Triumph Speed Triple 1200 vs Ducati Streetfighter vs Honda Hornet

Three Super-Nakeds, One Buyer&#039;s Guide

Three of the most exciting motorcycles on sale right now. One British triple, one Italian V4, one Japanese inline-four, and between them, a price gap of nearly 15,000. The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S, and the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP all occupy the same broad category: high-performance, naked, street-focused machines built for riders who want the sensation of a superbike without the commitment of a full tuck. But the similarities stop there.

This guide gives you an honest, practical account of what each bike actually is, what it costs, what you get for your money, and which type of rider each one suits best. All three are available at Blade Motorcycles, through Blade Triumph, Blade Ducati, and Blade Honda, so if you want to compare them in person, you can do exactly that across our showrooms without visiting three different dealers.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP

The Bargain That Shouldn&#039;t Exist

The bike that rewrote the rulebook on value

When Honda launched the CB1000 Hornet SP, the reaction from the motorcycle press was immediate and unanimous: this should not be possible. Here is a litre-class naked bike with a Fireblade-derived engine, Brembo Stylema front calipers, an hlins TTX36 rear shock, a bi-directional quickshifter, a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, and 155bhp, for just over ten thousand pounds. It undercuts some 900cc middleweight nakeds and sits thousands of pounds below anything with comparable hardware.

The engine is derived from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade. Honda retuned the camshafts, compression ratio and valve timing to pull power lower in the rev range, the Hornet is tractable and flexible from low revs, but above 7,000rpm it transforms, surging through to its 11,000rpm power peak with real aggression. The SP&#039;s exhaust features a servo-operated valve that opens at 5,700rpm to further free up top-end delivery, contributing both the extra 5bhp over the standard Hornet and a noticeably sharper sound.

What the SP adds over the standard Hornet

The base CB1000 Hornet is already extraordinary value, but the SP makes an even stronger case. Over the standard bike you gain the hlins TTX36 fully adjustable rear monoshock (replacing a Showa unit), Brembo Stylema front calipers replacing Nissin items, 5bhp more from the revised exhaust, and the bi-directional quickshifter as standard. The SP also comes exclusively in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic with gold wheels and forks, a JPS-inspired finish that looks considerably more expensive than it is.

It is worth being clear about what the Hornet SP does not have. There is no IMU, which means no cornering ABS and no lean-sensitive traction control informed by attitude data. There is also no semi-active suspension, the hlins rear shock is excellent kit but requires manual adjustment rather than adapting automatically. In isolation neither of these is a problem, but when comparing directly to the Triumph and Ducati, it is a meaningful spec gap for those who spend time on track or push hard on challenging roads.

The chassis uses a twin-spar steel frame, Honda claims 70% greater torsional rigidity than the outgoing CB1000R. The 180-section rear tyre (smaller than the 200-section on both rivals) makes the bike more willing to tip in and change direction quickly. This is a machine that works hard for its rider, rather than demanding the rider works for it.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS

More Power, More Tech, More Character

And still at a sane price

The Speed Triple 1200 RS has been the benchmark super-naked for much of the past four years, and the 2025 update reinforced that position with real substance. The 1,160cc inline-triple, which gives the bike its &quot;1200&quot; name despite the actual displacement, now produces 180.5bhp at 10,750rpm and 128Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. That torque figure is the most important one to a road rider: 128Nm is more than the Ducati V4 makes (120Nm), despite the Ducati having 33bhp more at peak. The triple&#039;s torque is thick, accessible, and present from relatively low revs, you do not need to be chasing the redline to feel the Speed Triple working hard.

The character of the 1,160cc triple is genuinely unlike anything else in this comparison. It is not the clinical precision of a four-cylinder, and it is not the barely-contained explosion of a V4. It sits somewhere between: a bassy, musical engine that rewards mechanical sympathy and delivers addictive performance across a wide rev range. The 2025 revision added a new free-flowing exhaust and refined crankshaft balancing, smoother and more refined, while also claiming the title of Triumph&#039;s most powerful production motorcycle.

Where the Triumph earns its price tag

The headline upgrade for 2025 is the hlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension, the same generation of electronics found on the Ducati Panigale V4 S. Both the 43mm front fork and the rear monoshock adapt in real time using IMU inputs, continuously adjusting damping to match braking, acceleration, cornering and cruising loads. Riders can customise seven parameters including braking support, cornering support and overall firmness through the TFT display. This is genuinely world-class suspension technology, and it transforms the Speed Triple&#039;s behaviour on challenging roads in a way that the manually-set Hornet SP simply cannot match.

The IMU also enables cornering ABS, Triumph&#039;s updated front wheel lift control, and a brake slide assist feature that allows a controlled rear slide under braking. At 199kg ready to ride, the Speed Triple is the lightest machine in this comparison by a meaningful margin, 13kg lighter than the Hornet SP. Brembo Stylema calipers on 320mm discs with a Brembo MCS adjustable master cylinder complete a front-end package that is track-ready out of the crate. Triumph&#039;s My Connectivity System adds turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro camera control, music and phone integration, the most fully developed smartphone connectivity of the three bikes here.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 S

214bhp. No Fairings. No Apologies.

The ultimate expression

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is, by a significant margin, the most extreme motorcycle in this comparison. Its 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine is derived from MotoGP, developed by the same engineers who build Ducati&#039;s factory World Superbike campaigns. In the Streetfighter it produces 214bhp at 13,000rpm, the same full-power output as the Panigale V4, differentiated only by a subtle intake modification to optimise mid-range delivery. There is no meaningful detuning here. This is a Panigale with the fairing removed.

The 2025 model brought the most comprehensive update to the Streetfighter V4 since its 2020 launch. The chassis now shares the Panigale V4&#039;s revised frame with a 39% reduction in lateral stiffness at the front, improving feel and front-end feedback. The swingarm moved to a double-sided design and is 37% less laterally stiff, again aimed at improving feel through corners. The hlins SmartEC3.0 suspension on the V4 S is the latest generation of the same system found on the Triumph, calibrated for the Streetfighter&#039;s more extreme performance envelope.

The V4 S on the road

Ducati&#039;s electronics package is formidably comprehensive: six riding modes including Race A and B, Ducati Power Launch for standing starts, Ducati Quick Shift EVO 3 for clutchless changes in both directions, and a six-axis IMU driving cornering ABS tuned specifically for this bike&#039;s dynamics. The aerodynamic winglets, carried over from the Panigale, generate real downforce at speed, improving stability under hard acceleration and during braking from high speeds. These are functional components, not styling details.

It would be misleading to suggest the Streetfighter V4 S is an easy, comfortable daily rider, because it is not designed to be. The riding position is aggressive, and in Race mode the bike is genuinely demanding. But the 2025 chassis and suspension updates have meaningfully improved lower-speed behaviour. In Medium or Street mode with the hlins adapting automatically, it becomes a usable road bike. The riding experience is extraordinary.

One practical note on ownership: the Desmosedici Stradale engine uses Ducati&#039;s Desmodromic valve actuation system, requiring a specialist valve check at every 15,000-mile service interval. This is more involved than a conventional service and should be factored into running costs. Ducati-authorised dealers, including Blade Ducati, carry this out as part of standard scheduled maintenance.

Verdict: Which Super-Naked Is Right for You?

Choose the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP if

You want the most performance per pound available on the market right now. The Hornet SP&#039;s Brembo Stylema calipers and hlins TTX36 rear shock are genuine premium components at a price that makes no logical sense until you ride it. At 10,099 you get 155bhp, a Fireblade-derived engine and brand-name chassis hardware that should cost thousands more. It is also the most accessible bike here to ride well from day one, quick and engaging without demanding constant attention, and without the intimidation factor of either rival. If you primarily ride on the road, rarely visit a track, and want to be genuinely astonished by what your money buys, this is the one.

View CB1000 Hornet SP Enquire Now Book a Test Ride

Choose the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS if

You want the most complete package at a rational price. At 17,695 the Speed Triple 1200 RS gives you 180.5bhp, the most torque of any bike here, full hlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension on both axles, IMU-enabled cornering ABS, and My Triumph connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation as standard. You also get the characterful triple engine that many experienced riders prefer to either a four-cylinder or a V4 tractable, sonorous, and deeply satisfying to ride both quickly and slowly. The Speed Triple makes the strongest case for mixed use: capable of carrying you quickly and comfortably on a long ride, and equally impressive on a track morning. The three-year warranty and 3 years of Triumph Assist roadside cover is also the strongest factory package of the three bikes here.

View Speed Triple 1200 RS Enquire Now Book a Test Ride

Choose the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S if

You want the best. Not the best value, not the most practical, the best, in terms of outright performance, technology, and the experience of riding the closest thing to a factory Superbike that you can legally use on the road. The Streetfighter V4 S is extraordinary: 214bhp from a MotoGP-derived engine, world-class hlins SmartEC3.0 semi-active suspension, and an electronics package calibrated at a level most riders will spend years learning to fully exploit. At 24,995 it costs nearly 15,000 more than the Hornet SP, and that gap deserves serious thought. But for riders who attend trackdays regularly, who have the skill to use what the V4 S offers, and for whom the riding experience is the primary consideration above everything else, the Streetfighter V4 S is in a different category to its rivals. Budget for the Desmodromic valve service at 15,000-mile intervals, and buy it because you want the ultimate experience rather than because the numbers make sense.

What makes the adventure bike class uniquely interesting is that the three bikes here are genuinely different machines with different strengths, different characters, and different ideal buyers. Choosing between them is not a question of which is best in absolute terms, it is a question of which is best for you. This guide is designed to help you answer that.

All three are available to view and test ride at Blade Motorcycles. We are the authorised dealer for Triumph, Ducati, and Honda across the South West and Midlands, which means you can actually compare these bikes in person at our showrooms without driving to three different dealers.

Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro: The Grand Tourer

Built for Miles

The Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro is the most refined long-distance touring machine of this group. Its 1,160cc inline triple, the T-Plane engine that uses an unusual firing order to give the low-speed character of a twin with the top-end performance of a triple; produces 150PS (148bhp) at 9,000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Both figures are accessible across a wide rev range rather than demanding high revs to be useful, which is exactly what you want after six hours in the saddle.

The defining practical feature of the Tiger is its shaft drive. No chain to clean, adjust or replace. No oil spray building up on the rear wheel and swingarm. No chain failure to plan around when you are 300 miles from home. For a machine designed around extended touring, this is a significant advantage that the other two bikes in this comparison do not share.

Brembo M4.30 Stylema monoblock radial calipers, the same caliper used on Ducati Panigale superbikes, provide class-leading braking performance. The Magura master cylinder delivers exceptional feel and modulation. Cornering ABS is standard.

Suspension and Technology

Both ends of the Tiger run Showa semi-active damping, with the front using 49mm USD forks offering 200mm of travel. The rear monoshock features Triumph&#039;s Active Preload Reduction system, which automatically lowers the bike by up to 20mm when it detects you have come to a standstill, making it easier to manage at rest. This is particularly useful with a 245kg motorcycle.

The seat is adjustable between 850mm and 870mm, not the most accessible height, but the weight distribution and the Active Preload Reduction system make the bike feel lighter than it is. The 7-inch TFT display includes Triumph&#039;s My Connectivity System with Bluetooth for calls and music, plus the GoPro control integration many touring riders appreciate. Heated grips and keyless ignition are standard. The Triumph Shift Assist up-and-down quickshifter is also standard across the range, something not all competitors can say.

The Current Offer

Until 30 June 2026, Blade Triumph is offering free Silver Expedition Panniers &amp; Rails worth 1,160 with every new Tiger 1200 MY25 purchased. For a touring bike, this is a genuinely valuable addition that would otherwise be among the first accessories most buyers would specify. Contact Blade Triumph to confirm availability on specific stock.

DUCATI MULTISTRADA V4 S: THE PERFORMANCE FLAGSHIP

170hp. Front and Rear Radar. The Most Advanced Adventure Bike on Sale.

The Multistrada V4 S is the most technically ambitious adventure touring motorcycle currently in production. Its 1,158cc Granturismo V4 produces 170hp at 10,700rpm and 124Nm of torque, power figures closer to a superbike than an adventure tourer. The V4 Granturismo engine is unique to the Multistrada family: not a Panigale engine in touring clothes, but a purpose-designed V4 unit built specifically for this application, with a cylinder deactivation system that cuts two cylinders on the move during light-throttle cruising to reduce heat and improve fuel efficiency on long journeys.

The technology headline, however, is the radar. The Multistrada V4 S was the first production motorcycle in the world to feature both front and rear radar simultaneously. The front radar enables Adaptive Cruise Control, maintaining your chosen following distance from the vehicle ahead without driver input. The rear radar provides Blind Spot Detection, alerting you to vehicles in your mirrors&#039; blind spots before a lane change. On a motorway or fast A-road, both systems work in a way that meaningfully reduces fatigue and risk. Neither feature is available on the Tiger or the Africa Twin.

Suspension and Handling

The DSS EVO semi-active suspension system adapts in real time to road conditions, rider weight and riding style. Like the Tiger, the Multistrada V4 S includes an automatic ride-height lowering system, Ducati&#039;s Automatic Lowering Device activates below 10km/h to bring the bike down to a more manageable height at junctions and traffic stops, then automatically returns to riding height above 50km/h.

The seat height is adjustable between 810mm and 875mm across its range, making the V4 S the most accessible of the three bikes in terms of minimum seat height. With the low seat fitted at 810mm, it is a genuinely manageable motorcycle despite its performance credentials.

Wheel Choices and Warranty

The V4 S is available in three colour options; Ducati Red, Thrilling Black, and Arctic White, and three wheel specifications: standard alloy wheels (from 21,695), spoked rims for light off-road use (from 23,571), or Marchesini forged wheels for reduced unsprung weight and the most dynamic on-road feel (from 23,971). The choice of wheel type is meaningful, spoked rims make the V4 S a more credible mixed-terrain tourer, while forged wheels are the choice for those prioritising road dynamics and track days. Ducati&#039;s 4Ever Multistrada warranty provides four years of unlimited mileage cover as standard, one year more than the Tiger and two more than the Africa Twin&#039;s base warranty.

Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES: The True Adventurer

The One That Goes Anywhere

The Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES is the most capable off-road machine of this comparison, and the only one genuinely built to venture beyond tarmac on a regular basis. The 2026 update brings meaningful improvements: a 7% increase in mid-range torque through revised camshaft timing, higher compression and an updated exhaust; a new 19-inch front wheel (replacing the previous 21-inch) with a wider 110/80-19 tyre that improves on-road handling without significantly compromising the off-road capability the model is known for; and a new upper fairing with a five-stage adjustable screen for improved wind protection on long-distance stages.

The 1,084cc parallel twin with a 270-degree crank fires in a rhythm that suggests something more than a conventional parallel twin. At 101hp it is the least powerful bike in this comparison by some margin, but that is not the point. The engine is tuned for torque, tractability, and reliability across varied terrain and varied conditions, qualities that matter more than peak power when you are threading through mountain tracks or crossing gravel passes.

DCT, Technology and Connectivity

The Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES is specified with Honda&#039;s Dual Clutch Transmission as standard. DCT delivers smooth, instant automatic gear changes, reduces the physical and mental load of riding in traffic or on challenging terrain, and can be switched to manual control via paddle shifters on the left bar. The G-Switch function specifically optimises DCT behaviour for off-road riding, reducing clutch slip to improve rear wheel traction on loose surfaces.

The 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen is the largest display of the three bikes and the only one with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as standard. This means full smartphone navigation, calls and music integration, not a simplified Bluetooth connection, but the actual phone interface displayed on the bike&#039;s screen. For riders who rely on navigation, this is a significant practical advantage.

The six-axis IMU enables cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control (Honda Selectable Torque Control at seven levels), and three-level Wheelie Control. Four preset riding modes cover Urban, Tour, Gravel and Off-Road; two User modes allow full customisation. Electronic suspension with Showa EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) adapts automatically to conditions or can be manually set to one of five profiles.

Range and Practicality

At 24.8 litres the Africa Twin has the largest fuel tank of the three bikes, giving a theoretical range in excess of 500km. For expedition touring where fuel stops may be infrequent, this is a meaningful advantage. Ground clearance is 220mm, comfortably more than either the Tiger or the Multistrada, and the wire-spoke tubeless wheels are field-repairable in a way that cast alloy or forged wheels are not.

At 253kg it is the heaviest bike in this comparison, which is worth noting for those who expect to manoeuvre it frequently on loose ground. The seat height of 835/855mm (with a low seat option bringing it down to 795mm) makes it manageable for a wide range of rider heights.

Numbers only tell part of the story. The Tiger produces the most torque of the three and the only one with shaft drive. The Multistrada has the most power, the longest warranty and the only radar system. The Africa Twin has the biggest tank, the most capable off-road chassis and the most sophisticated smartphone integration.

Verdict:

None of these bikes is objectively the best, but one of them is almost certainly the best for you.

Which Bike Is Right for You?

Choose the Tiger 1200 GT Pro if:

You put a lot of miles on your bike and want it to be as low-maintenance as possible. The shaft drive and 10,000-mile service interval make the Tiger the most practical choice for high-mileage owners. You also appreciate the quality of the Brembo Stylema brakes, there are genuinely few better braking systems fitted to any production motorcycle at any price. The triple engine&#039;s character is unlike anything else on the market: smooth, linear and distinctive in a way that becomes addictive over time.

Ideal for: Daily touring, long-distance weekend rides, high-mileage owners, riders who want to cover serious ground without mechanical fuss. Also the best choice if you ride two-up regularly; the semi-active suspension handles combined weights well, and the shaft drive means your passenger doesn&#039;t wear oil.

View the Tiger 1200 GT Pro

Choose the Multistrada V4 S if:

You want the most advanced adventure motorcycle currently on sale, you enjoy sport touring as much as longer-distance travel, and the premium is justified by what you get. 170hp gives you reserves you will rarely need but will always appreciate. The radar system, particularly Adaptive Cruise Control on motorways, changes what long-distance riding feels like at a fundamental level. The 4-year warranty provides genuine ownership reassurance.

The Multistrada V4 S also gives you the most options: three wheel types, three colours, and the ability to specify a Grand Tour or Full package with panniers, heated grips, and Akrapovic exhaust from the factory. It is the most configurable bike of the three and the one you can tailor most precisely to your specific requirements.

Ideal for: Sport touring, weekend blasts, riders who want superbike-derived performance in a touring package, and those who genuinely use motorways and want the ACC system to earn its keep.

Choose the Africa Twin AS ES if:

Adventure means more than smooth tarmac to you. If you ride green lanes, head to the Alps in late autumn, plan a long-distance overland route, or simply want the confidence of knowing the bike beneath you can handle whatever surface appears around the next corner, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES is the one. Its wire-spoke wheels, 220mm ground clearance, and off-road-specific DCT settings are not tokens, they are genuine capability.

The 24.8L tank and Apple CarPlay connectivity make it the most self-sufficient machine of the three for extended touring. And at 17,799 it is the most versatile bike in this group relative to price. The DCT takes some getting used to if you have only ridden manual bikes, but most riders who try it never want to go back, particularly in urban traffic or difficult terrain.

Ideal for: Adventure touring, mixed terrain riding, long-distance expeditions, tech-forward riders who use navigation constantly, and anyone who spends time off the beaten track.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is the most powerful; Tiger 1200 GT Pro, Multistrada V4 S or Africa Twin Adventure Sports?

The Ducati Multistrada V4 S at 170hp. The Triumph Tiger follows at 150PS (148bhp), and the Honda Africa Twin at 75kW (101hp). The Africa Twin is tuned for mid-range torque and off-road tractability rather than peak power, the figures tell a different story to the real-world riding experience.

Which adventure bike has the best technology package?

Each leads in a different area. The Ducati has front and rear radar, no other production motorcycle has both. The Honda has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on a touchscreen, the most accessible smartphone integration in the group. The Triumph has the most comprehensive semi-active suspension with active ride-height adjustment, and the only standard-fit up/down quickshifter. The answer depends on which technology you value most.

Which is the best adventure bike for long-distance touring?

The Tiger 1200 GT Pro&#039;s shaft drive and 10,000-mile service intervals make it the most practical choice for sustained high-mileage touring. The Africa Twin&#039;s 24.8L tank gives it the greatest range between fuel stops. The Multistrada&#039;s Adaptive Cruise Control makes motorway sections genuinely less fatiguing. All three are serious long-distance touring machines, the choice depends on how much off-tarmac travel you expect and whether you value low maintenance or maximum range most.

Which adventure bike is best for off-road riding?

The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES by a meaningful margin. Wire-spoke tubeless wheels, 220mm ground clearance, an Off-Road suspension mode, and G-Switch DCT for loose surfaces give it capabilities the Tiger and Multistrada cannot match on standard specification.

Where can I test ride all three bikes?

Blade Motorcycles stocks all three. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro is at Blade Triumph in Cheltenham (01242 235999) and Stratford-upon-Avon (01789 205149). The Multistrada V4 S is at Ducati Oxford in Abingdon (01235 466089). The Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT is at Blade Honda in Abingdon (01235 550055) and Stratford-upon-Avon (01789 208960).

Riding Gear: Suited to Every Rider, Every Condition

Our riding gear collection is built around the understanding that the right kit makes every ride better. Whether you ride a Ducati Panigale on track days, a Harley-Davidson on a weekend run, an adventure-spec Honda on green lanes or a Triumph Tiger on a European tour, there is gear here built for how and where you actually ride.

Helmets

A helmet is the most important piece of kit you will ever buy. Our range covers full-face, modular and open-face options from the brands our customers trust most, with choices across a range of price points, ventilation systems and fit profiles. If you are not sure which type suits your riding, our teams at Abingdon, Cheltenham, Stratford and Oxford are always on hand to help you make the right choice.

Jackets

From Triumph&#039;s classically styled leather jackets to adventure-ready textile options and Ducati&#039;s track-influenced outerwear, the range covers everything from daily commuting to full touring use. Leather offers unmatched abrasion resistance for high-speed riding, while modern textile jackets bring waterproofing, ventilation and armour compatibility that makes them the more versatile choice for UK conditions. Many of our jackets come with removable thermal liners, meaning one jacket can work across the full riding season without compromise.

Gloves, Boots and Base Layers

Gloves are the first point of contact in a fall, and boots protect an ankle joint that is extremely vulnerable in any low-speed incident. Our range includes summer-weight gloves with knuckle protection, all-season touring gloves with waterproof membranes, short motorcycle boots for urban riding, and full-height touring boots for riders covering serious mileage. Base layers and hi-vis options round out the collection for riders who commute, tour or ride in mixed conditions.

Casual Clothing: Wear the Lifestyle Beyond the Bike

The best riding gear in the world stays in a bag when you are off the bike. Our casual clothing range is designed for riders who want to represent their brand of choice in everyday life, whether that is at an event, in the paddock, or simply going about their day.

Ducati&#039;s casual range brings Italian style to off-bike wear, with T-shirts, hoodies and caps that reflect the brand&#039;s premium character. Harley-Davidson leans into Americana heritage with graphic tees, logo hoodies and branded outerwear that are some of the most recognisable motorcycle lifestyle pieces on the market. Honda&#039;s casual line reflects the brand&#039;s aggressive, colourful energy, while Triumph offers a more understated, classically British feel for riders who prefer a subtler brand statement.

The range also includes casual footwear, denim and lifestyle jackets for those times when you want durability and comfort without looking like you just stepped off a racetrack.

Three Accessories Categories Worth Knowing About

A well-equipped ride starts with the right accessories. Our accessories range is broader than most riders expect, covering everything from the practical to the protective.

1. Luggage That Works on Your Machine

Tank bags, tail packs, saddle bags and panniers from Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda and Triumph are designed to be compatible with their specific models and mounting systems. Buying brand-matched luggage means no guesswork about fitment, no improvised mounting and no risk of something coming loose at motorway speed. If you are planning a touring run this summer, sorting your luggage before you go is significantly less stressful than discovering the problem 200 miles from home.

2. Security That Matches the Bike You Are Protecting

Motorcycle theft is a persistent problem across the UK, and a quality security solution is not optional. Our security range includes chains, disc locks, alarms and covers from brands that understand the specific threats riders face. A good cover also significantly reduces your bike&#039;s visual appeal to opportunistic thieves, which is one of the simplest and most effective deterrents available.

3. Protection, Mounts and Maintenance

Frame protectors, engine covers, radiator guards and fork protection guard your machine from incidental damage that chips value and erodes pride of ownership faster than you might expect. Motorcycle mounts handle GPS, phone and intercom hardware cleanly and securely. Maintenance products, including chain lube, cleaning kits and corrosion protection, keep everything running as it should through a busy riding season.

Frequently Asked Questions: Buying Motorcycle Gear Online

What brands does the Blade Motorcycles online shop stock?

The Blade online shop carries official clothing, helmets, accessories and parts from Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda and Triumph. All items are genuinely sourced, fully warranted and compatible with the specific models those brands produce. We do not carry generic or unbranded alternatives, only genuine manufacturer-approved gear.

Can I return motorcycle clothing if it does not fit?

Yes. We offer straightforward returns on items that do not fit or that you are unhappy with on arrival, subject to items being unworn, in original packaging and returned within the stated returns window. If you are ever unsure about sizing before you order, our dealership teams can advise based on the brand&#039;s sizing standards, which vary considerably between manufacturers.

Do you sell riding gear for all types of motorcycling?

Our range covers road riding, touring, adventure, commuting and casual lifestyle wear. The brands we stock each bring a different character to their gear: Ducati for performance and Italian style, Harley-Davidson for heritage and cruiser culture, and Triumph for classic British character with modern function and for adventure and off-road durability,. Between them, virtually every UK riding style and use case is covered.

Is it better to buy motorcycle gear in-store or online?

For helmets and boots in particular, we always recommend trying before you buy if you have not worn that brand&#039;s sizing before. If you can visit one of our showrooms, our team can help you assess fit properly. That said, if you know your size in a specific brand and product, ordering online is quick, convenient and risk-free given our returns policy. Many customers find a combination of the two works best: try in-store, reorder online when you know what fits.

Can I collect online orders from a Blade Motorcycles dealership?

Yes. If you prefer to collect your order in person rather than have it delivered, get in touch with your nearest Blade dealership before placing your order and our team will be happy to arrange this. Collecting in person also gives you the chance to try kit on with guidance from our staff before you take it home.

<title>Is January the Best Time to Buy Motorcycle Gear? | UK Riders’ Guide</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/is-january-the-best-time-to-buy-motorcycle-gearuk-ridersguide</link>
    <description>

January isnt traditionally known as riding season, but when it comes to buying motorcycle gear, it might just be the smartest month of the year.

While many riders wait until spring to think about new kit, those who act earlier often enjoy better choice and zero last-minute stress when riding season returns.

More choice, fewer compromises

Shopping online in January gives you access to a broader range of sizes, colours and styles before demand ramps up in spring. Once riding season approaches, popular sizes and best-selling items can sell through quickly. Buying earlier means choosing what suits you, not settling for whats left.

Our online shop makes it easy to browse by category, brand or riding style, allowing you to take your time and compare options properly rather than rushing a decision.

Value that makes upgrading worthwhile

January is one of the few times of year when upgrading quality makes financial sense. Instead of replacing worn kit like-for-like, many riders use this period to step up to better materials, improved weather protection or added safety features.

From jackets and gloves to boots and base layers, January offers an opportunity to invest in gear youll rely on all year, not just something to get you through the colder months.

Be ready when riding season returns

The first dry weekend of the year often catches riders out. Ordering online in January means your gear is already sorted, broken in and ready to go when the roads improve.

It also avoids last-minute purchases driven by urgency rather than suitability, which often lead to compromise.

A smarter way to prepare for the year ahead

Using January to plan and purchase online puts you in control. You can research, compare and invest at your own pace, knowing your gear is ready well before the season gets underway.

If youre thinking about upgrading your kit this year, our online shop is the ideal place to start, with a wide range of riding gear and accessories available now and delivered direct to your door.

    <title>Planning Your 2026 Motorcycle Riding Season | UK Events &amp; Ideas</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/planning-your-2026-motorcycle-riding-seasonuk-events-and-ideas</link>
    <description>

January is when the riding dreams begin. Maps come out, calendars fill up and ideas turn into plans. Getting organised early means fewer compromises later. So where to start?

Key UK motorcycle dates to note

While final dates vary year to year, these staples shape many UK riding calendars:

Distinguished Gentleman&#039;s Ride - May 17th

The Bike Shed MotoShow - May 22nd-24th

Isle of Man TT - May 25th-6th June

ABR Festival - June 25th-28th

Goodwood Festival of Speed - July 9th-12th

Malle Mile Festival - July 16th-19th

British MotoGP at Silverstone - August 7th-9th

Motorcycle Live - November 21st-29th

Plan rides, not just events

January is also perfect for planning:

Weekend road trips

Multi-day UK tours

Skills courses or track days

Group ride-outs with friends

Several of our brands offer rider experiences across the UK that are well worth adding to your 2026 calendar.Hondariders can sharpen their off-road skills at theDave Thorpe Off-Road Experience, a long-established programme designed to improve control, technique and confidence away from the road. For adventure-focused riders,Ducatiruns theDRE Adventure Academy, blending riding tuition with real-world adventure riding techniques. Meanwhile,Triumphoffers theTriumph Adventure Experience, giving riders the chance to develop off-road skills on a range of terrain using dedicated adventure models.

These experiences often run in limited numbers and book up quickly, so factoring them into your plans early gives you the best chance of securing a place.

Match your bike and gear to your plans

Longer rides might mean luggage upgrades. Track days may call for new gloves or boots. Touring season could require better weather protection. Don&#039;t worry, we&#039;ve got you covered. You can get all your essentials for the year ahead on our online shop.

Or, if youre thinking about upgrading your bike before the new season arrives, now is a great time to start the conversation. Planning ahead gives you more choice, more time to explore your options and avoids the spring rush when demand peaks. Whether youre looking for something new, approved used or simply want to understand what your current bike might be worth, our team is on hand to help you find the right next step for the year ahead. KeithStraw and Wife Grace

It was 1999 and we were due to return home from my RAF tour in Germany. We had spent 3 years touring Europe two-up on our Yamaha Diversion 900 over 30,000 miles. This was to be our last trip and we chose a visit to Vienna.

My late wife, Grace, of 20 years at that point, wanted to tour the Vienna State Opera House. Unfortunately, we found it was closed. I suggested she go and get us some hot chocolates in an adjacent coffee house while I went and found when it would be open next.

The Box Office told me it was closed owing to a performance of a ballet that evening. This proved to be the romantic chance of a lifetime. That evening my ballet-loving wife got to see Swan Lake from a box at the Vienna State Opera House on the 14th of February, St Valentine&#039;s Day. I lived on that once in a lifetime bit of luck for a decade afterwards.

We bought our Tiger 900 GT Pro in 2020 to continue our touring. Unfortunately, Grace was only ever destined to ride it once. I lost her to Cancer after 42 years together, that year. I now use it to do the tours we had planned and it has done 30,000 miles since visiting Scandinavia, France and Italy.

A perfect Anniversary treat for my beautiful wife Sasha and I, riding out to the Cotswolds for a night at the Fish nr Broadway and a stunning ride there and back along beautiful country lanes, her on the fabulous little Honda Monkey me on the Tiger 900 RP with the bags(both from Blade Stratford) a fun way to celebrate an anniversary and turn even a local night away into a little adventure

        Benefits of motorcycle travel

There is something truly special about traveling on a motorcycle. The sense of freedom and connection with the road is unparalleled. Motorcycle travel allows you to immerse yourself fully in the surroundings, experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells in a way that is impossible in a car. The wind in your face and the rumble of the engine create a sensory experience like no other.

One of the biggest advantages of motorcycle travel is the ability to navigate through traffic and crowded areas with ease. Motorcycles are nimble and can squeeze into spaces that cars simply cannot. This makes exploring cities and towns a breeze, allowing you to discover hidden gems and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Additionally, motorcycle travel offers a unique sense of camaraderie. Riding a motorcycle is often seen as a shared passion, and you&#039;ll find that fellow riders are enthusiastic about sharing stories, tips, and recommendations. Joining motorcycle clubs and communities can enhance your adventure, providing opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and forge lifelong friendships.

        Essential gear for motorcycle adventures

Before embarking on any motorcycle adventure, it is crucial to have the right gear to ensure your safety and comfort. Here are some essential items you should consider:

1. Helmet: A high-quality, properly fitted helmet is non-negotiable. It protects your head in case of an accident and should meet safety standards. Look for helmets with good ventilation and a comfortable fit to enhance your riding experience.

2. Protective Clothing: Invest in a sturdy motorcycle jacket, pants, and boots made from abrasion-resistant materials like leather or Kevlar. These will protect you from road rash and other injuries in the event of a fall. Don&#039;t forget gloves to improve your grip and protect your hands.

3. Eye Protection: Riding exposes your eyes to wind, debris, and insects. Opt for a helmet with a built-in visor or wear goggles or sunglasses to shield your eyes from the elements.

4. Luggage: Depending on the duration and nature of your adventure, you may need luggage to carry your essentials. Saddlebags, tail bags, or tank bags are popular options for motorcycle travel.

5. Tool Kit: It&#039;s always a good idea to carry a basic tool kit for minor repairs and maintenance on the road. This can include items like a tire repair kit, a multi-tool, and spare fuses.

Remember, investing in quality gear is an investment in your safety and comfort. Don&#039;t cut corners when it comes to protecting yourself on the open road.

        Planning your motorcycle adventure

Proper planning is key to a successful motorcycle adventure. Here are some important steps to consider:

1. Choose Your Destination: Research various motorcycle-friendly destinations and consider factors such as weather, road conditions, and visa requirements. Look for routes that offer scenic landscapes, diverse cultures, and interesting attractions.

2. Plan Your Route: Once you&#039;ve chosen a destination, plan your route carefully. Consider the distance, road conditions, and potential stops along the way. Use online mapping tools and resources to create a detailed itinerary.

3. Accommodation: Research and book accommodation in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Look for accommodations that offer secure parking for your motorcycle.

4. Budgeting: Determine your budget for the trip, including fuel, accommodation, meals, and activities. Keep in mind that unexpected expenses may arise, so it&#039;s always a good idea to have a buffer.

5. Packing: Pack light, but don&#039;t forget the essentials. Remember to include clothes suitable for various weather conditions, as well as any specialized gear you may need for your adventure.

6. Documentation: Ensure you have all the necessary documents for your trip, including your driver&#039;s license, passport, and any required permits or insurance. Make copies of these documents and keep them in a safe place.

By taking the time to plan your adventure meticulously, you can minimize potential issues and maximize your enjoyment on the road.

Choosing the right motorcycle for your adventure

Choosing the right motorcycle for your adventure is crucial to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Here are some factors to consider when selecting your ride:

1. Type of Riding: Determine the type of riding you&#039;ll be doing on your adventure. Will you be mostly on highways, or will you be tackling off-road trails? Understanding your riding style and preferences will help you choose a suitable motorcycle.

2. Comfort: Consider the ergonomics of the motorcycle, including seat height, handlebar position, and footpeg placement. A comfortable riding position is essential, especially for long journeys.

3. Engine Size: The engine size will depend on your riding experience and the type of terrain you&#039;ll encounter. Smaller engine sizes are suitable for beginners and urban riding, while larger engines offer more power for highway cruising and off-road adventures.

4. Weight: A heavy motorcycle can be challenging to handle, especially for beginners or when navigating tight spaces. Consider the weight of the motorcycle and ensure that you feel confident and in control.

5. Maintenance and Reliability: Research the maintenance requirements and reliability of the motorcycle you&#039;re considering. Look for a brand and model known for durability and easy access to spare parts.

6. Test Ride: Whenever possible, test ride the motorcycle before making a purchase. This will give you a feel for the bike and help you determine if it&#039;s the right fit for you.

Remember, choosing the right motorcycle is a personal decision. Consider your experience level, preferences, and intended use to find the perfect ride for your adventure.

<title>Mastering the Art of Defensive Riding: Safeguarding Your Journey on Two Wheels</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/mastering-the-art-of-defensive-ridingsafeguarding-your-journey-on-two-wheels</link>
    <description>
In the world of motorcycling, the term &quot;defensive riding&quot; carries a weight of importance akin to a sacred mantra. It&#039;s not just about getting from point A to point B; it&#039;s about ensuring that every twist and turn of your journey is safeguarded against the unpredictable elements of the road. Whether you&#039;re a seasoned rider or a novice enthusiast, mastering the art of defensive riding is paramount to your safety and enjoyment on two wheels.

Picture this: you&#039;re cruising down a sun-kissed a-road, the wind on your helmet and the roar of your engine beneath you. It&#039;s a scene straight out of a biker&#039;s dream. But amidst the bliss, danger lurks around every corner. From distracted drivers to unpredictable weather, the road is fraught with hazards waiting to catch even the most seasoned riders off guard.

So, what exactly is defensive riding, and how can you master it?
At its core, defensive riding is a mindsetan unwavering commitment to staying vigilant, anticipating potential dangers, and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks. It&#039;s about being acutely aware of your surroundings, constantly scanning the road ahead, and anticipating the actions of other motorists.

One of the fundamental principles of defensive riding is maintaining a safe following distance. The two-second rulekeeping at least two seconds of space between you and the vehicle in front of youshould be etched into every rider&#039;s subconscious. This buffer not only gives you ample time to react to sudden stops or obstacles but also provides a crucial margin of safety in case of emergencies.

But defensive riding goes beyond mere physical distance. It&#039;s about cultivating a keen sense of situational awarenessa sixth sense that enables you to anticipate and preempt potential hazards before they materialize. Keep your eyes scanning the road, checking your mirrors frequently, and staying alert to changes in traffic patterns. And never underestimate the importance of trusting your instinctsif something feels off, it probably is.

Another cornerstone of defensive riding is mastering the art of cornering. Approach each bend with caution, adjusting your speed and position to maintain optimal control. Stay in your lane, avoid sudden maneuvers, and always assume that there may be gravel, debris, or other obstacles lying in wait. And remember, slow in, fast outa smooth, controlled exit is far preferable to a reckless burst of speed.

Of course, no discussion of defensive riding would be complete without addressing the importance of proper gear. From helmets and gloves to armored jackets and sturdy boots, investing in high-quality protective gear is non-negotiable. Not only does it shield you from the elements, but it also serves as a vital line of defense in the event of a crash.

In essence, defensive riding is a mindseta commitment to safety, responsibility, and respect for the road. It&#039;s about acknowledging the inherent risks of motorcycling and taking proactive measures to mitigate them. So, the next time you saddle up for a ride, remember: it&#039;s not just about reaching your destinationit&#039;s about safeguarding.

Safe riding everyone

        Motorcycle Maintenance and Care

Taking care of your motorcycle is essential to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Regular maintenance and proper care will not only keep your bike running smoothly but also enhance your safety on the road. Here are some key areas to focus on:

Regular Servicing and Inspection

Just like any other vehicle, motorcycles require regular servicing and inspections. These should be carried out by a qualified mechanic who can check for any potential issues and address them before they become major problems. Servicing typically includes oil changes, filter replacements, and brake checks. Regular inspections ensure that all components are in good working order, including the tires, brakes, lights, and suspension.

Cleaning and Lubrication

Keeping your motorcycle clean is not just about aesthetics; it also plays a crucial role in preventing corrosion and maintaining the bike&#039;s performance. Regularly wash your motorcycle using mild soap and water, making sure to clean hard-to-reach areas. After washing, apply a protective wax or polish to maintain the paint and prevent fading. Additionally, lubricating moving parts such as the chain and cables will ensure smooth operation and prevent premature wear.

Safe Storage

When not in use, it&#039;s important to store your motorcycle in a safe and secure location. Ideally, keep it in a garage or covered area to protect it from the elements. If you don&#039;t have access to a garage, consider investing in a motorcycle cover to shield it from rain, sun, and dust. Proper storage also involves using a sturdy motorcycle stand or paddock stand to prevent flat spots on the tires and damage to the suspension.

By following these maintenance and care practices, you can keep your motorcycle in top shape, ensuring a safe and enjoyable riding experience for years to come.

        Joining Motorcycle Clubs and Communities

One of the most exciting aspects of owning a motorcycle is the sense of community that comes with it. Joining motorcycle clubs and communities allows you to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for riding. Here&#039;s why you should consider becoming part of a motorcycle club:

Camaraderie and Friendship

Joining a motorcycle club provides an opportunity to meet fellow riders and develop lifelong friendships. These clubs often organize group rides, social events, and gatherings where you can connect with people who share your love for motorcycles. The camaraderie and sense of belonging that come with being part of a club can enhance your overall riding experience.

Skill Enhancement

Many motorcycle clubs offer training programs and workshops to help riders improve their skills and knowledge. These programs cover various aspects of riding, including safety, cornering techniques, and emergency maneuvers. By participating in these training sessions, you can enhance your riding skills and gain valuable insights from experienced riders.

Adventure and Exploration

Motorcycle clubs often organize group rides to various destinations, allowing you to explore new places and experience thrilling adventures. Riding in a group not only adds an element of fun but also provides safety in numbers. Whether it&#039;s a weekend trip to the mountains or a cross-country expedition, these group rides offer a unique way to see the world and create unforgettable memories.

Joining a motorcycle club is a fantastic way to connect with fellow riders, improve your skills, and embark on thrilling adventures. It&#039;s a gateway to a vibrant community that shares your passion for motorcycles.

        Motorcycle Events and Rallies

Motorcycle events and rallies are an integral part of the motorcycle culture, offering riders a chance to gather, celebrate, and share their love for motorcycles. <title>Riding a motorcycle to commute can be cheaper than a car</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/riding-a-motorcycle-to-commute-can-be-cheaper-than-a-car</link>
    <description>
Riding a motorcycle to commute can be cheaper than a car.

Here are a few reasons why:

Fuel Efficiency:
Most motorcycles are more fuel-efficient than cars, which means you&#039;ll spend less money on petrol and go further for your money.

Maintenance Costs:
Motorcycles typically have fewer parts than cars, which means there are fewer things that can break down. Motorcycle maintenance is usually cheaper than car maintenance, there&#039;s only half the number of tyres too.

Insurance Costs:
Motorcycle insurance is often cheaper than car insurance. However, this can vary depending on the type of motorcycle you have and your driving history.

Parking:
Motorcycles and scooters take up less space than cars, which makes finding a parking spot easier. Motorcycles can be parked in tight spots that cars simply can&#039;t. In some cities, you can even park for free or at a discounted rate. There is usually bike only parking in many places.

Cost-effective:
Motorcycles and scooters cost less to purchase and maintain compared to cars.

Time-saving:
Motorcycle riders can easily manoeuvre through traffic jams and can even use bike lanes in some cities, thus saving time getting to their destination. This means you can get through traffic quickly and save time on your commute. Its always a great feeling filtering through extensive queuing traffic jams.

Environmentally friendly:
Motorcycles and scooters emit fewer emissions than cars, they consume less fuel and emit significantly fewer pollutants making them a more eco-friendly option.

Fun:
Riding a motorcycle or scooter can be exhilarating and enjoyable, which can make your daily commute more enjoyable. For many riders, owning a motorcycle is more than just transportation, it&#039;s an adventurous lifestyle that provides freedom and excitement.

Health Benefits:
Riding a motorcycle can be a great workout, improving balance, and flexibility while burning calories.

Connection with nature:
Riding a motorcycle allows you to connect with nature like no other vehicle can. You feel the wind, the sun, and the scenery around you, you do also feel the rain, but its more than made up for by the sunny rides. In fact withthe right gear you can happily ride in most conditions.

Social Interaction:
Owning a motorcycle enables you to connect with other bikers who share your passion for riding, which can lead to new friendships and experiences.

Overall, owning a motorcycle provides many benefits, both practical and emotional, making it an attractive option for transportation and a lifestyle choice.Want to know more, call in to your local Blade Showroom or give our friendly teams a call. We&#039;d be happy to talk about your requirements and answer any specific questions you might have about commuting on a motorcycle, and indeed offer advice on the type of motorbike or scooter and the right gear to keep you safe and secure on the roads.

    <title>International Women&#039;s Day - Inspiring Women in Motorcycling</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/international-womens-day-inspiring-women-in-motorcycling</link>
    <description>
The number of women riding motorcycles has been steadily on the increase, with the industry making it more accessible over the past few years. For those thinking about starting their motorcycle journey, and even for those who have been riding for years, we thought we would put together a list of some of our favourite inspirational female motorcycle riders that we think you should know about.

        Vanessa Ruck

Vanessa has a really incredible story to tell. After being hit by a red light jumping car while on her bicycle in 2014, she has endured a long road to recovery, through which she discovered her love for motorbikes, and thus The Girl On A Bike was born. She now uses her platform to share her ongoing journey while teaching others the importance of taking control when you feel low, resilience, and to make the most of each day.
Vanessa now regularly travels around the UK and the world, testing all kinds of motorcycles, working with top brands and even taking part in Rallies!

I recently chatted to Vanessa, who told me about her connection with Oxford Harley-Davidson. As a belated wedding anniversary when her Husband returned from Afghanistan, she organised two Harleys from us for the afternoon to take on a little adventure.

        Suzi Perry

Suzi has been a prominent figure in broadcasting for many years, and most people will probably know her best for reporting on MotoGP for the likes of BBC and BT Sport. Suzi is a keen advocate for women in motorcycling, being a rider herself, and in 2018 made a documentary for BBC called Queens of the Road where she followed the fortunes of three female road racers.

        Ana Carrasco

After falling in love with motorcycles from a very young age, Ana arrived on the scene in the Spanish Championship at 14. Since then, she has had many firsts in her career as a motorcycle racer, becoming the first Spanish woman to score points in the Moto3 World Championship at the age of 16. She also become the first woman ever to win a FIM World Championship race and in 2018 she became the first female rider in history to ever win a World Championship.

        Laia Sanz

Laia is an extremely successful female motorcycle racer, who has competed in many different disciplines. Some of her many achievements include, 14-time Womens Trial World Champion, 10-time Womens Trial European Champion, 11-time Womens Trophy winner at Rally Dakar (motorbikes) and 6-time Womens Enduro World Champion. Her accomplishments have made her famous all around the world and are sure to inspire any female rider that they can achieve anything.

        Beryl Swain

Beryl was a pioneer in the motorcycle racing community, being the first women ever to compete in, and finish, a solo TT race in 1962.

Beryl started racing 50cc bikes in the 1950s and when the FIM awarded the 50cc class world championship status to the Isle of Man TT in 1962, she entered. Having to wear a divers belt to reach the minimum weight at weigh in for her and her motorcycle, Beryl finished the race 22nd of 25 finishers.

<title>The UK&#039;s recent switch over to E10 petrol and how it will effect your motorcycle</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/the-uks-recent-switch-over-to-e10-petrol-and-how-it-will-effect-your-motorcycle</link>
<description>The UK recently made the switch over to E10 petrol, but with so much confusion, lack of information and clarity out there regarding what the actual difference is, we&#039;re left wondering what exactly it is going into our fuel tanks this year.

E10 simply put, is a greener, more environmentally friendly blend of petrol than the standard that the UK has used for many years now, previously using the E5 fuel blend. E10 contains a far higher percentage of renewable fuel, lowering carbon emissions overall across the board. The core of the fuel, bioethanol is produced by fermenting plants into an alcohol solution; these plants are sourced often from throw away crops that aren&#039;t used in food produce, and can be extracted from plants such as wheat, corn and sugar beets. Currently, the UK&#039;s greenhouse gas emissions are a target for the government to help us tackle climate change, and with passenger cars on the road making up around 20% of our emissions, the E10 switch could reduce our footprint pretty significantly, while being at little change to consumers around the country.

This fuel type is perfectly safe for your vehicle, whether it&#039;s a car, motorcycle or scooter and has been used by many countries in Europe for some months now. The fuel should be compatible with nearly all models of vehicles, but for clarity&#039;s sake, the government has produced an online tool that you can use to check the compatibility of your vehicle, which you can find here.

The new fuel is also estimated by the Depart for Transport to lower the price at the pump by 0.2 pence per litre, however, the drop has actually been seen to be more, going as low as 2.4p in the week leading to the switch at the end of August.

If you&#039;ve been driving or riding with the new fuel, have you noticed any differences, from your miles per gallon to performance? We&#039;d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Be sure to get in touch here.

<title>Click &amp; Collect and Aftersales are still available</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/click-and-collect-and-aftersales-are-still-available</link>
<description>I hope this info finds you safe and well.

Further to the Government announcement on Saturday 31st October regarding a new lockdown from 5th November, I felt it appropriate to contact you with an update on how these rules will be affecting our retailers.

Between now and the 5th we will be fully open as normal.

From the 5th November, our Service departments &amp; workshops remain fully operational for servicing, MOT and repairs, continuing with all the required social distancing measures that have been in place now for several months. To book an appointment please click here, or click call us in the header where you can find a full list of telephone numbers, or visit the contact us section of our website and select the retailer of your choice to send an email.

Our showrooms unfortunately cannot remain open during this period. However, whilst our physical showrooms will be closed for new and used sales, our digital showrooms are very much open. With functions such as online reservations, interactive 360 spins, videos and images, you should find everything you need without leaving the comfort of your home. Plus, our teams will still be on hand to take your phone calls, answer emails and talk to you on live chat or via virtual video appointments.

Our online shop for clothing, parts and accessories will also remain open during this period.

We will still be able to offer click and collect of new and used vehicles. You can still collect a car or van which has been purchased either online or via the telephone directly from our retailers. All vehicle handovers will take place from a designated exterior handover area and full social distancing practices will be in place to ensure the safety of both you and our employees.

For those of you who have an aftersales or click and collect appointments please note upon arrival to our retailers the doors may be locked. You will be provided a telephone number that you can call/ring a bell to gain entry. Unfortunately, due to the layout of our retailers this is necessary to ensure we keep the showrooms facilities closed. Thank you in advance for your understanding with this.

Your ongoing support and understanding is appreciated, and we look forward to seeing

you soon.

Your sincerely

Update from our Managing Director 5th May 20

We hope you are safe and well.

Since my last communication, it has become apparent that there is a real need and demand for us to increase the level of workshop capabilities across our entire group to help accommodate many of our customers needs not just key workers.

With this in mind, I am pleased to be able to say that from immediate effect, we will be reopening our workshops to provide a level of cover for all customers. The plan over the next few weeks will be to progressively increase capacity in-line with demand and staffing restrictions.

Please rest assured, all our facilities have been set up to allow the required social distancing measures and we will be able to complete any servicing and maintenance work without putting you or our staff at risk. <title>Coronavirus Update</title>
    <link>https://www.blademotorcycles.co.uk/news/coronavirus-update</link>
    <description>Update from our Managing Director

Temporary closure of our showrooms

Dear Customer,

Following advice from the UK Government and to ensure the welfare of our loyal customers and staff members, all of our retailers will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Please note if you have a vehicle on order which you were due to collect you can do so on a strictly by appointment/pre-agreed basis only until COB Thursday 26th March.

Our Aftersales departments will make sure every effort is made to complete all work that is currently with us and aim to return vehicles to all customers where possible by COB Thursday 26th March.

Whilst we find ourselves, in uncharted territories we are reacting on a daily basis to the UK Governments actions, and we are currently trying to work on a possible option to see if we are able to open a limited number of workshops specifically to help ensure that keyworkers vehicles stay safely on the road. We will be in touch as soon as have any developments.

I would like to thank our customers and colleagues for their support over the last few weeks as we have together navigated our way through this challenge.

If you would like to follow our progress, we will use our social media &amp; news pages on our websites to keep you updated on everything our teams are doing to support their communities.

We hope you keep safe during these uncertain times and we look forward to welcoming you back to your local retailer in the not so distant future.
