At the beginning of this month, our Sales Executive Ethan had the opportunity to take part in the Ducati Track Day at the legendary Donington Park, an event designed to thrill, challenge, and bring together Ducatisti from across the country. With track sessions available for all skill levels and expert instruction on offer, these Ducati-exclusive days are a must for any enthusiast. This year also saw the availability to hire some of Ducati’s most desirable bikes, including the Panigale V4, V2, Streetfighter V4 and V2, adding even more buzz to an already electric atmosphere.

Ethan shares his experience below.

"I was initially surprised by the amount of people; we got there relatively early and the car park was already full of vans unloading bikes into the garages. It was easily visable due to the Ducati flags and arches by all the garages. Next thing I noticed was the bikes, Superlegerra V4s, Panigale V4Rs. Some special bikes being used on track was exciting to see."

As well as the chance to bring your own Ducati to the circuit, riders could also hire a model from Ducati’s latest lineup. This included half-day sessions for the Panigale and Streetfighter ranges, with instruction included as part of the experience.

You even had the chance to upgrade your instruction to the current Ducati MOTOGP test rider Michele Pirro, which was really cool – seeing him on track and in the paddock. I didn’t opt for it as I have done plenty of track riding and racing. However, I did speak to plenty of people who did do the instruction and they said it was amazing, mainly to get the lines correct. Everyone that came off the rental bikes said that it was an awesome experience. The slots had sold out well in advance of the day.”

While the thrill of the track was undoubtedly a highlight, it was the atmosphere in the paddock that made a lasting impression on Ethan.

“To be honest, apart from riding on track with some awesome machines, it was really nice to chat to like-minded enthusiasts in the garages. The Ducati UK team came into all the garages to talk to people. There was a really nice community feeling throughout the whole day as everyone was passionate about every bike that was there and it was really nice chatting to everyone.”

So would Ethan reccomend a Ducati Track Day?

“Definitely! It’s a nicer set-up than a usual track day. You get fed breakfast and lunch included in the price, you get garage space so you can keep your tyre warmers on, and the team did a really good job of catering to every level of rider. The amount of special/unique Ducatis there was breathtaking, all the way from the old 888s to the new Panigales and everything in between. I would recommend it to any Ducatisti to do it at least once, I will definitely be doing the next one this year.”

So whether you're new to the track or a seasoned rider, the Ducati Track Day experience offers something truly special. With expert support, an incredible range of bikes, and the chance to ride one of the UK’s finest circuits in the company of fellow enthusiasts, it’s a day that celebrates everything great about Ducati.

Booking will open soon for the next Track day at Donington Park, taking place on 9th September 2025. Keep your eyes peeled on the Ducati UK website for updates.

Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Blade Motor Cycles Limited to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.

Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.

All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18s or over. Guarantees may be required.
