NEW TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN 1200 TFC

The Fifth Chapter of Factory Custom

Triumph's Factory Custom programme produces a handful of machines each year — limited in number, elevated in every measurable way, and built for riders who want the finest version of an already accomplished motorcycle. The fifth chapter has arrived.

The 2027 Speed Twin 1200 TFC is limited to just 750 examples worldwide. It arrives with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear, Brembo Stylema radial calipers, twin Akrapovič titanium exhausts, high-gloss carbon fibre bodywork, and an exclusive Obsidian Gold finish that earns attention from across a car park. UK price: from £18,495 OTR. Deliveries begin October 2026.

TRIUMPH FACTORY CUSTOM: A RARE DISTINCTION

Five editions. 3,750 motorcycles. That's the entire TFC story.

The TFC badge has appeared on just four Triumph models before this one. The programme launched in 2019 with the Thruxton TFC, followed by the Rocket 3 TFC in 2020, and two limited Bobber TFCs in 2020 and 2024. Each was capped at 750 units worldwide. Each sold out.

The formula is consistent: take a beloved Triumph, upgrade the chassis with the finest available components, apply hand-crafted detailing that couldn't survive mass production, and give each machine its own numbered identity. A TFC is not simply a better-specified standard model — it's a distinct interpretation of the platform it's built on, realised at a level of finish that sets it apart from anything else in the range.

Why the Speed Twin?

The Speed Twin 1200 is among the most purposeful modern classics in Triumph's current line-up. Its café-racer-influenced proportions, sports-tuned 1200cc parallel twin engine, and relatively compact dimensions make it a natural fit for the TFC treatment — a platform that rewards premium suspension and brakes rather than simply absorbing them.

The existing Speed Twin 1200 RS already hints at the direction: Öhlins rear shocks, Brembo brakes, and a more sporting suspension tune. The TFC takes every element of that upgrade and goes beyond it, adding a level of visual and constructional distinction that the RS doesn't claim to offer.

OBSIDIAN GOLD & CARBON CRAFT

One colour. One finish. Nothing to choose — because this is it.

Obsidian Gold — Exclusive to the TFC

There is only one colour for the Speed Twin 1200 TFC: Obsidian Gold. Triumph describes it as a metallic black base with gold metal flakes that catch the light to produce a subtle golden glow, complemented by a marble-gold accent stripe that runs across the tank. In subdued light it reads as deep, dark charcoal. In direct sunlight, the gold catches and the finish reveals itself fully.

It's a paint job that demands attention without announcing itself. Understated in the way only a genuinely expensive finish can be.

High-gloss carbon fibre bodywork on the 2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC

Carbon Fibre Bodywork

High-gloss lacquered carbon fibre covers the front mudguard, rear mudguard, heel guards, and sculpted side panels. The material is lighter than the standard items and carries a motorsport-derived credibility that sits naturally alongside the Öhlins and Brembo hardware.

The dark details run throughout: black fork legs, black powder-coated engine covers, and black Akrapovič silencers with carbon-fibre end caps. Against this, gold accents are deliberate and restrained — gold chain finish, gold-anodised lower fork legs, and gold suspension adjusters add warmth without excess.

Laser-etched edition number on the billet aluminium top yoke of the 2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC

Numbered. Certified. Yours.

A billet aluminium top yoke carries each bike's unique edition number, laser-etched alongside the TFC emblem. The number is permanent, specific, and impossible to replicate — a quiet mark of identity that every TFC owner knows to look for.

Every Speed Twin 1200 TFC also ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Previous TFC editions have held their value well on the secondary market, which is rarely a coincidence when production numbers are this tight.

The seat completes the premium feel: a classic one-piece bench in black leather and high-grip sports suede, with rib details and hand-stitching that you'll notice every time you sit down.

ÖHLINS & BREMBO: THE CHASSIS THAT MATCHES THE AMBITION

Öhlins Suspension — Front and Rear

Triumph fitted the standard Speed Twin 1200 with Marzocchi suspension — components that serve the platform well. The TFC uses Öhlins throughout, with full adjustability at both ends.

At the front, 43mm upside-down Öhlins forks offer independent adjustment of preload, compression damping, and rebound damping over 120mm of wheel travel. The rear matches them with Öhlins twin RSUs fitted with external reservoirs, adjustable through the same parameters, delivering 123mm of travel. Both sets of adjusters carry that distinctive gold-anodised finish — functional details that double as visual ones.

Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers on the 2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC

Brembo Stylema Brakes

The brake specification is a significant step beyond the standard machine. Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers clamp twin 320mm floating discs at the front, driven through a Brembo radial master cylinder with an MCS span- and ratio-adjustable lever. The Stylemas are the same four-piston monoblock calipers used on dedicated sports motorcycles — high-specification hardware that the Speed Twin 1200's 214kg kerb weight and 103.5bhp output will allow a rider to explore fully without ever reaching the calipers' limits.

Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres (120/70 R17 front, 160/60 R17 rear) complete the contact patch equation — grip that the Öhlins chassis and Brembo anchors are capable of exploiting properly.

1200CC BONNEVILLE TWIN. AKRAPOVIČ VOICE.

The High Power Bonneville Twin

The engine in the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is the same 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel twin used across the Speed Twin 1200 range — the 'High Power' Bonneville unit, tuned for the RS variant and carried forward unchanged into the TFC. That means 105PS (103.5bhp) at 7,750rpm and 112Nm of torque available from 4,250rpm, delivered through the 270-degree crank firing order that gives the Bonneville twin its characteristic British parallel twin pulse.

Triumph made no internal engine changes for the TFC. The power output is identical to the standard RS. What changes is the soundtrack.

Twin Akrapovic titanium megaphone silencers on the 2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC

Twin Akrapovič Titanium Silencers

In place of the standard stainless steel megaphone silencers, the TFC receives twin Akrapovič units formed in lightweight titanium with carbon-fibre end caps and matching heat shields. They save weight, carry a sharper visual edge, and deliver what Triumph describes as a 'deep distinctive note' — still unmistakably Bonneville twin in character, but with more presence under load.

The full suite of Triumph rider technology travels with the drivetrain: Triumph Shift Assist provides smooth clutchless gear changes up and down the six-speed box, with rev-matched downshifts preserving composure on the way into corners. Three riding modes — Sport, Road, and Rain — adjust throttle response and traction control intervention. IMU-assisted cornering ABS works continuously in the background. And for longer runs, a USB-C charging port is integrated into the instrument binnacle. The official fuel consumption figure is 64.2mpg under test conditions.

The Speed Twin 1200 TFC is priced from £18,495 OTR in the UK. Finance options are available through Blade Triumph in Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Finance is subject to status; terms and conditions apply. Blade Motorcycles is a credit broker, not a lender.

How many Speed Twin 1200 TFC motorcycles are being made?

Triumph is producing just 750 Speed Twin 1200 TFC motorcycles in total, for all markets worldwide. Each carries its own unique edition number laser-etched on the billet aluminium top yoke alongside the TFC emblem, and is supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

When will the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC be available in the UK?

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2026. Orders are being taken now through authorised Triumph dealers, including both Blade Triumph dealerships in Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Given the limited global allocation, we would recommend not leaving an enquiry until the last moment.

What are the main differences between the Speed Twin 1200 TFC and the standard Speed Twin 1200?

The TFC replaces the standard suspension with fully adjustable Öhlins 43mm USD front forks and Öhlins twin rear shock absorbers with external reservoirs. Braking is upgraded to Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers with a Brembo MCS radial master cylinder. The exhaust becomes twin Akrapovič titanium megaphone silencers. The TFC also adds carbon fibre bodywork, the exclusive Obsidian Gold finish, clip-on handlebars, rearset footpegs, a billet aluminium top yoke, a premium leather and sports suede seat, and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres. The standard Speed Twin 1200 starts from £12,795 OTR - the TFC's premium of approximately £5,700 buys a comprehensively different motorcycle in terms of specification and exclusivity.

Blade Motor Cycles Limited an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Blade Motor Cycles Limited to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.

Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.

All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18s or over. Guarantees may be required.
