detail lines. Revisions to the fairings structure, and how they affix to the bike, also improve the ease of removal and installation of the fairings, and ultimately improve the overall ease of maintenance.

Other revisions to the NC750X include a new a new seat skin with added stitching, which amplifies the premium feel of the bike, and a revised muscular cover for the storage area that sits where the tank usually would. A new LED headlight provides the bike with a strong frontal signature. The screen also offers excellent wind and weather protection, whilst slim side panels, covers and a revised tail unit emphasise a mass-forward stance. To tailor the bike to individuals needs, a height adjustable screen is available as an optional accessory as is a new comfort seat, which uses additional urethane padding to provide a more comfortable ride.

This generation of NC750X makes increased use of the sustainable material DurabioTM (a bio-based polycarbonate resin), which has now been applied in the manufacture for some fairing parts, windscreen and other components. The NC750X is the first Honda to utilise coloured Durabio; with six parts employed throughout the bike in the Khaki and Black colourways.

A unique NC feature the storage area where the fuel tank traditionally sits has 23L volume and careful internal shaping allows it to hold an adventure style helmet. Theres also an optional USB socket, which can be installed - tucked away on the upper left of the compartment as well as an optional divider, which compartmentalises the luggage space for improved useability.

Premium technology, in the form of a new five-inch full colour TFT screen, uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and visibility improved. The display itself is customisable between Bar, Circle and Simple display patterns and offers smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync.

Honda RoadSync, alongside a new simplified, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar, allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls, listen to music or receive voice feedback of weather conditions. All an owner needs to do is download the free Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the NC750X, and go.

The rear indicators have an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. If negative acceleration of 6.0m/s2 is detected at a minimum speed of 56km/h with either brake working, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process. At the same speed the threshold is reduced if ABS is activated to a negative acceleration of a minimum 2.5m/s2.

A wave key features the Honda Ignition Security System (HISS). If the ID chip embedded in the key and the ID in the Engine Control Unit (ECU) do not match, the engine will not start.

        Engine Features

The design of the NC750Xs liquid-cooled, SOHC 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine ensures punchy performance in the low-to-mid range. Its relatively long-stroke architecture and specially shaped combustion chambers combine with the high-inertial mass crankshaft to produce large amounts of effortless torque from very low rpm. A forward cant brings the centre of gravity down for optimum stability.

Peak power of 43.1kW @6,750rpm is matched to maximum torque of 69Nm @4,750rpm. Bore and stroke are set at 77mm and 80mm respectively, with the compression ratio at 10.7:1.

For A2 licence holders a 35kW version is available, which can be easily converted to the full power version by a Honda dealer at the appropriate time. Equally, it is possible to restrict the full power version to 35kW by a Honda dealer remapping the ECU. An assist/slipper clutch reduces lever load and manages rear-wheel lock up under fast down changes of the manual 6-speed gearbox while decelerating.

Twin balancers counteract vibration from higher rpm inertia without affecting the distinct throb delivered by the engines irregular firing order and 270 phased crankshaft. Where possible components are made to do more than one job: the camshaft drives the water pump, while one of the balancer shafts drives the oil pump. By keeping the number of parts to a minimum in this way, the engine is kept light, efficient and reliable.

A lightweight pentagon-shaped muffler uses two chambers joined by a hole-punched link pipe, which works with a final resonator chamber to create a deep, distinctive sound and exhaust pulse. And the NC750X engine sips fuel with a measured consumption of 28.3km/l (WMTC mode) providing a near 400km range from the 14.1-litre under seat fuel tank. It also now has an OBD-2 sensor and new catalyser to optimise emissions for Euro5+ compliance.

        Engine Electronics

With TBW managing engine performance and character there are three modes for the rider to choose from for various riding conditions, with pre-set combinations of settings for Power, Engine Braking and Honda Selectable Torque Control (Sport, Rain and Standard). Mode selection is managed between the left-hand switchgear and the LCD display.

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) is fitted as standard on both the manual and DCT NC750X. It offers soft, intuitive control as it manages rear wheel torque thanks to TBW, over three levels:

Level 1 allows the minimum intervention for some rear wheel spin on gravel or dirt for instance.
Level 2 is the default setting and provides confidence-inspiring traction for general riding conditions.
Level 3 provides maximum control for slippery roads, and links to the new RAIN mode settings.

HSTC can also be switched OFF.

        Dual Clutch Transmission

Hondas DCT technology is now in its 14th year of production, and over 230,000 units of DCT-equipped Honda two-wheelers have been sold in Europe since 2010. It delivers consistent, seamless gear changes up or down and very quickly becomes second nature in use. It uses two clutches: one for start-up and 1st, 3rd and 5th, the other for 2nd, 4th and 6th, with the mainshaft for each clutch located inside the other for compact packaging.

The system delivers consistent, seamless gear changes and very quickly becomes second nature in use. It uses two clutches: one for start-up and 1st, 3rd and 5th gears, the other for 2nd, 4th and 6th, with the mainshaft for each clutch located inside the other for compact packaging. Each clutch is independently controlled by its own electro-hydraulic circuit. When a gear change occurs, the system pre-selects the target gear using the clutch not currently in use. The first clutch is then electronically disengaged as, simultaneously, the second clutch engages.

For the 25YM update smoother starting from standstill and control at low speed under 10km/h were the targets. This requires a quick yet gentle driving force at small throttle openings.

Surpassing the operating parameters of the previous generation DCT, the new version estimates the oil pressure of the clutch piston chamber and completely reviews the way feedback gain is applied rather than just relying on an oil pressure sensor upstream of the clutch piston resulting in improved, more delicate clutch response. Alongside the way TBW now opens from closed, the DCT also features a dedicated setting for extremely low speed running.

Consistent, fast and seamless gear changes are always on offer. As the twin clutches transfer drive from one gear to the next with minimal interruption of the drive to the rear wheel, any gear change shock and pitching of the machine is minimised, making the change feel direct as well as smooth. Extra benefits include durability (as the cogs cannot be damaged by missing a gear) impossibility of stalling, low stress urban riding, reduced rider fatigue and crucially the ability to concentrate more on riding lines, braking and acceleration points.

The DCT system offers two distinct riding approaches Automatic Transmission (AT), with pre-programmed shift patterns which constantly read vehicle speed, selected gear and engine rpm to decide when a shift should occur, and Manual Transmission (MT), for gear changes using the paddle-shift style triggers on the left handlebar.

Through TBW control there are four automatic shifting schedules available. Level One is the most relaxed, with upshifts and downshifts operating at relatively low rpm; it is linked with the RAIN riding mode. Level Four, on the other extreme, shifts up at higher rpm and also downshifts earlier for more engine braking effect; it is linked with the SPORT mode. Level Two is linked with STANDARD riding mode, with Level Three situated between STANDARD and SPORT.

The USER mode functionality allows the rider to select any of the DCT shift patterns with the preferred permutations of the other parameters power delivery, engine braking, and HSTC.

Improved starting/slow-speed response uses same clutch oil pressure estimation update as 24YM Africa Twin
Differing shifting schedules link with riding modes
USER mode allows choice of settings from smooth to aggressive

Tubular steel diamond frame, 41mm SDBV telescopic forks, Pro-Link rear monoshock adjustable for spring preload
New dual axial mount two-piston front brake calipers, 296mm floating discs and ABS
New, lightweight 3by3 wheel design for 17-inch front and rear

        Chassis

Core of the chassis is a tubular steel diamond frame; its both light weight and strong. The riding position is upright and neutral, with a high viewpoint for enhanced hazard perception. Another advantage of this adventure-style riding position is great low-speed control combined with the low centre of gravity and generous steering lock, the result is exceptional low-speed handling and balance.

Caster Angle is set at 27 with trail of 110mm, wheelbase at 1,525mm (1,530mm DCT) and front/rear weight distribution of 49/51. Kerb weight is 216kg (226kg DCT). Seat height is 802mm.

41mm telescopic forks employ 120mm travel and use Showa Dual Bending Valves (SDBV) with ratios optimised for both compression and rebound damping. This allows the creation of damping force in precise proportion to piston speed from the low-speed range improving ride quality and comfort. The rear monoshock features a spring preload adjuster system with 120mm travel. It operates through Pro-Link that offers an optimised balance of a soft initial stroke together with excellent control, for dealing with a wide range of riding scenarios.

Up front, the single 320mm wavy disc and two-piston brake caliper of the previous design have been replaced by dual two-piston axial-mount calipers and 296mm floating discs; offering confidence-inspiring braking power and confidence in all conditions. Rear braking is provided by a 240mm disc and single-piston caliper as before. Lightweight two-channel ABS provides powerful and confident braking even on slippery or wet road surfaces.

New 3by3 spoke cast aluminium front and rear wheels sizes 17 x 3.50-inch and 17 x 4.50-inch wear 120/70 ZR17 and 160/60 ZR17 tyres and save 1.8kg, negating the extra weight of the revised front braking system.

        Model Overview

Air-cooled, SOHC the 348cc HSTC-equipped engine produces 15.5kW peak power with 29.0Nm of torque, focussed in the low- to mid-range. But its also an engine long-stroke, with heavy flywheel mass tuned to feel exactly like a single-cylinder should, with character and sound thats unmistakeable. The wide-ratio, five-speed gearbox is managed by assist/slipper clutch for fuss free gear changes.

The GB350S is a bike made to navigate busy city streets with ease. The steel semi-double cradle frame provides stable, confident handling, the overall geometry gives a tight turning radius; both centre of gravity and seat height are reassuringly low. 41mm telescopic forks and twin rear shocks provide supple suspension, with braking taken care of by 310mm front/ 240mmm rear discs and ABS control. Wheels are a 19/17-inch front and rear combination.

Deliberately understated styling pays homage to Hondas illustrious roadster history with steel fuel tank, resin side panels and front mudguard, and stylish blacked out detailing on the engine and cycle parts. All lighting is LED, led by a circular headlight, while a compact analogue speedometer is at the centre of an attractive instrument display.

A range of genuine Honda accessories are ready to go for the GB350S, and include large and small saddle bags, a variety of screen options and engine side pipes.

The 25YM GB350S will be available in the following paint options:

           Puco Blue
                Gunmetal Black Metallic
                Pearl Deep Mud Grey

        Key Features:

Engine

Rich in character, the 348cc SOHC 2-valve air-cooled single-cylinder engine is a new design that, from the outset, looks to deliver soulful feel alongside engaging performance. The effort from Hondas development engineers was to create the right pulse from combustion energy and a high mass flywheel which the rider very much feels as a pleasurable heartbeat while minimising vibration. An extra main shaft coaxial balancer works in conjunction with the primary balancer for this purpose.

The air intake from the clean side of the airbox to the PGM-FI has designed to be straight, with optimised diameter to reduce intake air resistance, and a pipe length to generate powerful torque from low speeds. For stable air intake, the port is located behind the airbox with an intake route that runs beneath the seat and across top of the airbox. This design contributes to the strong low rpm performance and heartbeat of the engine.

The exhaust note was also factored in right at the start of development. The downpipe is double skinned while the muffler (chamfered for improved lean angle with 45mm diameter tail pipe) uses a single expansion chamber; the resulting sound is a distinct, characterful bass beat just right for a single.

Peak power of 15.5kW is delivered at 5,500rpm with peak torque of 29.0Nm arriving low down in the rpm range at 3,000rpm. Its architecture is long stroke with bore and stroke set at 70mm x 90.5mm and compression ratio of 9.5:1.

And while it has a classic look, a host of Hondas latest low-friction technologies like a 10mm offset cylinder, asymmetric con-rod and sealed crankcases are all built in to deliver optimum fuel efficiency. To achieve both oil capacity and reduced crankshaft oil mixing resistance in limited space, the sealed crankcase uses a bulkhead between the transmission chambers and crankcase.

A reed valve, located in the bulkhead opens and closes as crankshaft pressure fluctuates due to piston action, discharging oil from a piston jet (that cools the piston and lubricates the big-end of the con-rod). This is then passed into the transmission chamber, reducing friction thus improving fuel economy.

For optimum cooling efficiency the depth, thickness and spacing of the cooling fins has been carefully optimised. The work also adds to the engines presence and aesthetic. To cool the area behind the combustion chamber, an oil passage in the cylinder head covers the upper portion of the head, reducing temperature by 10%.

The five-speed gearbox uses wide gear ratios between first and fourth, to make the best use of the torque delivery around town, with fifth set for wide-ranging acceleration from 30km/low rpm up to cruising speed. An aluminium cam assist/slipper clutch reduces lever load by 30%, easing around-town riding and upshifts while controlling the rear wheel under braking and downshifting.

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) manages rear wheel traction, which adds confidence and peace of mind for all experience levels. The engine returns 40km/L (2.5l/100km, 94.1mpg) (WMTC mode); this gives a potential range of up to 600km from the 15L fuel tank.

Long stroke, air-cooled and characterful single-cylinder engine

Tubular steel semi-double cradle frame, box section swingarm
41mm telescopic forks, twin rear shock absorbers
310mm front disc, 240mm rear with ABS

        Chassis

Fittingly, a classic steel tube cradle frame provides just the right look for the GB350S. It balances longitudinal, lateral and torsional rigidity and draws out the suppleness of steel for perfect feel. The rigid swingarm is constructed from 60 x 30mm box section steel, for efficient torque transfer.

Rake and trail are set at 27/120mm, with 45mm fork offset and wheelbase of 1,440mm. Seat height is a very manageable 800m; kerb weight is set at 178kg and theres 168mm ground clearance.

The steering geometry, low centre of gravity, low seat height and wide pull-back handlebars make for stable yet easy handling. A 43 steering angle delivers a 2.3m minimum turning radius, for urban manoeuvrability. 41mm telescopic forks offer 106mm stroke and, with an eye on classic details, wear protective black rubber gaiters. Twin rear shocks also deliver 120mm travel and are nitrogen gas charged for enhanced damping control.

A single 310mm front disc is worked by a newly designed, and highly rigid, twin-piston caliper, the rear 240mm disc by single-piston caliper. Long-life friction material is used for the brake pads; the compact ABS modulator simplifies the hydraulic system for the rear brake. Wheels are elegant 14-spoke cast aluminium; the front ABS pulsar ring is minimised to accentuate the slender spokes and the 19-inch front is matched to a 17-inch rear. Tyres are Metzeler Tourance Next sized 100/90-R19 front and 150/70-R17 rear.

        Styling and Equipment

The GB350Ss outline is the very definition of a clean and simple Honda roadster, with straightforward, timeless style that harks back to the iconic designs of the past. The shaping of the fuel tank and resin side panels and the proportion between them are evocative, as is the low tuck-roll seat profile. Matching nimble front and rear mudguards are quality finishing touches.

Features like the distinctive circular headlight with three upper and centred lower LED bulbs and eye-shaped LED indicators add hints of subtle modernity and a unique light signature. And the blackout detailing which includes the beautifully finished engine (with its polished cooling fins), headlight surround, fork legs, swingarm, exhaust downpipes, wheels and rear springs make the classic lines standout even more.

Straightforward instrumentation is provided by compact, analogue speedometer offset from the ignition; a digital gear indicator is included as well as average/instantaneous fuel consumption, distance to empty and ECO indicator.

The rear indicators also incorporate an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. Under hard braking, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process.

    <title>2024 Honda CB125R</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/2024-honda-cb125r</link>
    <description>
Hondas uniquely styled Neo Sports Caf 125cc machine receives fresh styling touches and a new full 5in colour TFT meter - inherited from the CB1000R - which is controlled by all-new switchgear. Four new colours for 24YM further enhance the appeal and presence of the CB125R, the gateway to Neo Sports Caf ownership. Top level standard specification includes single-cylinder DOHC 4V engine, high-quality 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks, radial-mount four-piston front brake caliper operating with floating disc, plus IMU-controlled ABS.

        Matt Cynos Gray Metallic

        Reef Sea Blue Metallic

        Pearl Cool White

        Pearl Splendor Red

When embarking on a two-wheeled career, there are certain fundamentals that every rider looks for from their first motorcycle: an easy-to-ride chassis, with engaging real-world engine performance, and super-agile handling. Wrap those fundamentals, however, in distinctive, classy styling and add a host of premium specifications, and the result can be an extra special machine with which to begin a life on two wheels.

It was for new riders looking for this kind of package that Honda introduced the all-new CB125R in 2017. The smallest member of Hondas minimalist, bare-boned Neo Sports Caf family, the CB125R was launched alongside the CB300R and the flagship CB1000R, and represented a bold new, premium addition to the ranks of Hondas entry level machines.

In 21YM the CB125R received a brand-new, 4 valve engine and major front suspension upgrade, keeping it at the head of a competitive field, and at the top of many young riders wish list.

For 24YM, the CB125R is compliant with new EURO5+ emissions targets and the addition of an all-new 5in full colour TFT display, all-new switchgear and four new colours heighten the appeal even further.

<title>The new Honda CB1000 Hornet which turns the excitement dial up to maximum</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/the-new-honda-cb1000-hornet-which-turns-the-excitement-dial-up-to-maximum</link>
    <description>
For 24YM, the Hornet family has expanded with the introduction of not one, but two exciting new members. With the CB500 Hornet taking its place alongside the CB750 Hornet, headlining the trio is the new CB1000 Hornet which turns the excitement dial up to maximum. Powered by the 17 year model CBR1000RR Fireblades formidable engine, and designed as a potent cocktail of strong in-line 4 engine performance and ultra-sharp handling, the CB1000 Hornet delivers maximum riding fun from busy city block to twisting back road.

Designed in Japan, its transformative looks are driven by two words:AGGRESSIVEandPURE.Led by the piercing gaze of super-compact dual LED projector headlights, the Hornet-signature fuel tank with wings folded forward is broad shouldered up front but tapers radically to the rear, mirrored by the minimal seat unit that underlines the traditional narrow-waisted Hornet look. The new frame is also used as a design feature, but subtly blacked out like the tubular trellis-style rear subframe.

The CB1000 Hornets huge performance potential, high-quality specification, compact dimensions and refreshing new style make it a hard bike to ignore, especially for those riders with a mid-capacity naked bike looking for their next step up the ladder.

The 24YM CB1000 Hornet will be available in the following colour options:

Grand Prix Red

Mat Iridium Gray Metallic

Pearl Glare White

<title>New Honda Motorcycles: CBR600RR returns to model range</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/new-honda-motorcyclescbr600rr-returns-to-model-range</link>
    <description>
Hondas middleweight supersport jewel returns to Blade Honda, destined for road and track action. Its inline four-cylinder, 16V DOHC engine produces 89kW @ 14,250rpm and features an assist/slipper clutch and standard fit quickshifter. Throttle By Wire control derived from the RC213V-S along with addition of a Bosch 6-axis IMU delivers 3 default riding modes, plus two custom User modes for adjustment of Engine Power, Engine Braking, Wheelie Control and 9-level HSTC. Cornering ABS and Rear Lift Control are also part of the package. The chassis comprises an aluminium twin-spar frame, aluminium swingarm, Honda Electronic Steering Damper, 41mm Showa Big Piston USD forks and Unit Pro-Link

Showa rear shock. Dual, radial-mount four-piston front calipers work 310mm floating discs. Designed to deliver best-in-class aerodynamic performance, the aggressive styling includes downforce-generating front winglets. A full colour TFT screen completes the specification. An HRC Race Kit will also be an option, for circuit use only.

Like all bikes in Hondas supersport family, the 24YM CBR600RR will be available in Grand Prix Red HRC TriColour and stealthy Matt Ballistic Black Metallic.

The much-loved CBR600RR has an impressive and hard-won racing pedigree. It was piloted to FIM World Super Sports championship victory every year from 2003 to 2008, and again in 2010, 2012 and 2014. It won the Asia Road Racing championship from 2012 to 2016 and the All-Japan Road Race championship ST600 class from 2003 to 2011, and in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019. Its engine also provided the power for Moto2 between 2010 and 2018.

The 600RR departed from our showrooms at the start of 2017 as the trend away from supersport machinery towards naked and adventure models accelerated. In the intervening years, the middleweight sports category has seen a revival, and the model was reintroduced for 21YM in Japan and Thailand.

Now the time is ripe for the purest of all road-legal sports bikes to make its return to Europe. Loaded with cutting-edge MotoGP-inspired electronics and aerodynamics, the new 24YM CBR600RR is a rare, beautiful thing a free-revving four-cylinder motorcycling gem that exists in a class of one.

Born ready to carve an elegant line on the open road or closed circuit, theres no other riding experience quite like it.

<title>Honda Previews Details of World’s First Honda E-Clutch for Motorcycles </title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-previews-details-of-worlds-first-honda-e-clutch-for-motorcycles</link>
    <description>
Honda today released on its website information on Honda E-Clutch for motorcycles, the world&#039;s first* automatic clutch control system for multi-gear motorcycle transmissions, enabling smooth starting and shifting gears without the need for the rider to operate the clutch lever.

The Honda E-Clutch uses electronic control technology to provide instantaneous, fine-tuned clutch control for optimum performance in situations where the driving force changes, such as starting, stopping, and shifting gears, to achieve smooth starting and shifting more natural than a riders manual clutch operation.

To meet a wide range of rider demands, the clutch can be operated like a normal manual motorcycle gripping the clutch lever, even when the clutch is controlled electronically. This allows the system to be used by more riders of diverse riding experience and skills, who can concentrate on the fun of riding in more comfort.

As the lightweight and compact system can be installed without major changes to existing engine layouts, Honda plans to apply Honda E-Clutch to its FUN motorcycle models over time.

    <title>Honda EM1e</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-em1e</link>
    <description>
        23YM HONDA EM1 e

Hondas first EV for young European riders is here. The EM1 e: is equipped with a swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, delivering real convenience, and fun, emission-free urban transport. An in-wheel electric motor supplies the drive; usable range is 41.3km and top speed is 45.0km/h. Specification includes digital instrument display, underseat storage space, USB socket, pillion footpegs and rear carrier.

The EM1 e: is Hondas first two-wheeled electric vehicle for customers in Europe, following the announcement in September 2022 of the companys plans to introduce 10 or more electric two wheelers globally by 2025. It is also a notable first step towards meeting Hondas stated aim of carbon neutrality for all its motorcycle line-ups during the 2040s.

The EM stands for Electric Moped, and the model is aimed squarely at a young demographic looking for easy, fun, emission-free urban transport. It is compact, flat-floored, with smooth styling that marks out its difference and unique identity within the Honda range.

Perfect for short hops around town and making journeys to work or college efficient, quiet and emission-free, the EM1 e: syncs neatly with modern expectations for urban mobility.

And, as growing local legislation around parking in cities across Europe restricts the use of traditional Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), quite naturally the EV market is growing. Honda is now entering this space with a fresh, high-quality choice for both young riders and short-range commuters alike.

For a typical student, who might do a 30km total lap of the city during an average day, the EM1 e: is a compelling proposition: simple to ride and to handle, quiet, environmentally- friendly transport.

And the first of many.

Model Overview

Compact, easy to use and offering clean mobility with fresh new styling, most of the EM1 e: is conventional: steel underbone frame, telescopic forks, twin shock absorbers and disc front/drum rear braking are classic moped features.

Whats really new are the electric in-wheel motor and Hondas own Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, which can be removed for easy recharging at home using the bespoke charging unit.

The EM1 e: is fully equipped with digital dash, high quality switch gear, long floor area, underseat storage space and USB charging socket. It also features pillion footpegs, rear carrier and side stand for speedy parking.

Usable range is 41.3km with a top speed of 45.0km/h.

Also new is the sales method. To ensure customers do not have to take responsibility for the disposal or recycling of the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, the EM1 e: together with the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: and charger will be available based on a lease, rental or subscription scheme, depending on the country. This will give customers complete peace of mind throughout the life of the EM1 e: regarding both the continued performance of the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, and its eventual disposal.

The 2023 (23YM) EM1 e: will be available in three contemporary colour options:

* Pearl Sunbeam White

* Digital Silver Metallic

* Matte Ballistic Black Metallic

Honda EM1 e - Matte Ballistic Black Metallic

          Honda EM1 e - Pearl Sunbeam White

          Honda EM1 e - Digital Silver Metallic

        Key Features

3.1 Battery &amp; Charger

* Honda durability ensures over 2,500 charges are possible

* 160 minutes to charge from 25% to 75%

* 50V Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swappable lithium-ion battery pack

* 270W air-cooled charger for domestic use

The EM1 e: is powered by the 50V Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, developed in-house by Honda with the same relentless focus on durability, reliability and quality for which its internal combustion engines have long been known.

A single charge will offer a usable riding range of 41.3km or approximately 48.0km in ECON mode under Hondas internal test conditions (30km in WMTC Class 1 testing conditions) and the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: is designed to withstand different temperatures, humidity levels, impacts and vibrations.

As its name suggests, the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: is a swappable battery that can be easily removed from the EM1 e: for charging in the comfort of home. Operation is simple: the charger, complete with air-cooling fan, draws from a single phase AC100-240V domestic source and produces 270W maximum. Weight of the charger is 5.3kg and LED indicators show charging status in 4 segments. The Honda Mobile Power Pack e: itself weighs approximately 10kg and can be easily carried and replaced thanks to an easy-to-hold handle.

From zero to maximum, charging time is approximately 6 hours; from 25% to 75%, only 2.7 hours (160 minutes) are needed. Hondas famed durability means that the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: can be charged over 2,500 times (internal testing conditions**).

The in-wheel motor is rated at 0.58kW output and produces 1.7kW at peak. In ECON mode, output is set at 0.86kW. Top speed is 45km/h and the EM1 e: can climb a 10 angle with a weight of 75kg on board. ECON mode softens throttle operation and reduces top speed, extending usable range to approximately 48.0km.

3.2 Styling &amp; Equipment

* Digital instrument display and USB Type-A charging socket

* 3L underseat storage

* Rear carrier and pillion footpegs

Deliberately shaped to stand apart from its ICE siblings, the EM1 e: is slim and compact, blending a mixture of smooth, organic curves up front with a more angular, purposeful rear section.

A 12V battery powers the scooters systems and all lighting is LED. A simple digital dash displays all the information that matters concisely, including remaining battery charge percentage.

Theres 3.3L of storage space under the seat, and an inner pocket large enough to store a 500ml PET water bottle can be found on the left side of the fairing front; on the right a USB socket for smartphone charging is a useful feature. Theres also a handy hook to hang a bag from, and grab rails for the pillion passenger.

A rear carrier is also fitted as standard while the pillion footpegs fold neatly into the bodywork when not in use.

A useful 35L top box and rear carrier will be available as an optional accessory.

3.3 Chassis

* Steel underbone frame, telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks

* 740mm seat height, 95kg weight including battery

* Front hydraulic disc and rear drum, linked by CBS (Combined Braking System)

While a lot about the EM1 e: is new, its chassis is more familiar and all at once effective, reassuring, lightweight and tough with easy, confident handling the goal. Its supremely compact, just 1,860mm in length with a very manageable 740mm seat height. Ground clearance is a healthy 135mm and maintenance weight is just 95kg including battery.

The frame is a durable steel underbone design; 31mm telescopic forks are matched to twin rear shock absorbers equipped with double tube dampers. Rake and trail are set at 27/77mm against wheelbase of 1,300mm.

Tyres are sized 90/90-12 front and 100/90-10 rear. The front wheel is cast aluminium, the rear an aluminium/steel composite design. The brakes 190mm/single-piston caliper disc front and 110mm drum rear are linked by Combined Brake System (CBS) for smooth stopping control. When the rear brake is activated, CBS distributes braking power to the front caliper.

We all know public transport in the UK can be expensive, as well as occasionally unreliable and time consuming. First, there&#039;s the waiting time, then the stop, start, stop, start of a bus or train service can be monotonous and frustrating! By taking the journey by motorcycle, you could cut down the door-to-door commuting time. Plus, reports show that the costs of commuting via motorcycle (including fuel, insurance and road tax), may be cheaper too.

        More freedom, flexibility, and fun!

Not only could motorcycle travel save time when compared to the public transport commute, it also means you dont have to rely on other people to get to your destination. This is why so many people get motorcycles in the first place: the freedom of being able to do what you want, when you want. Youre free from the shackles of timetables and the dreaded delay messages over the station tannoy. Plus, when youre riding your motorcycle, the journey wont feel like a boring slog anymore. It just means you get to spend your mornings and afternoons doing the thing you love.

    <title>Honda Launch New CL500</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-launch-new-cl500</link>
    <description>
Hondas new CL500 strikes a rich retro vein, with inspiration from the original CLs of the 60s and 70s. Using the A2-licence compatible twin-cylinder engine of Hondas CB500 series, it applies a new tubular diamond-structure steel frame, long-travel suspension and 19/17-inch front/rear wheel combination to good effect. Its born ready for the rigours of urban travel as much as it is light off-road. The head-turning style is rich with details such as rounded fuel tank, knee pads, rubber fork gaiters and upswept dual-exit exhaust muffler with drilled heat shield. All lighting is LED, the dash a negative LCD display and four contemporary paint options make the CL500 stand out even further from the crowd.

Honda has a long history of getting smaller capacity bikes just right for riders around the world. A combination of easy usability, useful engine performance, affordability and distinct individuality equal motorcycles that, over time, come to mean so much to their owners.

The CLs from the 60s and 70s were such bikes, proving that a lightweight bike with off-road dynamics was great fun around town. Latterly, the high-barred, high-piped style has become an iconic signature for many 21st century riders.

Click forward 5 decades and in 2018 the A2 licence compatible CMX500 Rebel arrived in the Honda range. Its old-school meets new-school take on custom cool was an instant hit and extremely customisable. And as a package engine, chassis and styling its proved irresistible to a legion of young riders and has quietly got on with the business of being the top-selling custom bike in Europe for the last two years.

Five years later its time for something new and for 23YM Honda has, once again, a bike proudly wearing the CL badge - for riders who like to be that bit different. The CL500 draws heavily on the formula of the original CLs. Its got the right look, the right engine and the durability to go with the urban rough and tumble. And, as for customisation, an owners imagination is all thats required. With this bike there is no limit.

Mr. Hiroshi Furuse, Large Project Leader (LPL), CL500 Honda R&amp;D Japan:

We developed the CL500 as a machine that truly allow its owners to stand out from the crowd, and as a form of self-expression. It can be used and enjoyed casually without hesitation by the young generation in their daily lives and is designed to become a joyful and integral part of a lifestyle. In standard form, the off-road street style has a visual charm unlike any other model in the Honda range, and can really inspire owners to take it further in any direction they wish.

The 23YM CL500 will be available in the following colour options:

        Candy Energy Orange

        Mat Laurel Green Metallic

        Honda CL500

The development concept used from the start of the CL500 project has been Express Yourself. Deliberately targeting a young, style-conscious demographic, its a bike designed to fit neatly into an owners lifestyle with the ability to handle the daily commute, a long weekend ride, or even some light off-road - and to catch the eye while doing it.

Of course, and just as it should be for the younger rider, its also eminently customisable and there are a range of genuine Honda accessories ready to go that elevate personality, practicality and style.

The 471cc parallel twin-cylinder engine is Hondas lively and popular A2 licence compatible powerplant that produces 34.3kW of power and a healthy 43.4Nm of torque. It has unique ECU settings for CL duty, and short final drive gearing serves up smart around-town acceleration both from a standing start and through the gears. The six-speed gearbox is managed by assist/slipper clutch.

The tubular steel trellis-style main frame is both a style statement and foundation of easy handling. Long-travel suspension comprises 41mm telescopic forks and adjustable rear shock while the wheels 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wear block-pattern tyres. The

brakes front and rear feature ABS modulation specifically balanced for excellent performance on a variety of surfaces, including light off-road.

All lighting is LED, the instrument panel a compact negative LCD, and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology operates the rear indicators as hazard lights under sudden, hard braking.

Key Features

Styling &amp; Equipment

Styling simple and raw, just like the original CL
790mm seat height gives easy ground reach and legroom
Negative display LCD dash and underseat helmet holder
Full LED lighting and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology for the rear indicators

Simple, Raw and Tough were the three words that set the tone and direction for the CL500s styling team. The street scrambler style looks right wherever it rolls with the added benefit of ergonomics that make for a bike thats very easy to ride in a variety of situations.

The combination of the clean, round fuel tank shape and upswept muffler - with stainless steel heat shield - strike the nostalgia chords hard. And all the lovingly-crafted details - the tank pads and rubber fork gaiters, the wadded, smooth outer seat skin with embossed Honda logo, high-level handlebars - combine to create a look that oozes charm. The paint options, all set against blacked out engine and chassis, make each colour pop vibrantly.

Seat height of 790mm alongside a slim mid-section offers easy ground reach and ample legroom. Its also designed with sides that cover the frame rails for standing up and low rear section for easy pillion access. It also detaches easily with the ignition key and, tucked away, a helmet holder.

The high handlebars not only look good, theyre angled precisely to provide leverage both when standing up or sitting down, with off-road style grips and internal weights to reduce fatigue. The tanks pads provide another contact point for the legs when standing; steel footpegs are wide with rubber inserts for comfort.

The low-set 175mm diameter headlight has classic form but houses four LED bulbs with thick inner lenses for a distinctive frontal signature. Small, 55mm circular LED indicators feature classic looks and sit either side of a thin, ovalized LED taillight.

A neat, 100mm diameter circular display houses the negative LCD dash. Simple and uncluttered information delivery includes gear position indicator, fuel consumption and individual indicator arrows.

Hard, sudden braking operates the standard equipment Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) which flashes the rear indicators to alert road users behind, before auto-cancelling.

With fuel economy of 27.7km/L a 12L capacity delivers potential range of over 300km.

        Chassis

Tubular diamond-structure steel frame
41mm telescopic forks and twin, spring preload adjustable rear shocks
Two-piston front brake caliper working a 310mm floating disc
ABS balanced for light off-road
19-inch front/17-inch rear combination

The tubular diamond-structure steel frame provides the handling ability, ride comfort and foundation of style for the CL500. Its beautifully simple, with strong tubes and loop-shaped rear subframe. Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) was employed to get the rigidity and weight balance optimised perfectly.

A scrambler-style bike has to cope with it all from rough city streets to uneven dirt roads and the goal for the chassis was to create light, responsive handling with suspension that can absorb the hits.

Ground clearance is 155mm; rake is set at 27 with trail of 108mm and 1,485mm wheelbase. Kerb weight is 192kg.

Up front, 41mm telescopic forks feature 150mm travel and wear classic black fork gaiters. While adding period style they also protect the legs and seals from dust and damage. The top and bottom yokes are CL-specific and enhance steering accuracy and feel. At the rear, an elegantly simple swingarm uses 45mm round tubing to muscular effect. Long-stroke twin rear shocks offer 145mm travel and 5-step spring preload adjustment (3 up from standard, 1 down). Damping at both ends is set to deliver a supple, comfortable ride no matter the road surface.

A two-piston front caliper works a 310mm floating disc through sintered pads. The hydraulic pressure between the front and rear single-piston caliper/240mm disc is balanced to provide hlgh levels of braking control on a wide range of surfaces. The ABS too is optimised for use on dirt tracks as well as asphalt.

The wheels are a 19-inch front/17-inch rear combination for confident grip and light handling across varying terrain. Tyres are deep-groove Dunlop Mixtours, sized 110/80 R19 front and 150/70 R17 rear.

        Engine

471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine, A2 licence compatible
Unique PGM-FI settings and shorter final drive gearing
Assist/slipper clutch for rear wheel control
Iconic upswept twin-exit exhaust muffler

The CL500s 471cc 8-valve, liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine is smooth, easy to use and thoroughly engaging. The hugely popular and durable unit has made its reputation in Hondas CB(R)500 series and the CMX500 Rebel. For the CL500, it features revised PGM-FI fuel injection mapping, and a new intake and exhaust setup that deliver the engaging torque of 43.4Nm @ 6,250rpm and peak power of 34.3kW @ 8,500rpm. For crisper acceleration through each gear the rear sprocket uses 41 teeth, versus the 40 used by the Rebel.

Its a power unit that strikes a great balance between physical size and flexible output, with a willing delivery of both mid-range torque and top end power that has made it one of Hondas most-loved engines. Bore and stroke is set at 67mm x 66.8mm with compression ratio of 10.7:1. Internally the cylinder head uses roller rocker arms; shim-type valve adjustment allows them to be light, for lower valve-spring load and reduced friction.

A silent (SV Chain) cam chain has the surface of its pins treated with Vanadium, reducing friction with increased protection against dust. Friction is further reduced by the addition of striations on the piston skirt (a finish that increases surface area, introducing gaps in which oil can flow for better lubrication).

The crankshaft pins are phased at 180 and a primary couple-balancer sits behind the cylinders, close to the bikes centre of gravity. The balancer gears use scissor gears, reducing noise. The crank counterweight is specifically shaped for couple-balance and its light weight allows the engine to spin freely, with reduced inertia. Inlet valve diameter is 26.0mm with exhaust valve diameter of 21.5mm.

The crankcases use centrifugally cast thin-walled sleeves. Their internal design reduces the pumping losses that can occur with a 180 phased firing order. A deep oil sump holds 3.2L.

Slick to use up or down, the six-speed gearbox is designed to offer effortless changes, especially around town. An assist/slipper clutch helps with rear wheel control, lightens the lever operation load and reduces rider fatigue.

In iconic CL style the exhaust twin-pipe muffler is upswept and fed by 2-1 downpipes. The note is tuned for heavier low-frequency sound compared to the Rebel, with a similar pulsing feel.

        Accessories

A full range of Genuine Honda accessories are available for the CL500, ready for personalisation to an owners preference.

The rear subframe is designed for easy fitment of cosmetic parts and the soft rear panniers; a rear rack also mounts the 38L top box. Theres also the option of a 30mm higher seat finished in brown with black double stitching for taller riders.

Cosmetic additions to add classic off-road style include lightweight polypropylene side number boards, fly screen, knuckle guards and high front mudguard. Practical items include heated grips, ACC charging socket and rear shock covers.

For convenience, three specially designed packs are ready to go:

ADVENTURE PACK

Knuckle guards, high front mudguard, rear shock cover, and rally footpegs.

    <title>The Honda Transalp returns</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/the-honda-transalp-returns</link>
    <description>
        Hondas brand-new XL750 Transalp

Around town or around the world, Hondas brand-new XL750 Transalp carries the adventure forward from the iconic original, ready for a fresh generation of riders looking to travel wherever the road leads. Its eight-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers 67.5kW and 75Nm; Throttle By Wire (TBW) serves up 4 default riding modes plus User option, 5-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control and 3 levels of Engine Braking and Power. The steel frame wears full Showa suspension: 43mm SFF-CATM USD forks and rear shock working through Pro-Link. Dual, two-piston calipers bite hard up front and 21/18-inch wheels wear tubed tyres. The premium specification includes 5-inch colour TFT instrument display, with Honda Smartphone Voice Control, full LED lighting, auto-indicator cancel and Emergency Stop Signals (ESS) technology. An A2 licence option will also be available.

        XL750 Transalp

Simply put, the XL750 Transalp is a brilliant all-rounder and leaves only one question unanswered. How far do you want to go?

The original Transalp, introduced in 1986 with a 583cc V-Twin engine, is something of a legend. And as testament to the sheer quality of its build and timelessness of its design, many can still be seen on Europes roads today.

Back then, its focus was as a smooth, comfortable do-it-all crossover that could cope with rougher ground thanks to long-travel suspension and light off-road dynamic. By 2000 the engine had grown to 647cc and, for the last version in 2008 it landed with 680cc, fuel injection and a 214kg kerb weight.

The Adventure segment has expanded massively since the Transalp first turned a wheel. Honda has the superb pocket-adventurer, A2-compatible CB500X plus the dual purpose, super-athletic CRF1100L Africa Twin adventure flagship and its long-range continent-crossing sibling, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. Which means there is room in the mid-capacity sector of Hondas range for a model to attract customers with a different set of adventurous aspirations.

This is just what the new XL750 Transalp is built to do, and a legend of adventure touring is thus reborn.

        Engine

755cc, 8-valve Unicam parallel twin-cylinder engine with 270 crank
5kW @ 9,500rpm, 75Nm torque @ 7,250rpm and 35kW A2 licence option
Transalp-specific TBW mapping for touring focus
Patented Vortex flow intake ducts and tuned exhaust note
Assist/slipper clutch

Starting from a clean piece of paper, Hondas development engineers set out to build a brand new twin-cylinder engine to power both the street fighting CB750 Hornet and adventuresome XL750 Transalp.

The resulting 755c, 8-valve Unicam unit has bore and stroke set at 87 x 63.5mm, with compression ratio of 11.0:1. It produces a hard hit of top end power, with maximum output of 67.5kW @ 9,500rpm. This is accompanied by mountains of usable torque in the low to mid rpm range, rising to a peak of 75Nm @ 7,250rpm. The result is an engine that provides usable, enjoyable performance for rides of all types and all distances, and for riders of all experience levels.

The new engine is extremely compact and lightweight, due in no small part to the Unicam head (as used by the MX competition ready CRF450R) which operates the 35.5mm diameter inlet valves (with 9.3mm lift) via cam, and 29mm diameter exhaust (with 8.2mm lift) by rocker arm.

The compact dimensions are also due to clever packaging: theres no balancer drive gear since the primary drive gear doubles up duties and also spins the balance shaft; the water pump is tucked away inside the lefthand engine cover and theres no need for a water-cooled oil-cooler.

For razor-sharp pick-up and throttle response, patented Vortex flow ducts create a more uniform distribution from the side scoops into the airbox, which then feeds downdraft intakes and 46mm diameter throttle bodies. The cylinders use a Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide) coating, as used on the CRF450R and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, to increase the engines efficiency.

The crank uses a 270 firing order for characterful, twin-cylinder pulse feeling. The exhaust note is tuned for a pleasing low-end beat and raucous top-end howl.

While mechanically identical, the Transalps engine TBW settings are tuned differently to focus on an engine flavour in keeping with the long distance, touring work for which the Transalp will be the ideal machine.

An assist/slipper clutch with F.C.C Leaning Segment (FLS) discs reduces clutch drag torque by 30%, for a lighter lever load and easier up shifts. It also manages rear wheel hop under hard braking and rapid down changes.

Fuel consumption of 23.km/l (WMTC mode) offers a potential range of 390km from the 16.9L fuel tank. And just like the Hornet, a 35kW, A2 licence option will also be available through a quick ECU remap at a Honda dealer.

Styling &amp; Equipment

Fairing and bodywork balance aerodynamic wind protection, on-road comfort and off-road ability
Practicality from 850mm seat height, USB socket and rear carrier
Premium feel of a 5-inch full colour TFT screen with Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCs)
Full LED lighting and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology for the rear indicators

In imagining the perfect lines for the Transalps bodywork, the Rome R&amp;D designers aim was to strike a balance between aerodynamic performance and wind protection at speed matched to a sense of lightness and freedom at low speeds. The concept tagline used throughout was Friendly Toughness.

The result is sleek, simple and clean bodywork. It has a purposeful look and feel, with zero excess and is built tough. For open visibility forward and excellent wind deflection the screens height has been carefully optimised. Its compact width also minimises turbulence from trapped air. A tall screen and upper/lower around the front and side of the screen deflectors will be available as accessories.

This bike is built to go the distance, so genuine comfort also for two matters. Seat height is low for the class at 850mm (an 820mm low seat is also available as an option) and the riding position is upright for natural control and leverage. The riding geometry also works well when standing up. A rear carrier is standard and theres a USB socket under the seat.

The instruments comprise a 5-inch, full colour high-visibility TFT screen, which offers four types of speed/rpm display 3 analogue rev-counter styles and 1 bar according to rider preference as well as fuel gauge and consumption, riding mode selection and engine parameters, gear selected and customisable shift-up point on the rev-counter. Management is via the screen and switchgear on the left handlebar.

Also incorporated into the interface is the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system, which links the rider to their Android while on the move and allows voice management of phone calls, messages, music and navigation. Several of the HSVCs functions will also be accessible on IOS smartphones. A helmet-mounted headset is needed, and the smartphone connects to the dash via Bluetooth; management of Honda Smartphone Voice control is also possible using buttons the left switchgear.

To simplify and miniaturise the entire electrical system the Transalp uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) alongside a Body Control Unit (BCU). The BCU is sited on the left-hand frame rail, under the fuel tank and collectively processes control signals from the ABS modulator, TFT screen and switch gear.

All lighting is LED. The rear indicators feature an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function. At a minimum speed of 56km/h with either brake working, if negative acceleration of a minimum of 6.0m/s2is detected, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process. At the same speed the threshold is reduced if ABS is activated, to a negative acceleration of a minimum 2.5m/s2.

They also auto-cancel; rather than using a simple timer, the system compares front and rear wheel speed difference and calculates when to cancel the indication relative to the situation.

Chassis

Lightweight 18.3kg steel diamond frame with integrated subframe
Showa 43mm SFF-CA USD forks and Pro-link rear shock; both spring preload adjustable
Two-piston front calipers/310mm wave discs; single piston caliper/256mm rear disc
21/18-inch wheel combination wearing 90/90-21/150/70-18 front and rear tyres

The steel diamond mainframe is lightweight, at just 18.3kg 10% lighter than the frame of the CB500X. A major R&amp;D process of reducing the number of reinforcing parts, thinning of the main and down tubes, and optimisation of the upper shock mount and swingarm pivot shape has produced a hugely strong platform, with rigidity balanced to deliver feel to the rider across all conditions and geometry set to inspire confident handling agility. The integrated heavy-duty subframe employs high-tension steel pipework for strength and toughness.

Rake and trail are set at 27 and 111mm, with wheelbase of 1560mm and kerb weight of 208kg. Slow speed U-turns are easy thanks to a 42 steering angle and 2.6m minimum turning circle.

The suspension specifications have been selected with the all-round concept firmly in mind, with long travel and superb bump absorption to deliver smooth performance and comfort on-road, and reassuring control off-road. Showa 43mm SFF-CATM (Separate Function Fork-Cartridge) USD forks offer 200mm travel with spring preload adjustment, and mount by a forged aluminium bottom yoke and cast aluminium top yoke, for a perfect balance of strength and rigidity in wide-ranging riding situations.

With 190mm travel the remote reservoir Showa shock (with adjustable preload) operates through Pro-Link and the swingarm which, while employing the same castings as the CRF1100L Africa Twins, uses aluminium material exclusive to the Transalp. Ground clearance is 210mm.

Compact, two-piston calipers work dual 310mm wave discs. The rear 256mm wave disc is operated by a single-piston caliper. 21/18-inch front rear (stainless steel) spoked wheels wear (tubed) 90/90-21 and 150/70-18 tyres; Metzeler Karoo Street or Dunlop Mixtour.

Engine Electronics

There is also a specific USER mode that allows the rider to fine tune their own personal settings

There are 4 levels of Engine Power (EP), 3 levels of Engine Brake (EB), 2 levels of ABS, and 5 levels of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) available; HSTC and rear ABS can also be switched off. The riding modes offer different combinations of each parameter. Wheelie Control is also standard and integrated to HSTC.

SPORT mode offers maximum performance and uses level 4 EP, level 2 ABS and level 1 EB and HSTC to deliver strong acceleration with minimum intervention.

STANDARD mode is a mid-way setting for urban riding that uses level 3 setting for EP and HSTC, with level 2 EB and ABS.

RAIN mode is designed for challenging on-road conditions and employs the lowest EP setting, level 1, for the least aggressive power delivery with level 2 EB and ABS and 5 HSTC.

GRAVEL mode features level 2 EP, level 3 EB, and level 4 HSTC with level 1 ABS setting for confident travel on rougher terrain off road.

USER mode allows the rider to choose between settings 1-4 EP, 1-5 HSTC and 1-3 EB plus rear ABS switch off, and save them for future use.

    <title>Honda Launch New Honda CB750 Hornet</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/honda-launch-new-honda-cb750-hornet</link>
    <description>
        A versatile trend setter

Described as the perfect all-round naked motorbike, men and women, novices and racers, all jumped on the Hornet as soon as it launched. It could be mastered very quickly with no previous biking experience. At the other end of the scale, the marque kicked off its own one-make race series, the Honda Hornet Cup, in 1999.

        MY23 Honda CB750 Hornet

        HISTORY OF THE HORNET

        1998

Honda launched a brand new biking trend with the Hornets cutting-edge naked streetfighter looks, crisp responsive handling and a powerful inline-4 engine capable of thrilling acceleration all at a tempting price.

        2003
Relaunched with an updated look and features based on rider feedback, the Hornet stuck close to its bloodline but with a more aggressive angled design, stiffer suspension, a bigger tank for range, and cleaner emissions.

        2007

The advanced new Hornet was completely redesigned by Hondas Italian team, with a sharpened naked style and a serious engine upgrade, while retaining its sporty but easy to ride character.

        2011

Once again revised with a brilliant new headlight and LCD displays, the Hornets evolutionary advancement always stayed true to the Hornet values of accessibility and innovation spiced up with excitement and fun.

        Rebirth of a legend

High-performance, flexible and fun, the Honda Hornet launched in Europe in 1998 and raced straight to the front of the sports naked field. The undisputed pioneer in its class, the Hornets popularity was fuelled by the rise of the internet where sports minded Hornet enthusiasts formed loyal communities known as the Swarm. Now the Hornet buzzes back...

Honda CB750 Hornet - Pearl Glare White
Honda CB750 Hornet - Matte Goldfinch Yellow
Honda CB750 Hornet - Graphite Black
Honda CB750 Hornet - Matte Iridium Grey Metallic

        Shake Up The Hive

Forget the expected. Its time for a new generation to shake things up. Start with a brand-new engine producing incredible, class-leading power. Dial in a lightweight chassis honed for sports, tightly wrapped in head-turning streetfighter style and the new CB750 Hornet takes flight. Nothing else comes close.

Class Leading Power To WeightTheres a buzz about the CB750 Hornet. And the talk is all about power to weight ratio. An all-new, parallel twin-cylinder engine armed with pumped-up vortex improves intake efficiency and super sport cylinder technology reduces friction whilst pumping out 67.5kW at peak with 75Nm torque, driving hard through the mid-range onto a thrilling rush around the rev counter. It feels and sounds great too, with rock-solid low-end pulse and thrilling exhaust note. An engine this potent packaged in such a lightweight chassis means theres only one thing you have to do. Hold on and enjoy.

Ultimate Control and ConnectivityYoure fully in charge of the CB750 Hornets stunning engine. Throttle By Wire (TBW) precision equals 3 default riding modes: Sport, Standard and Rain, as well as a customisable User mode to fine-tune (through 3 levels) Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and Wheelie Control. You can also individually adjust Engine Power and Engine Braking. Its easy too the 5-inch full colour TFT display offers a beautiful, intuitive interface as well as Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCs) for connectivity.

Pure Naked AggressionShaped from scratch by the ambitious young designers in our Rome R&amp;D facility, with technical input from our Japanese development engineers, the CB750 Hornets sharp minimalism brings hardcore attitude to the street. The fuel tank, inspired by the outline of a Hornets wing, commands attention while the metallic red frame and anodised front forks available with 2 paint options pop with vibrant aggression. And, of course, a special matte yellow colour pays homage to our own Hornet history with a modern twist. LED lighting is the premium finishing touch.

Fast Agile FunDesigned around a new steel diamond frame the CB750 Hornet has a seat height of 795mm, so its a joy to manage. And, with a naturally upright riding position and 190kg kerb weight, it steers fast with precise control and feedback from 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks and Pro-Link rear shock. Carving a city block or set of corners its compact dimensions equal razor-sharp side-to-side agility while 4-piston, radial mount front calipers bite hard for high-performance stopping power.

    <title>Make Commuting Fun - Dax 125</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/make-commuting-fun-dax-125</link>
    <description>
Honda Motorcycles have long led the way both in quality and innovation within the 125cc marketplace for small capacity fun and lively commuter and learner motorcycles. Born in the late 1960s, all the things that made it so good then small size, easy-going engine and light steering make it even more enjoyable today. The DAX125 has been revivied and is now back with more power, upgraded frame, suspension and brakes, while its simple essence remains the same: Dax and relax.

        Big On Features

Its all the small things that catch the eye. The chromed rear grab rail is styled just right and also provides a neat handhold for a passenger. A cover protects the final drive chain from the elements (and loose clothing) while blacked-out, 12-inch 5-spoke wheels add a touch of modernity. As does full LED lighting and a compact, circular negative LCD instrument display full of the information you need, and nothing else.

Authentic to Every Last Nut and Bolt

The Dax is a true style icon of the 1970s, brought back for the modern day with big performance packed into a small bike. Ridings never looked, or felt, so good.

Wide Tyres for Good All-Round Traction

This is a tough little bike and it wears suitably chunky tyres; 120mm wide up front and 130mm rear for sure-footed grip on rougher ground.

        Easy Riding Enjoyment for Everybody

A low seat and wide, upswept handlebars make for light steering and great balance, especially at low speed. Theres also more than enough room for a passenger.

Smooth Engine Power and Fuel Efficiency

Quiet-running and fuel-efficient, the engine is a pleasure to use. A centrifugal clutch adds twist-and-go simplicity for gear shifting. Just move, and enjoy.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes with ABS Control

Just right for every level of riding experience, the brakes deliver effective stopping power, with the benefit of ABS back-up to manage braking in all conditions.

    Full LED Lighting

Round LEDs in the circular headlight add even more appeal. The front indicators also act as position lights, improving visibility to other road users.

        What Else Do You Need?

The Dax is for everybody. So weve made it easy to ride. Starting with a seat height of just 775mm and natural control from a relaxed, upright riding position. High-quality suspension 31mm USD front forks and twin rear shocks provide a plush ride, as do fat front and rear tyres, which grip well on a variety of surfaces. For peace of mind, single-channel ABS controls braking force to the hydraulic front and rear calipers.

    <title>New 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/honda/news/new-2020-honda-cbr1000rr-r-fireblade-sp</link>
    <description>
        THE RACE-TRACK IS YOUR PLAYGROUND

Its where you live and truly come alive. Performance is everything and youll take any advantage to hunt out speed.
We have built the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP for you. It starts out in the same Pit Lane as the CBR1000RR-R which means MotoGP technology for the engine, chassis and aerodynamics. But weve added second generation hlins Smart Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension and an upgraded user interface to go with it. And a new Brembo braking package including Stylema front brake calipers, brake lever and rear caliper. The CBR1000RR-R SP is not built with a road-riders needs in mind; the race-track is where it belongs. And while it is fully road legal, with lights, indicators, full-colour TFT display and Honda Smart Key, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is our ultimate statement of pure super sports aggression. Enjoy it.

Youve carried speed onto the straight. Braked a metre later. Hit the perfect apex, your body far over kerb paint with knee slider skating lightly. The front tyre bites, on edge. Instinctively you wind on the throttle hard feeling the rear tyre slide. Just enough. The machine is working for you. Meet our new track missile the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. It is based on the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. Which means an inline four-cylinder engine is packed with our MotoGP technology, just like the aluminium frame, swingarm and aerodynamics. But then, for the RR-R SP, we step it up. Weve added second generation hlins Smart Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension and interface. And a new Brembo braking package. Plus a quickshifter. This is our ultimate Fireblade.

Take a closer look at the unique features that make the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP born to race.

Second-generation semi-active hlins Electronic Control (S-EC) The hlins NPX fork uses a pressurised damping system to minimise cavitation, resulting in more stable damping control and improved bump absorption at high speeds. Feel for front tyre grip is also enhanced. The rear shock is also by hlins; the upper mount attaches at the back of the engine to enhance high-speed handling.

        Launch control for fast starts

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is equipped with Launch Control for race starts. It limits engine rpm at 6,000, 7,000, 8,000 and 9,000rpm set-points, even with a wide-open throttle, letting you focus on clutch release (and lights) alone. A quickshifter is also fitted as standard, with performance optimised for racetrack performance and reliability.

        Brembo Stylema front brake calipers

Incredible braking power is provided by the latest Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers with Brembo brake lever and master cylinder to match. The calipers maintain rigidity but are 7% lighter, with less internal fluid volume for more immediate reaction.

Here&#039;s some of the styling elements and tech that make this bike bred for the track.
