Ducati Desmo450 MX Factory
Take Ducati’s racing DNA into the dirt. The new Desmo450 MX Factory combines desmodromic power, premium Showa suspension and a full titanium Akrapovič exhaust in a lightweight, race-ready package built to make every lap count.
At the pinnacle of the MX project: the Desmo450 MX Factory
The most specialised bike in the Ducati MX family. For MY27 the Desmo450 MX Factory brings race-developed updates including 13/51 final gearing, new Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tyres and predictive maintenance via the Wi‑Fi module, alongside refinements to ergonomics, reliability and durability. Add an Akrapovič full titanium exhaust, dedicated Showa suspension, advanced electronics and new “Ducati Corse” racing graphics, and you have a truly race-ready package.

Race-Bred Chassis and Factory Components
The Desmo450 MX Factory is fitted with lightweight Showa suspension built for race-level reliability. Up front sits a 49 mm fork, adjustable for compression and rebound, with a Dark Kashima coating for factory-bike feel. At the rear, a progressive-linkage shock adjustable in compression. TiO-coated stanchions are 60% harder and have 10% less friction, while resisting chips and abrasion from sand and debris.
The aluminium frame is made from just 11 elements to minimise welds, combining cast, forged and extruded parts for a total weight of only 8.96 kg.
Racing components come as standard: a Holeshot device for stability and stronger starts, a disc protector and engine guard plate to keep mud and stones at bay, and billet Ergal steering plates that add stiffness while saving around 200 grams.
Braking is by Brembo callipers and master cylinder – a two-piston floating calliper at the front and a single-piston floating calliper at the rear – working with Galfer discs of 260 mm and 240 mm. New Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tyres provide grip in all ground conditions.
Ergonomics are improved with a new gear pedal tip for natural, precise shifts, a larger brake pedal tip for stability and control, and a wider 40 mm fuel cap for quicker refuelling at the track. New dedicated Factory graphics give the bike an even more distinctive, modern racing identity.
Desmodromic Power with a Full Titanium Akrapovič Exhaust
At the heart of the Desmo450 MX Factory is the 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine with desmodromic timing, producing 63.5 hp at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. With the limiter set at 11,900 rpm, the engine pulls hard for longer, reducing gear changes and helping riders fire off the line in the hunt for the holeshot.
The Akrapovič full titanium exhaust saves 1.7 kg, helping keep the bike’s weight to just 104 kg. Paired with dedicated engine mapping, it delivers a fuller torque curve and stronger top-end performance.
For MY27 the rear sprocket grows from 49 to 51 teeth, giving 13/51 final gearing. This increases torque at the rear wheel, making the bike even more responsive out of corners and when accelerating from low speeds.
Connected Electronics and Predictive Maintenance
The Ducati Com-Link Wi-Fi module links the Desmo450 MX Factory to the Ducati X-Link app, making it quick and easy to set up and monitor the bike. Riders can configure the two Riding Modes, adjusting throttle response, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Traction Control and Launch Control to suit them and the track.
X-Link also records data such as engine speed, throttle position, air temperature and pressure, and recommends suspension settings based on the rider’s weight, experience and the type of terrain.
A first for off-road, developed from Ducati’s MotoGP experience, predictive maintenance calculates service intervals based on how hard the engine is actually used. Servicing is split into a MID Service (piston replacement and valve clearance check) and a FULL Service (complete engine overhaul), with both intervals adapting to wear and riding conditions for long-term performance and reliability.
