Harley-Davidson's Pan America 1250 ST has always been the range's road-focused option — quicker-steering, lower, and sharper than the adventure-spec Special. For 2026, it gets the most significant update since the model launched: a clutchless Quick Shifter fitted as standard, seven new selectable ride modes, and Adaptive Ride Height that takes the faff out of low-speed manoeuvring.
The result is a sport tourer with 150bhp, a big V-twin with real character, and more technology than many bikes twice its price. The 2026 Pan America 1250 ST is available now at Cheltenham Harley-Davidson, from £16,995 OTR.
View the Pan America 1250 STThe ST's core appeal — 17-inch wheels, lower seat, road-biased suspension — carries over unchanged. What's new are four meaningful additions that make the 2026 model a noticeably better all-round machine.
The 2026 ST gets a clutchless Quick Shifter as standard equipment, and it's a genuine upgrade to how the bike rides. Upshifts and downshifts happen cleanly without touching the clutch lever, which keeps your focus on the road and your right hand on the throttle where it belongs. On a fast A-road or a motorway overtake, it makes the Pan America feel genuinely quick.
Where the previous ST offered a handful of modes, the 2026 model introduces seven — giving you granular control over throttle response, traction control sensitivity, and engine braking. Whether you want relaxed progress on a wet November morning or the full 150bhp with sharper throttle mapping on a dry summer run, there's a mode that fits. All are selectable via the handlebar controls without stopping.
Adaptive Ride Height is a simple idea that works well in practice. When you slow to a stop, the suspension lowers the bike by approximately 25mm — enough to make a real difference for getting a foot flat on the ground. As you roll away, it rises back to full travel without any input from you. It's the kind of feature that makes a big motorcycle feel a lot less intimidating in town or when pulling in for fuel.
A visual touch, but an effective one. The new finned engine covers give the Revolution Max V-twin the look of a classic air-cooled Harley engine — all fins and presence — while the liquid cooling system underneath continues to do its job. It's a detail that makes the bike look more distinctly Harley and less generic sport tourer when you're standing next to it.
At the heart of the Pan America 1250 ST is Harley-Davidson's Revolution Max 1250 V-twin — a 60-degree, liquid-cooled engine that produces 150bhp at 8,750rpm and 123Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. Those are strong numbers for a sport tourer, but the figures only tell part of the story.
What makes the Revolution Max work so well on the road is the way the torque arrives. It builds progressively from low revs, peaks well before the top of the rev range, and stays strong all the way through. You don't need to work it hard to make progress — a roll of the throttle in whatever gear you're in gets the job done. On a long A-road run, that translates into genuinely relaxed riding that covers distance quickly without feeling like effort.
The engine also sounds right. It's not a thumping V-twin in the traditional Harley sense, but it has a distinctive character — mechanical, purposeful, with a note that picks up well as the revs climb. With the new Quick Shifter in the mix, working through the gears on a good road is something you'll look forward to rather than just tolerate.

The distinction between the Pan America ST and the adventure-spec Special comes down to one fundamental choice: wheel size. Where the Special runs a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear to give it credible off-road capability, the ST uses 17-inch wheels at both ends. That seemingly small difference has a significant effect on how the bike handles.
With 17-inch wheels shod with sport road tyres, the ST steers more quickly, changes direction more readily, and feels more at home pressing on through corners than it does picking its way along a fire road. If your riding is predominantly on-road — motorways, A-roads, the occasional back lane — the ST is the more natural fit.
The suspension is fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound damping at both ends, giving you the ability to dial in the setup for your weight and riding style. UK-spec bikes receive manually adjustable suspension, which is straightforward to set up and holds its setting reliably.
The seat height is lower than the Special, and the slimmer fuel tank shape means you can get your feet down more easily at junctions. Pair that with the Adaptive Ride Height's extra 25mm of lowering at a standstill, and a bike with a 1,250cc V-twin engine becomes notably easy to handle in traffic.
The Pan America Special uses a 19-inch front wheel and off-road-capable tyres, making it the better choice for adventure touring and light trail riding. The ST uses 17-inch wheels with sport road tyres on both ends — sharper, lower, and more focused on tarmac performance.
The 2026 Pan America 1250 ST is well-equipped with electronics, and the package is genuinely useful rather than a spec-sheet exercise.
The large colour display is one of the best in class — clear in direct sunlight, readable through a visor, and operable with gloves on. Navigation, trip data, media, and phone information are all accessible without stopping. Bluetooth connectivity pairs your phone for calls and music, handled through the display or the handlebar controls.
The seven selectable modes adjust throttle response, traction control, engine braking, and ABS intervention together. Sport sharpens the throttle and allows more wheel slip before the traction control steps in. Road gives a balanced default. Rain softens everything for low-grip conditions. The remaining modes cover touring, sport touring, and two rider-configurable profiles you can tune to your preference. Switching between them takes a couple of handlebar button presses and can be done on the move.
Both systems are lean-angle sensitive — meaning the bike knows when you're in a corner and modulates intervention accordingly. Cornering ABS allows you to brake later and more confidently than a conventional system, while the traction control manages wheelspin without the abrupt cut that older systems used to produce. On a mixed-condition UK road, these are the aids you want working in the background.
The 2026 model adds a clutchless Quick Shifter as standard, seven new selectable ride modes, Adaptive Ride Height that lowers the bike at a standstill, and new finned engine covers. The fundamental package — Revolution Max V-twin, 17-inch wheels, fully adjustable suspension — carries over from the well-received 2025 model.

Yes. The ST is designed for road riding with genuine touring ability. The Revolution Max engine delivers strong, accessible torque across a wide rev range, the windscreen provides good protection at motorway speeds, and the 6.8-inch TFT with Bluetooth keeps navigation and communications to hand. It is a different machine to the adventure-spec Special — more road-focused, less suited to rough tracks — but as a long-distance road tourer it is thoroughly capable.

Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Blade Motor Cycles Limited to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.
Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.
Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
