Ducati Diavel Range · 2025–2026
There are fast motorcycles. There are beautiful motorcycles. And then there are bikes that stop traffic, not because they’re revving at the redline, but simply because they exist. The Ducati Diavel has always occupied that rare third category, and with the current range Ducati has pushed that idea further than ever before.
Whether you’re drawn to the sharp, stripped-back thrill of the Diavel V4 RS, the award-winning all-round appeal of the Diavel V4, or the long-haul drama of the brand-new XDiavel V4, the Diavel family gives you something genuinely different. We’ve broken down each model so you can understand what makes them tick, and what it’s like to ride one on British roads.
The name itself is Bolognese dialect for “devil”, and from the original 2011 machine through to today’s V4-powered trio, that rebellious spirit has never left. What has changed is the engine. Where older Diavelts relied on an L-twin, the current generation adopts the V4 Granturismo, a four-cylinder unit whose roots trace directly back to the Desmosedici race engine that powers Ducati’s MotoGP effort. On paper, that’s extraordinary. On the road, it’s transformative.

The Diavel V4 is where the family story begins. It won the Red Dot Award 2024 “Best of the Best”, the most prestigious design prize in the industry, in the Product Design category. A motorcycle that looks extraordinary standing still and feels even better in motion.
At its heart sits the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine producing 168 hp, with a torque delivery that’s smooth and usable right from low revs, perfectly suited to real-world riding on British A-roads.
One genuinely remarkable ownership detail: valve clearance services are required every 60,000 km, roughly 37,000 miles. For many riders, that’s potentially a decade between valve adjustments.
For 2025, the Black Roadster Livery gains a bold Racing Yellow stripe across tank, tail, and side panels, a nod to Ducati’s racing heritage, developed by Centro Stile Ducati exclusively for the 2025 model year.

If the standard Diavel V4 represents the ideal balance of performance and daily usability, the Diavel V4 RS removes “daily usability” from the equation entirely, in the best possible way.
The RS uses the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale, Ducati’s Desmodromic V4, closely related to the MotoGP engine, delivering 182 hp, an additional 14 hp over the standard V4, plus that unmistakable dry clutch chatter that announces exactly what kind of motorcycle you’re riding.
The RS sheds 3 kg over the standard Diavel V4 through carbon fibre air intakes, single-seat tail, fenders, and tank covers. Each RS also carries a numbered aluminium plate on the rear cylinder head, a genuine collector’s piece.
Race mode, a first in the Diavel family, joins Sport, Touring and Wet, alongside Ducati Power Launch, DQS 2.0, and forged aluminium Y-spoke wheels on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.

The XDiavel V4 is the newest arrival in the Diavel family, and arguably its most ambitious chapter yet. After the V-twin XDiavel quietly disappeared from the UK, Ducati returned with something completely rebuilt: forward-mounted footpegs, V4 performance, and a seat height of just 770mm.
Voted MCN Best Cruiser 2025, the XDiavel V4 shares only its engine and single-sided swingarm with the standard Diavel V4, everything else is new. A longer, lower cast aluminium monocoque frame stretches the stance for a proper muscle-cruiser silhouette, while a 6.9” TFT display raises the technology bar for the entire cruiser segment.
The fully adjustable 50mm upside-down fork and rear shock with separate reservoir offer 25mm more travel than the old V-twin XDiavel, a real-world improvement for two-up touring on British roads. Exclusive Burning Red and Black Lava colours complete a machine unlike anything else in the cruiser market.

The Diavel range is built around four core riding virtues that make a real difference on UK roads.
The Granturismo’s flat torque curve means clean, confident progress from almost any speed.
Central or forward footpegs, an upright riding position, and a well-designed seat for full-day runs.
Riding Modes, Cornering ABS, traction and wheelie control that adapt to conditions and mood.
Valve checks at 60,000 km. Oil changes every 15,000 km. Simpler ownership than you’d expect.

There’s a question that always comes up when someone sees a Diavel for the first time: “Is it a naked? A cruiser? A tourer?” The honest answer is that it doesn’t particularly care, and that’s precisely what makes it so refreshing in a market where most motorcycles are designed by committee and aimed at everyone.
The V4 Granturismo engine is the foundation that ties the whole family together. It’s genuinely exceptional: smooth at low speeds, explosive when you open it up, and impressively refined for daily use. The 60,000 km valve service interval alone challenges most preconceptions about Ducati ownership costs.
The Diavel V4 is the pick for most riders, versatile, celebrated, and the model that captures the family spirit most completely. Perfect for winding A-roads and longer weekend runs.
The Diavel V4 RS is for a different kind of buyer, someone who wants the Diavel experience pushed to its outermost edge. The Desmosedici Stradale, dry clutch, Race mode, and carbon fibre panels make this one of the most characterful motorcycles on sale in Britain at any price.
And the XDiavel V4? If forward foot controls and a lower seat height matter to you, or if you’re covering longer distances two-up, this is an outstanding option. MCN naming it Best Cruiser 2025 ahead of everything else on sale says everything you need to know.

Blade Motor Cycles Limited an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Blade Motor Cycles Limited to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.
Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.
Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
